CHAPTER TWENTY THREE : ENEMY OF MY ENEMY

"Pray tell, little one. How did you meet my brother?"

I almost spit out my hot chocolate when Marcus ask me that question and my eyes was wide open looking at him.

"What?"

Marcus chuckled.

"My brother,  William. How did you met him?"

Marcus and I dine in a cafe that specializes in fresh baked bread with the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted in my life.

I swear, I almost shed a tear with how creamy, decadent and sweet it is that if I were to die today, I would gladly do so with a smile.

Dip in the freshly baked croissant, I feel at home and memories of Lady and I enjoying similar dishes like this back when we could only afford to buy one from a basic bakery.

We had so little but our moments were precious.

I stare at  Marcus for a long time and replied.

"What makes you think we've met before?"

Marcus frowned while donning a sweet smile, "Then, I would call your meetings as love at first sight. I don't blame him. You are .. a breath of fresh air for our family."
