Chapter 39: Aubrey

Tyler grabbed a hold of his shirt off the kitchen floor and tugged it over himself. “Well, that was unexpected,” he said with a slight intonation. “If I had of known getting a girl her favourite ice cream would lead to sex, well I would’ve used that method a loong time ago.”

I looked up at him in sheer annoyance and shook my head while a small smile escaped out.

“It wasn’t the ice cream.”

“So, then—what was it?”

I slid on my joggers and smirked. “I don’t know, maybe the fact that you professed your love to me.”

“I’ve done that before though and it didn’t result in this,” he said, gesturing at the mess we had made in the kitchen.

I ran my hand up and down my arm and felt my flesh become warm. “Well, before I didn’t believe you.”

His eyes grew, focusing on me and only me. “And you do now?”

“Believe you love me, or trust you in general?”

“Both,” he answered.
