“We’ve also never been directly threatened by humans or betrayed by our own kind before,” he reminded her.
She turned her fierce golden eyes to me. “You are going to expose us all and get us all killed.”
“Mother, we’ve already been exposed,” Erich deflected her anger back to her. “I am the Alpha of this pack and it is my job to protect it. If there is a way to bring Josuan to heel in the human system then I’m willing to try it.”
