Ethan Ainsley: "You may speak."
Nigel Hussey turned around, raising his head to look at the window above, "If you truly find yourself in a helpless situation, please send my daughter back to us safe and sound. The Bailey family will protect her, and you don't need to shoulder everything. Even from a position of power, our daughter is a precious loss we can't afford."
This might have been the crux of Nigel Hussey's concerns all along.
With downcast eyes, Ethan slowly looked up, his voice firm at this moment, "I will leave the Chamber. Please give me one more year."
Hearing this, Nigel Hussey, who was already calm, suddenly turned around, incredulously stared at Ethan: "You just said you would leave the Chamber?"
Ethan Ainsley: "Yes."
At first, Nigel expressed disbelief, then laughed coldly, "You have such an important position in Manor Island, powerful and influential, with everything within your grasp. Would you really give all of this up for my daughter?"
