Dinner

And this is where they are. In a large room with a large sofa in the middle. Abi sat opposite Santoso while Iyya sat next to his father.

    "Prepare dinner!"

"Okay, ma'am," answered the butler at Iyya's house, then she did what their madam ordered.

"So, how far has your relationship gone?"

Abi and Iyya immediately looked at each other to find the right answer. With a look in his eyes Abi gave the code for Iyya to talk to him.

    "So daddy-"

"Papa wants to hear Abi speak," said Santoso, cutting off Iyya's words.

Abi swallowed her saliva with difficulty. Iyya was the one who had made a plan but he is the one who is being hit by the sap now. Believe me, a man is as smart as Abi when faced with a question like that from what the woman's father says, he suddenly becomes stupid. His intelligence just disappears so easily.

All of this is Abiya's fault. The woman had trapped Abidzar so that she ended up in this house and had to face scary questions. What did he say? Carry out a task? What tasks do parents get involved in too?

    "So-"

"Madam, the dining table is ready," said a waiter when Abi was just about to speak.

In his heart Abi was grateful, he survived the death attack even if it was only temporarily.

"Oh are you ready? Yes, let's eat first. Just continue the conversation later after eating."

"Okay, let's eat first!" asked Santoso to change one hundred and eighty degrees when he was about to interrogate Abi. This time the middle-aged man became a friendly man with five stars. Good father.

"Come on, let's eat!" Iyya exclaimed after heaving a sigh of relief.

He was just about to get up from his seat when his cell phone rang. He reached into his jeans pocket and saw who was calling him on a night like this.

"Uncle, Auntie, I want permission to pick up the phone first."

"Oh yes, Abi. Later, when it's finished, just join, okay?"

Abi nodded politely then chose to stay away to pick up the phone.

"Yes, Mother? What's wrong?" Abi forgot that he almost ended his life because of his mother's words last night. The relationship hasn't improved at all.

"Where are you. How dare you leave the house just like that. Later, if you leave the house, how will I have money? What if my husband's lawyer comes and looks for you but you're not there? Do you really want to make me miserable?"

Abi closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Looks like Abi will have to buy more patient stock later.

"Sorry, Mother. Now Abi is outside, at Abi's friend's house to do chores. For tonight, Mother, have dinner alone! Abi promises that Mr. Sugeng will not come," Abi said politely and gently.

Mr. Sugeng is Mahesa's preferred lawyer who has been a friend for a long time. He was entrusted with taking care of all business matters and family assets even though he was gone.

"I don't have a problem with dinner. Even if I can, I can have breakfast, lunch and dinner alone. Don't worry about it!"

"Yes, Mother. Mother, please have dinner in peace without Abi tonight, Mom. Abi, permission to hang up now!"

"Hey, wait a minute! I don't want to know, you have to go home now. Tonight, Sugeng's part is coming to the house. He can't possibly not come. Hurry home!"

"Yes, Mother," Abi replied then the call was disconnected by Iris. He glanced at the screen which displayed a wallpaper photo of the three of them. There are Mahesa, Iris and herself as a child.

Mr. Sugeng does have a special schedule to visit Mahesa's big house to check on their condition and stay in touch. And tonight is the schedule for this month.

He put his phone back in his jeans pocket. He walked back into Iyya's house to say goodbye to all of them. Iris couldn't be argued with for any reason and Abi could never refuse anything Iris wanted.

"Uncle, Aunt, Yya. Sorry beforehand, but I have to go home soon. Mother is waiting for me to have dinner together, I'm sorry to be alone," said Abi politely.

"Why are you going home? Don't eat with us here?" asked Santoso, looking confusedly at the teenage boy.

Iyya kept watching Abi after hearing that his mother had been waiting for him. Even though last night he was almost about to freefall to greet the cold river water.

"Uncle actually wants to, but maybe another time. The problem is that the mother is alone at home and no one accompanies her," Abi answered.

"Oh, okay then. We'll arrange the schedule again next time, Abi," said Kalina, gently stroking Abi's shoulder.

"Yes, Auntie. Then I say goodbye, Uncle, Aunt!"

"Yes, accompany Abi to come out!"

Santoso and Kalina nodded their heads allowing them to leave.

"How come Abi can just be normal after being disappointed so many times? If Iyya really hates it," Iyya chuckled while accompanying Abi out of his house.

"You don't want to hate your own parents? It's impossible, right?"

"Yes, but still. Abi isn't angry at all, you know. Iyya is getting excited himself," Iyya replied, exasperated to himself imagining how Abi behaved towards his mother. So curious how Abi's mother looks like.

"They are parents. Every human being has mistakes, so it's okay to be disappointed when they disappoint you," Abi answered, still with a smile that continued to grow.

Iyya even blushed to get a look like that from Abi. Since the hug earlier, Abi often smiles at Iyya. Makes Iyya seem to be floating.

"The first time I met Abi, Abi never smiled at all. But, why are you smiling so often now? Iyya is so awkward," Iyya said, making Abi chuckle with glee.

"I don't carelessly give a smile. If I think that person has the right, then I'll give it. So, lucky for you who can make me smile."

"Oh so it's a blessing like that? Thank God for that."

They laughed together afterwards. Abi immediately got on his motorbike after arriving at the location where his motorbike was parked.

"Okay, I'll be back. If you want to be picked up tomorrow, just tell me. I won't ignore it if you call again now," Abi said, making Iyya open her mouth wide.

"Seriously? Abi will always pick up Iyya's phone whenever it is now?"

"Yes, but don't forget the time if it's not really important," Abi chuckled, understanding what Iyya was thinking now.

Iyya laughed with satisfaction because Abi could realize what he meant.

"Well, go home! Iyya wants to roll around in the room after this."

   "I'm back!"

Iyya nodded then let Abi go leaving herself alone. After making sure that Abi had disappeared, Iyya returned to the house to continue her dinner. Afraid that Santoso will be angry if he forgets to eat dinner.
