Chapter 28: TMI

Sammy moved around the penthouse wondering how she could pass the time. It was now almost three weeks since Leo had left for Ziofa, and he had neither called nor tried to communicate with her through any other channels.

The penthouse was void of any other sound, except for the low volume from the television. Her stomach rumbled rather loudly, reminding her she hadn't had a proper meal today. For a chef who was all about food, she sometimes did a horrible job of feeding herself.

She walked over to the kitchen and brought out a takeaway box. A small whiff of the contents made her decide it smelled fresh. She wasn't in the mood to cook. After emptying the contents onto a plate she popped it in the microwave.

A few minutes later a beeping sound alerted her to the fact that her food was warm enough to eat. She walked over to the lounge and settled on the carpeted floor of the apartment. As she did so, her stomach growled excitedly at the anticipation of being fed.
