The room fell into deep silence for a few minutes. Until someone woke up from his shock and started clapping.

*Clap, clap, clap*

Gradually more and more people started to clap and in the end the whole audience was clapping.

*Clap, clap, clap!*

A few of them even started to cheer loudly.

"Long live the highness!"

*Clap clap clap!*

"Down with the rotten nobles!"

Albert just lightly smiled and waited for the applaud to calm down. It took more then 10 minutes, when he finally could speak again.

"I know that a lot of you want to do something right now! But... "

Albert looked at their clearly malnourished and weak bodies.

"Your bodies are undeveloped from starving, the most of you can't even write or read. And you are just a children without any experience! So in the end you are all worthless for now!"

The children's face became downcast. Maybe it's cruel but Albert honestly tolled them their short coming upfront. He did this for two reason.

Firstly he believed that if you know your short comings then you will be more motivated to improve yourself.

And the other reason was that he didn't want to change the system by a bloody revolution like in the other world. Where the country's own people fought against each other but in the end the next government was just as corrupt as the last one.

No he wanted to make a revolution where the people accept the change and hopefully the only one who gets harmed are the ones who really deserve it.

"But you don't have to be worthless! We will teach all of you to fight, count, read and everything you need for the future! And once you all finished the training there will be no worthless child anymore!"

The determination came back to their eyes again stronger than ever. And they couldn't wait to start the training to become useful. The most of them since their birth only heard that how useless and worthless they are. So when a chance came that they can become something, they held onto it like a last straw!

"I am happy to see that the most of you are determined! And since this is an important day for all of us, I decided to..."

Albert motioned to the staff. Who then started to carry tables and chairs out into the courtyard.

"Have a big party!"

The staff started to fill the tables with mouth watering foods and drinks.

*Chiter-chater*

It has been a hour since the party started. Most of the children and the staff have already eaten. And now they were happily conserving with each other while drinking. Since the sun has already set, a big campfire was lit in the middle of the courtyard.

Albert was looking at that fire when Kris who probably in the last hour was occupied by the children, walked to him.

"Do you want to ask something?"

Albert asked without looking away from the fire. The question stunned Kris a little but after a few moments of hesitation he finally spoke.

"I can't judge your highness decisions but... Is it really good idea to go against the whole nobility?"

As a knight Kris knew that he shouldn't ask questions but he felt that Albert is just too reckless.

"Hehe" Albert chuckled a little but he still didn't move his eyes from the fire.

He was silent for a few seconds before answering.

"I actually won't stop at the nobility, no I will go against everyone who can't accept the future, the church, kings, countries if its needed then I will go against the world!"

Kris was shocked a little by his statement. Since he is his knight he knew that Albert had big ambitions but he never thought his sight was on the entire world.

Kris wanted to ask why, why put his ambitions so high when he can just inherit the throne and live happily ever after. But before he could ask Albert suddenly looked up from the flame and looked into his eyes.

"You might ask why, but to be exact I am not really sure..."

Before he continued the boy took his eyes of his knight and looked up at the night sky full with shining stars.

"Maybe, I really just want to grant people a better life, a life without war or starving. But I feel like it's not the only reason, there is something else..."

Staring at the sky a dreamy look appeared on Albert's face. And his voice sounded a little unsure and dreamy.

"I feel like there is a reason for my arrival! Something like an end goal, which I must reach!"

Kris didn't really understand what he was talking about but he still became stunned by the sudden change. He tried to say something but he couldn't form the words, so he stayed silent.

And after around a minute of silence Albert woke up from his daydreaming. It went just as suddenly as it came.

"Haha, what am I talking about?! We shouldn't talk about these heavy topic! Instead tell me about what is between you and Anul?!"

Diverting the topic Albert asked, which made Kris blush a little.

"There is nothing between us, I just met him once!"

Kris instantly denied a bit too loud since people started to look at him.

"Oh sure, sure..."

Albert looked at Kris sideways which caused made him more and more embarrassed.

And like that the evening passed with a light hearted, friendly conversation. Until it was time for Albert to go back to the castle. So the 30 escort assembled again. And before they went away they said goodbye to the sleepy orphans and the personal of the mansion.

After a 20 minutes long ride in the night of the city, the guards at the entrance of the castle let them in without a hitch. Kris and Albert split from there escort and headed towards the wing of the castle dedicated to the royal family. Where Albert knowing that Kris is probably dead tired, sent him to sleep. The knight thanked his kindness then said goodbye and headed to his room not far away from the royal wing.

When Kris's head finnaly hit his pillow after an exhausting week he felt like he could instantly feel asleep.

But he didn't because for some reason Kris remembered back Albert's sudden strange behavior under the starry sky.

He did end up sleeping after a few minutes. But the memory got so ingrained in his mind that he could never forget it in the future.
