Rare Occurrence

"Who said he was just confessing?"

Everyone was taken aback by what Abidzar had just said. Especially with his hands embracing Iyya.

For Delyn, this is a rare occurrence. For the first time, he saw Abi embrace a woman.

Maybe Abi's face shows something normal, but believe me, his heart is beating very fast. His hands were about to tremble if he didn't hold them in. He just embraced though, not hugging. But that's how it is.

Stefan was silent. He's silent too. They were both shocked by what they had just heard.

"Abby?" Iyya looked at Abi with a blank face.

"Oh yeah? Just a girlfriend, right? I don't think it's going to get any further than that, right? I think you'd prefer to obey your mother, right?"

Abi's flat face hardened slightly. Stefani always associates everything she can't reach with her mother.

"Yeah. I'm just a boyfriend. But, it seems you should also realize that it's just a former candidate, not really an ex-fiancé."

Stefani looked at Iyya with a mocking look. "Okay. Be proud of being Abi's girlfriend now. Because, I don't think your happiness will last long," Stefani said then turned around and left first.

Coinciding with that, Abi also immediately released his embrace from Abiyya.

"Why let go? We're girlfriends right?"

"I did things like that just to save your pride," said Abi without even looking at Iyya.

"It's up to Abi. The important thing is that Abi just had a long talk with Iyya," said Iyya with an adorable innocent smile. Abi looked at him angrily, it was very difficult to make this woman back off.

Abi's cell phone ringing distracted Abi's attention. Mother's name was written there, which Abi immediately picked up after a long time.

    "Hello, Mother!"

Iya immediately shut up as soon as Abi spoke on the phone with his mother.

"You just do work for me, okay? Take the child to the house, don't let him contact me again for trivial things like this. I'm worried!"

Abi's eyes stared ahead. Straight with the existence of a woman who was standing near his car looking at him.

"Yes, Mother. Sorry for this, Abi promises that it will not happen again," said Abi for things that were not his fault.

    "Good then."

Then the call was cut off by Iris just like that. He put his cell phone back into his pocket.

"Me first!" Abi said goodbye to Delyn who was behind him. He left his friends to immediately approach the woman. Stefani.

"He hasn't come home yet," Iyya squeaked annoyed when he saw Abi approaching the woman earlier.

"I think Abi's mother also called because it's a girl," Delyn continued.

"But, I salute the way Abi talks to his mother. It looks very polite, the teachings must be really good," said Alula, who still remembered how polite Abi was.

Delyn who heard then chuckled sarcastically. He knows everything, knows how Abi has been with his mother all this time. It seemed to people who knew their family closely, that it was no longer a secret.

"Ish how come he's in Abi's car anyway." Iyya's annoyance grew when Stefani also got into the same car as Abi.

Delyn looked at Iyya with a look that meant many things.

"Yya, I think you should stop here to chase Abi," he said, making Iyya immediately turn his attention to Delyn, as well as Alula.

    "It means?"

"Don't go further or you will get sick later. Because, for Abidzar, his mother is everything. Even if he wants to, he won't be able to get it," he continued explaining. Delyn knows that there are not many things that Abi can do based on his heart's desire.

"No. It's not in Iya's dictionary the word surrender. Whatever the result, as long as you try, it's okay."

    ***

"Proven what I said? You won't be able to refute a single word of your mother."

Stefani turned her head to the side. The man that she never thought existed before, in fact, is now far away even though she is chasing him.

"If I'd been a little friendly, I wouldn't have chosen someone else first."

"Then why come back now? I'm still the same."

Stefani's view is now very difficult to interpret. He looked at Abi who was focused on driving.

"Because I don't like losing. I don't like you turning away from me. I don't like rejection. So, either way, you'll still be mine!"

"Do it, Stef. After all, my life is useless, right?"

"Yeah. You're useless, and you should have obeyed."

Abi doesn't want to fight anymore. It's free right? Stefani always complains to her mother. As a result, he still feels it.

"Tomorrow night there is a family dinner, to discuss the continuation of our engagement as well. It's better if you come if you don't want to cause more trouble."

After saying that, Stefani immediately got out of Abi's car. Making Abi also immediately pulls the gas away from the woman's yard.

A call from Delyn managed to make Abi stop his car on the side of the road. He knew that playing with his phone while driving was dangerous, so he wouldn't do it.

     "Why?"

     "Have you brought him back?"

     "Already."

"Good. Now, what do you want, Bi? He's coming again."

"So what do you want? What can I do?"

"You're not going to try to rebel? You don't like him, do you? Likewise before. Are you going to just obey that girl again?"

"If my mother wants that, then I have to do it. I don't want to make my mother sad."

"I don't think your father will like it when you see him like this. You have to take care of your mother, but don't sacrifice everything, right? You have to think about your happiness too!"

"Thanks for thinking about me. But, I don't think there is another choice. There's no reason for me to refuse your mother's wishes. I'm closing!" Abi first turned off the phone. He didn't want to hear more of what Delyn had to say. Not because of anything, because he really couldn't go against Iris' will, that's all.

     ***

"Where's Abi? Did you drop the girl off?" Iya immediately asked this as soon as Abi received the call. Even though he didn't know that the person who received it was busy at work.

"I'm at work, Yya. If you want to be angry, it's not clear later."

"Oh, don't hang up first. It's rare for Abi to take calls, Iyya. What are you working on?" His tone was immediately different.

    "None of your business either!"

Iyya chuckles in annoyance when Abi hangs up the call first. He should have killed him, not Abi. Because that's how it should have been from the start. Only Abi is different.

"Oh, where's Mamah's future son-in-law? He said he wanted to be brought here again," said Kalina, who just walked into Iyya's room.

Seeing Kalina enter, Iyya has a smart idea. For this one, Abi will not refuse at all.

"Mommy here!" Iyya pulled Kalina to sit with him on his bed. Then he dialed Abi's number again to call him. Once connected, Iyya immediately gave it to Kalina to talk to.

"What else, Yya? I'm really busy," said Abi immediately as he received the noisy call.

"Oh Abi, are you busy? I'm sorry if Auntie disturbs you."
