Group Game

_12_ (Third Person's Point of View)

Bloody.

Scary.

Chilling.

The whole place is in complete chaos and it will be more chaotic once the last event of the Callous Exams starts.

Capture the Flag.

For someone who doesn't know what school RFA is, it would sound fun but for the students of RFA, it's no fun.

It's dangerous, bloody, and hellishly sinful.

Anything can happen in the said game.

Alliances.

Betrayal.

You can never tell a foe from an ally because at any moment in the game, betrayal and alliance can happen.

It's only 10 AM but the students are scattered around the area.

Everyone is looking for an ally, an alliance and there are also those who are reducing their opponent.

Everyone's controlling their bloodlust for now because once Capture the Flag begins they can go all out.

No limitations on who to kill or where to kill.

The student council has its own alliance.

They will be part of the game because it's mandatory but if they have a choice, especially Jaxith and Icarus, they won't participate.

It's one-sided.

That's what they think every time they look at the big screen where the top four names are displayed.

Unlike the other students who are frantically searching for allies and eliminating enemies, the four ladies whose cover names are dominating the top four spots are currently deep sleep.

They went to bed around 2 AM, almost 8 hours ago so they still would like to sleep, conserving energy for the last event.

The loud ringtone echoed in the silent halls of the building. It woke Jess up but the rest remained laying on their bed and only murmured

"Hmm," Jess groaned because it was her phone that rang

She sat up from lying and opened her eyes before she took her phone and checked the caller ID.

Her irritation flared up when she learned that the caller is Bryle.

'This dumbass,' she thought and answered the call

"What?" she hissed

[Good morning, Jess. Have you eaten?] Bryle asked cheerfully from the other line

"No, I was still asleep when you decided to disturb my sweet dreams! What do you want anyway?" Jess replied in complete annoyance and stood up

She frowned when she saw that even Chelsea wasn't woken up by the call.

Jess wore her sandals and went out of the room.

[Really? Then my voice is the first thing that you heard this morning?] Bryle asked Jess and the latter shrugged

"Why did you call, dumbass?" Jess asked and took food for breakfast from their food stocks

[I want to wish you luck, all of you. Please be safe, Jess.] Suddenly, Bryle's voice became worried

Jess ignored his tone and continued walking to the dining hall and sat there.

"We can do this. Bryle, you've been reminding me of that for a few days." Jess said and sighed

[Alright. Ah so, be careful. I will marry you.] Jess rolled her eyes before hanging up

She's used to Bryle always saying she's going to marry him.

Which she considers a joke because knowing Bryle, that guy would never put anything above his parents and younger sister, Carrienne.

"Wow, you two are so sweet early in the morning." Jess rolled her eyes and munched on her sandwich when she heard Irene

She tossed the bread container to Irene and the latter sat in front of her.

"Bryle's early today, are you still waiting? " Irene said and Jess shook her head

"Good morning, you guys have a plan?" Lavalee asked from the earpiece

"Morning," Irene and Jess greeted her

A little later, Chelsea and Lavalee also sat at the table

"So as usual, Chelsea will be on the defense system while we're on the offense," Lavalee said and typed something in the air with her keyboard

When the girls saw a hologram flashing on top of their nails, they placed it in mid-air using their hands as they study it.

The hologram showed their plan and Irene smirked.

"I see, I'll handle the traps and hindrances while collecting the flags if the members have them." Chelsea said

"While you are responsible for collecting the flags from the outside," Chelsea added and made a few adjustments to the system using her own nail keyboards

"Yes, but I'm also thinking of this," Lavalee said and swiped the hologram to the left side and another plan appeared before Jess, Irene, and Chelsea

"Isn't it dangerous? I mean, I know Chelsea is capable of fighting, but how about the system? Only Chelsea is registered and exempted." Jess asked confused

"That's why I'm going far from the building to avoid the system detecting me. Isn't that right, Lav?" Chelsea explained and Lavalee nodded

"I'm coming with her anyway so there's nothing to worry about." Lavalee said

"But it's dangerous for you," Jess and Chelsea almost said in unison the difference is that Chelsea's looking at Lavalee while Jess is looking at Chelsea.

