" What you see is not all there it is "
It has two meanings. First, appearances are deceptive, you don't know whether the scene displayed to you is the truth or not. Second, truth is often hidden underneath the cloud we all call logic.
Because some things are not logical or rational and we can't understand their sense until we encounter them.
She did not believe in the notion that everything is based on logic. The best things in life aren't logical. They are beyond logic.
And here she is, meeting a person like her, who believes in everything that is beyond logic. Ruby, a girl she just met, is researching supernatural human beings.
"I can't believe it. Are you serious?"
Violet's reaction was shocking when Ruby told her about her topic of research.
"Do you like to know and collect information about this stuff? Oh Gosh! Me too."
" Where have you been my whole life? "
And then they went on talking like two old friends who lost touch and met after 10 years.
Such a coincidence, she found a person who also believes in myths, folklore, and stories. What's more fun than sharing thoughts with a friend about supernatural beings, their powers, their rumours, their truths and their existence which is unknown to mere humans?
Indeed, life has something to offer you, you just gotta walk where it's taking you.
The world has given you a lot of things to love in your life, let's forget about the miseries and live a little.
Time was short but they both had so much to talk about. Surely, when you find someone from your crowd, you bond instantly.
They both exchanged their numbers before parting.
" I might not come again like this but we will stay in touch. " Violet told Ruby and hugged her saying bye. Her brother came to get her and she went back home feeling light.
"Mom! I'm home", she said aloud and went to check her mother in the kitchen. There she was, doing something completely unnecessary.
I wonder if all moms are like her. Always keeping herself busy doing something. Not taking time for proper rest. And getting a headache at the end of the day.
"Violet! do you want tea? " she asked and I replied, " No, I had a cup of tea in Uni."
"Alright then, make two cups of tea. One for your dad. He has spent enough time with documents, he must be needing tea. And make one for me too, I have a headache. "
"Okay, I'll make some, you can go and lie down. "
Violet sent her mom to her room and stayed alone in the kitchen with her thoughts.
If someone would have asked her what's she doing?
She would have answered me and my thoughts are hanging out today.
Thinking about her new friend to the topic that connected both of them made her think about the existence of supernatural beings.
Wouldn't it be so convenient if I had the power to correct every misunderstanding? she mulled.
Wouldn't it be convenient to defend me with all the proofs?
Wouldn't it be more convenient if I became a stronger version of myself, not the meek frail version that feels intimidated by negative people every time? She talked to herself in her head.
Why do people get intimidated by negative people?
How do they control positive people?
How the hell do they get what they want?
And she knew all the answers to her questions. But she didn't dare to believe them.
It doesn't matter, how hard a life she lived, she always wanted to get justice for herself and everyone around her.
That is the only thing that pushed her to fight for rights and the rights of her loved ones.
She couldn't bear injustice.
Fighting for justice and equality became her worst crime.
It's all because I'm born a Libra. Who possesses the sign of scales? Symbol of justice and creating balance. Being a libra has its downsides too, she thought. Sometimes I wonder if wouldn't it be great if I were a selfish, logical, calculating, practical and mean person like a Virgo. Thinking about Virgos makes her blood boil, she can't think straight she feels so angry.
She was wounded by a Virgo and had a hard time healing. No one can understand the pain that caused her. Everybody has that one person in their life whom they can't forget. A scar that couldn't fade.
It was that person whom she doesn't wanna think about but can't get out of her mind. The person who ruined her in places that she still struggles to heal.
I wonder if I had the power to hurt you, how would I hurt you, how much pain will be equal to the pain that I felt, she asked herself this question and her mind gave her an answer, she saved it in her memory for later.
( Somewhere in a busy city, inside a home)
" Don't worry my child! , your all miseries will come to an end soon.", looking at Violet through a mirror a voice assured and sympathised with her.
The smell of cinnamon tea refreshed the room. The table was set for the afternoon tea, having two cups, one teapot along with honey and lemon.
