Eye Candy Bodyguard

Juliana's hand felt sore when she woke up the next morning. She didn't wish to get up from bed this early, but the incessant alarm and routine she formed over the years made her remove her blanket.

After cleaning herself up, she went downstairs for breakfast while stretching her arms the entire time. Sebastian was precise with his time. She wasn't let off even by a minute.

By the time she arrived at the dining table, the breakfast was already served, and she pulled back the chair, sloppily sitting down. However, one glance from Sebastian made her fix her posture.

As she picked up her toast to take a bite, Maximilian asked, "Hey, Pipsqueak, want to go out to see the race today?"

That made Juliana's eyes brighten up, and she nodded. However, then, Maximilian showed a disheartened expression and added, "Too bad, you are grounded for two weeks and can't. Sucks to be you."

Juliana raised her toast up in the air and was about to throw it towards him in anger.

"You did it on purpose."

But before Juliana could shoot it, Sebastian said, "You don't play around with food, Lia. And, Max, can we try to have a peaceful breakfast for once?"

After one last glare at Maximilian, Juliana got back to eating while having loads of inner complaints. Why couldn't she be the older one? Everything would be perfect then.

And of course, the silence didn't last for long. Juliana and Maximilian, who couldn't stay a minute without teasing each other, started to argue once again on the topic of whose toast was cooked the best. The fights between them was always about silliest of matters.

It ended with Sebastian removing his glasses and pressing on his temple. There were situations that was even out of his hands.

Once the breakfast was over, a man in black suit made his way over to Sebastian and whispered something into his ear. After dismissing the man, Sebastian ordered Juliana: "Come to the living room once you are done."

After this, Sebastian left, and Juliana followed. The living room had the men in black suits stationed at each corner, and all of them were armed for security reasons.

In Juliana's opinion, it seemed too ostentatious, but if Sebastian said it was needed, who was she to argue.

One man stood in the middle of the living room and bowed politely at the presence of her brother in order to show respect before he enunciated, "Boss."

"This is Raymond Aldrich."

Juliana scanned the man from top to bottom and was beyond stunned. He was dangerously attractive. He had blond hair styled neatly and a pair of green-blue eyes. A sharp jawline, prominent cheek bones, finely shaped pink lips, and slightly tanned skin— he surely made heads turn.

A stoic expression sat on his face, and judging from his body, he definitely worked out, a lot at that. He towered over Juliana at the height of over six feet and oozed masculine charm over all.

The dull and boring black suit appeared alluring on him.

"You got me a boy toy?" Juliana sounded a little too excited.

At this, Raymond's lips parted slightly, and Sebastian shot her a stern look.

"Mind your behavior, Lia," he pointed out, and Juliana wiped out all signs of enthusiasm from her face.

Then, he carried on, "He will act as your bodyguard. He is responsible for your security and will be following you around. After the incident yesterday, I can't trust you to be on your own."

As though she had been greatly insulted, Juliana pointed out, "What do you mean bodyguard? I don't need one. I am more than capable of taking care of myself. After all, I am a martial—"

"If dare to complete that, I will make you face the wall for three hours today."

Obviously scared by the threat, Juliana made a zipping motion in front of her mouth. Then, after two seconds of silence, she started, "Sebastian, don't think I will agree to this just because you found an eye candy. I am not the type to be easily seduced."

Sebastian had a headache forming.

"Is this how a girl should talk?" he reprimanded, and using a much more intimidating tone, he added, "And when have my words not being the absolute? There was never a matter of your opinion."

Regardless of how much of brave soul Juliana was, each time she had those piercing eyes of her brother on her, her willpower dissipates into thin air.

"I am eighteen, an adult. I should have the rights to make my own decision regarding my life, and this sort of nosiness— I hate it."

Sebastian stepped closer to Juliana and looked down at her, making her feel smaller. As a result, Juliana was close to losing her composure. Those eyes of his darkened.

This brother of hers was too oppressive.

"Right, you are eighteen. But as long as you are a member of this family, you listen to me. Do you want to go against me?"

That made her immediately shake her head.

Of course not. She didn't dare.

Even she knew when to retreat.

Jumping over to Raymond's side, she grabbed on to his hand and flashed her brother a wide smile.

"You needn't worry, Sebastian. Raymond and I, we will become the bestest of friends who are joined hip to hip. I will even let him share my room."

"Ms. Juliana, I am afraid this is not appropriate."

Damn! Even his voice was pleasing to the ear.

With that, he attempted to pull away from Juliana's hold, but the girl didn't release him. She then vocalized, "Aye, don't be so shy. I know I am pretty."

"And, Juliana, I expect you to not harass your bodyguard."

Juliana scoffed, moving away from Raymond.

"I heard you got transferred to become the bodyguard of the Young Lady," spoke a young man in his twenties. He was named Cameron Wilson.

"Rumors travel fast," Raymond responded as he packed his bags.

Cameron plopped down on Raymond's bed and asked, "So, have you seen the lady?"

After a slight pause, Raymond nodded his head.

"I heard she is really pretty, a beauty that leaves you breathless, but once she opens that mouth of hers, that beauty is overshadowed. She is a tiresome daredevil filled with all sorts of ridiculous ideas. I don't know whether or not to congratulate you for this promotion."

"Oh?" Raymond seemed interested.

Cameron sighed.

"She grew up rich, spoiled, and unrestrained. Even the strongest of the men in the group wishes to not cross her path. Once you anger her, you are gone. You existence becomes poof. Happened many times."

Standing up, Cameron patted on his shoulder while staring at him in pity.

"She doesn't seem that bad," Raymond said, "Just a little foolish."

Cameron shook his head.

"That's why, I say that you have to pay strong attention to gossips around you instead of just single-mindedly training."