Lavalee looked at Chelsea in confusion before sighing and shaking her head in contradiction.

"I can do it, I can do anything. Don't worry, it's nothing. " Lavalee said reassuringly

Irene and Jess are confused because they don't know what Lavalee and Chelsea are talking about.

It was as if something else was happening that was more dangerous than what was currently happening.

"What's up?" Lavalee and Chelsea nodded at Irene's question before climbing to the top.

Irene and Jess were left wondering so they climbed to the top.

"Don't ask about it. She will tell us about it when she wants to and when she's ready." Chelsea said from the earpiece so the two shook.

Chelsea thought the two would ask questions so she preceded them.

A few hours passed and the four were ready for the Capture the Flag. Chelsea also brought a bag containing several contents.

Like Lavalee's get up during the Pestilent Tag, they're armored and ready to face anyone.

The security system was heightened too tightly that Chelsea lost her exemption, she didn't tell Irene and Jess but Lavalee knew about it.

"Nice, you girls look sexy." Jaxith commented when the girls arrived on the center ground

All of them are wearing the same thing; short shorts, a crop top, an inch below the knee boots, net stockings, and a leather jacket.

All of them are dressed to kill, even Chelsea has a katana on her back.

Their hairs are tied up in a ponytail except for Chelsea who got hers in an elegant bun.

"Death Angels. You four looked like you're hired to bring souls to the afterlife with that all-black clothes of yours." Icarus said

"No, we're not wearing black," Chelsea said making the two boys knot their foreheads in confusion because as they can see the girls are wearing black

"I'll explain it, Lavalee and Irene's tops and my shorts are bistre-colored not black. Chelsea's top and my boots are Licorice. My top, Chelsea's shorts, and Irene's boots are onyx. Irene's shorts, Lavalee's, and Chelsea's boots are the only things in black color, do you understand?" Jess explained but the guys did not understand her explanation

"Shades," Lavalee explained using one word and the two guys nodded

"You made it sound so complicated, you could've just said; 'Guys, it's in different shades,', right?" Jaxith said which made them all chuckle especially when he tried to mimic Jess' voice.

"You're crazy, Jax! My voice isn't that high-pitched, you know!" Jess said and hit Jaxith's arm which made the latter wince

It's only 3 PM and in about two hours Capture the Flag will commence and while the other students are building their large groups, for it seems to be the surest way to assure that they will win that is, Lavalee and her friends are attracting attention not only because they were the top four and they're with student council officers but also because they are laughing and just chilling while eating.

Other students are getting more envious of them, why?

Because they seem like they didn't suffer, hunger or sleeplessness these past days. The student council having an appearance like that would be understandable but for the four girls, it is quite suspicious but their suspicion won't lead them anywhere apart from their deaths.

"Good afternoon, students! Are you ready?" the facilitator's voice boomed when the clock struck four pm.

'YESS!'

'GAME ON !!!'

They can't wait any longer, and it's very obvious.

All students focused on the facilitators standing on stage, with each pronunciation of the groups registered, the tension rises.

The earlier groups had a number not less than ten, but not more than 15 and it went on gradually until the maximum number of members of a group was seven, but that changed when it coincided with the final group.

"Last but never the least, DEATH'S ANGELS!" the immediate mention of that name, four beautiful women ascended and accepted a white cloth.

Envy.

That was the most dominant emotion of everyone in the center while looking at the four women, only the two men Jaxith and Icarus were proud while looking at the four women.

"Death's Angels... They really took Jaxith's idea." Icarus thought and shook her head

"We are giving you an hour to design your flags uniquely. These flags will be shown later and after the game. " The facilitator said and went down the stage

Lavalee, Jess, Irene, and Chelsea immediately gathered near the Student Council.

"Hey, don't think of copying us!" Jaxith shouted and acted to cover their banner

"You're being unbelievable, Jaxith," Irene said

"As if," Jess said and shook her head

"You took my idea of Death Angels!" like a child it stings

"It fits them, Jax. Can you even use it?" Icarus said and Jaxith frowned before smiling again so their companions shook their heads

"You seem to know each other very well." The Secretary of the Student Council, Shone, said

"Of course!" Jaxith said and stood up, he then walked over to stand next to Lavalee
