Caliber

Before the sirens could sound, Jace and I had left the place. By the time the media and police arrived, all evidence was wiped clean.

We returned to Seven's place, but no one spoke anything, and I immediately went to my room for a shower.

The kill was satisfying. Glavin screamed the entire time. The torture had his eyes bulging out and the veins on his neck.

He begged me to stop. But those women begged him too. Did he listen?

I scoffed. After the shower, I brushed my teeth and changed into something comfortable. I felt so exhausted and threw myself on the bed.

My phone rang almost immediately after my head hit the pillow. Jace's nickname remained unchanged. I forgot to show him that yet.

I probably should just to see his reaction.

"You missed me already?" I teased.

"I miss you every second and minute that we aren't together. Physically."

I chuckled, my eyes fluttering close.

"Me too," I answered.
