Violet was not an insomniac. She had rough nights now and then because of her toxic memories.
Usually, she doesn't sleep until after 2 am. She always felt restless at that period around 2 am. She started having nightmares at that time. That's the reason she chose not to sleep before 2 am. The nightmares were not something she feared to happen, instead, it was something that happened and feared her. Even terrorized her to the core of her heart. Whenever she slept before 2, she would have that same nightmare, a terrible memory, an unspoken incident no one knew about, carved in her memory and tortured her. Scratched her skin, put a dagger in her heart, sucked every ounce of the blood off her body and left her trembling with no heart beat just a loud voice of thumping, deafening her ears and making her lose control.
" No, please, no, don't, please, don't ", she tried to speak but couldn't, two hands were gripping her body, and she was waving her hands blindly to not let that figure grip her, her attempts to free herself didn't work, out of breath she woke up in the middle of the night with her heart pounding violently.
She put a hand on her heart and the other hand on her ear. This is too much. Please let it stop. She cried for help to the heavens above. Every other night followed the same story. She saw that chilling memory again tonight. She will sell her soul to the person who could remove that memory from her mind. Yes, she was that desperate. She couldn't bear that pain anymore.
We all are desperate sometimes.
Because we all have those chapters that we don't wanna read out aloud.
( A girl in her teens was on the rooftop)
" You are my best friend you know, not because you are my cousin, but because you know me so well. ", an 18-year-old girl wearing a pink hoodie, cell phone in her hand, standing on the terrace texted this emotional message and hit the button send.
Her cell phone flashed with a new message from " Little Czn", and reading it she smiled childishly.
It was the month of October, autumn was approaching, and the weather at night became more pleasant than ever. It was the month that announced the beginning of something in her life that shouldn't have begun.
It's okay to chat with czns. But for her, it was the last thing she could do in her life. Her family values, traditions and morals didn't allow her to talk to the opposite gender and create a close relationship without any legal or blood relationship.
A legal or blood relationship means that she can't get close to any guy if he isn't her husband, brother or father.
And the way she saw it, it was perfect for her. It felt her safe and unapproachable. She was clumsy and uncomfortable talking to boys. Being a shy kid she always felt difficulty surviving in front of boys and even girls too.
Her school friends mocked her that she'll live her whole life as a nun.
"You know what you'll gonna become when you grow up? ' A Housewife".
They knew her friend would freak out if a boy ever called her. And sadly it was true.
She never had a boyfriend till 17. She was coy, shy and fearful of the opposite sex. Studying in a girls' school to studying in a girls college. She never really had an interaction with boys. And her czns were also aloof. They never bothered to talk to her. So, it was pretty safe, calm and boring. She is that kind of girl who gets scared if a boy ever walks past her too closely. Her breath would leave her lungs. Her lips tremble. Her eyes open wide enough like saucers whenever she has a slight encounter with any boy.
"Don't get involved with boys, they'll become the reason for your disgrace one day", she grew up listening to this advice from her mother.
And she always obeyed that advice.
But then what went wrong?
It was normal, to begin with. But for her, it was unusual. She knew she shouldn't get involved in it. But she was too naive of someone her age. She believed in goodness in people. She had a belief that good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people.
