“You are making a terrible mistake listening to this human,” his mother commented when he summoned her to the Alpha’s sitting room for lunch and let her know his plan to make contact with my father. 


Leena and Lilith had gone to work with more villagers in the barracks moving to town. 


“We have never directly solicited help from humans nor involved them in our affairs,” she reminded him. 


“We’ve also never been directly threatened by humans or betrayed by our own kind before,” he reminded her.
