The Invitation

Another day dawned.

Kaylee couldn't get up early this morning because she slept late yesterday. When she got up around nine in the morning to go about her work, she suddenly felt dizzy and had trouble breathing.

Since her parents had gone somewhere and she didn't want to bother them, she determined to stay in bed for a while without bothering her parents.

But Kaylee knew that her condition would become serious at any moment. But she was hoping that mom and dad would come home soon.

She stayed for about an hour but they still didn't come and her breathing got worse. She got up from her bed with difficulty and took her phone and tried to search for her mother's phone number in the contact list, but due to her panic, she could not find it, but she found Shehan's phone number. Kaylee thought of talking to him but she got a little afraid. But she had nothing else to do so she called Shehan.

Kaylee called him and told him that she was having a hard time breathing and to do something. He asked her the location of her place and came to her place.

It was then that Kaylee realized how much he cared about her. As soon as she told him that she was not feeling well, he came to her house in ten minutes. However, she immediately remembered Gabriel. He also falsely pretends to look after her. So she thought to accept support from him today and associate him as a close friend from a distance.

He said, "I have to get you to the hospital right away because I don't know what to do right now."

Kaylee agreed to it.

After she went to the hospital with Shehan, she noticed that her phone received hundreds of calls from her mother and father.

Kaylee thought of calling them back, but she didn't because they would blame her. Kaylee told Shehan to call her mother on her phone and tell them that their daughter is in a hospital in Colombo and send them the location of the hospital and then Kaylee and Shehan will tell each other what happened.

But Shehan didn't have any idea what to say when Kaylee's parents come and ask him about the thing that happened. He was frightened.

However, he did what he was told and waited until they arrived.

Eventually, they arrived and came directly to Shehan and asked "where's our daughter? Is she alright?"

"Yes, yes sir, she's alright. She will tell you everything" Shehan conveyed.

"But you know she isn't able to talk so you should tell us" Kaylee's dad displayed.

Shehan didn't know what to say. He couldn't decide whether to tell the truth or not because Kaylee had another plan. It's just that if Kaylee has another plan, it will be a different problem if Shehan tells the truth.

But Shehan didn't have a choice so he decided to tell them the truth.

"Oh, thanks for taking care of our daughter. We would appreciate it if you would come to our house for dinner tonight" Kaylee's mother conveyed.

"Yes sure auntie, I will" Shehan accepted the invitation because he had nothing else to say and because he wanted to get to know them.

A short time later, a message from the doctor said that Kylie was fine, and Kaylee left with her parents for their home and Shehan for his.

"OMG! Are you serious? What time is he coming?" Kaylee exclaimed in surprise.

"There is no official time. He comes at dinner time. Look at how good a person he is, he took care of you when we were away without even thinking that you were an outsider" Kaylee's mom expressed.

At that time, Kaylee found out that he had told them the truth. Kaylee was going to tell her parents later because of that Kaylee's parents would misunderstand Kaylee and Shehan when Shehan told them about what happened, but she was glad because he had described everything perfectly to them and didn't blame her parents on her.

"Oh! OK, Mom" Kaylee conveyed and ran to her room.

She lay in her bed wondering for a while if it was really going to happen because her mom and dad had invited Shehan to dinner and it couldn't happen.

She realized that something had happened to her luck.

She thought of doing something until he arrived.

She started authoring her book but she sensed stress while writing it because she recalled Payton, Gabriel, Salilus, Marie, and Raco and felt to stop writing her book.

After some time, she realized that she should not stop authoring her book because of them, and instead of authoring what she wanted to write in the book she turned the book to another person's life and started writing the book.

Whoa! That was great!

She felt that the new part and style she wrote were good. She thought of continuing to write her book.

When she continued writing, suddenly the doorbell rang.

And then Kaylee ran over to the door wishing it was Shehan.

When she was opening the door, it was an old man who is a neighbor to Kaylee and her parents.

Kaylee called her parents and they all started to talk.

Kaylee was sitting and hearing their conversation, Kaylee noticed that the old man was looking for them.

"Whoa! These people are very different than I ever think. Srilankans! These people are the best people that I have ever seen" Kaylee talked to herself.

Ten minutes after the old man left the house, the doorbell rang again and Kaylee thought it must be the old man. When she opened the door again, Shehan was on the other side of the door waiting for someone to open the door.

As Kaylee recognized Shehan, She asked Shehan to come inside the home and told her parents that he had arrived.

Her parents warmly welcomed him into their home, and Shehan and Kaylee's father struck up a conversation.

Kaylee started listening to their conversation with her mother. Kaylee was more interested in listening to their conversation when Shehan talked about the city he lives in and the surrounding environment.
