Wu Long was currently flying towards Linhai city, it was quite a distance from the Inverse Heaven sect, and quite frankly other than a few opportunities there was no reason for Wu Long to really go there. Yet he knew that the princess of the Feng clan, who possessed the rare Nine pendulum Phoenix physique was currently there visiting a branch. Feng Jiaying, granddaughter of the current Patriarch of the Feng clan in the Immortal realm, a monstrously powerful clan, born with blood of the divine beast - the Nine combustion Phoenix. Only second in terms of bloodline to the Nine colored Phoenix who were practically extinct and had basically no heirs.
In short Feng Jiaying, and the Feng clan behind her held incredible authority and power in both this mortal world, and especially in the Immortal realm. Yet more amazing than that was the fact that Feng Jiaying was actually a reincarnator. Feng Jiaying, or more accurately Jie Mei, the former Empress of the Northern Supreme Empire, an unparalleled genius with countless means. One could say with her knowledge and talent, Feng Jiaying was only awaiting her day of rule.
So then where did Ye Zheng come from? He was actually the reincarnation of Jia Mei's former lover.
Unbelievable, it was too unfortunate for Wu Long. With the various benefits Feng Jiaying offered, Wu Long could never surpass the couple.
Not to mention every time he had a one up on Ye Zheng, Feng Jiaying would just ask one of her servants with a powerful cultivation to save and injure Wu Long.
Wu Long grit his teeth in anger just remembering those days. He was like that bastard couples plaything.
Yet Wu Long who had knowledge from the future planned to use this very connection between the two to intercept and steal all of Ye Zheng's authority and armor.
The important thing to recognize was not only Feng Jiaying and he background, but more precisely her physique.
Whomever sleeps with her at a special time will actually unlock the Twelve divinities Phoenix physique. An incredibly strong physique that granted the user an overwhelming lordship over all Phoenix kind, not to mention the advantages to cultivation.
Otherwise how could Ye Zheng with his pathetic mortal background actually bring the Feng clan to accept him as their son in law.
Wu Long didn't care for the Feng clan, the amenity of the past persisted in his heart, and he swore to eventually destroy that clan, yet they could become a good resource pool.
Wu Long knew the truth would eventually come out, but frankly he didn't care, there was no regret medicine. Once he stole her virginity, and gained that outlandish power it wouldn't matter. Wu Long could only thank his stars that those bastards from the Phoenix clan would run their mouths without failure Everytime they came to beat him around, they would gladly throw their problems and issues with Ye Zheng at him, but not at the root of the issue lest they face his or much worse their demoness like little princesses wrath.
Wu Long felt his mouth fill with sour bile every time he reminded himself of those bastards, they were Earth Immortals who had quickly popped over to beat him who wasn't even as Divinity crossing at the time.
Regardless he knew a lot about how their relationship progressed, and even the exact words that Ye Zheng used.
'A million stars have passed, how are you my wife. Peh!' Wu Long spat as he memorized his lines, they were too cliche and boring.
Wu Long had actually never met Feng Jiaying, only having heard about her. He presumed she was a fair beauty, but nothing more.
Furthermore if we were talking about love, Wu Long had long since thrown such a notion from his beliefs. In this pugilistic world nothing could come from such a notion, of course Wu Long had remembered the countless bittersweet romances that filled the world of literature. Even he felt envious, the deep passion, the love. Even those sorrowful stories, he desired their sorrow. It wasn't that he was masochistic, but he longed to feel such a deep emotion for someone else, and for them to feel the same for him, perhaps it had been drained of it's vitality, but that piece of his heart had hidden within the vast anger and evil that bathed his heart. He had grown far too cold, and weary from this lonesome path, and even sometimes wished silently to have an ordinary life.
...
Linhai city could be seen ahead. It wasn't spectacular, with small Pagodas for the various powers, and a few villas for the richer men and women. A bath of trees covered the city, and shielded it from evil eyed beasts, most notably any hot blooded bandits.
Linhai while small, had a long and proper history. This mostly stemmed from the Feng clan branch. They couldn't be compared to the main branch, but they were incomparably stronger than regular mortals.
Wu Long removed himself from Lightning his masters former mount, and let it hunt freely.
He then zoomed past the forest, and soon arrived.
His robe had changed to a more amiable, and charming cream white. His jade like fingers swept out a feathered fan. The peacock feathers danced and brushed the horrible heat away.
Wu Long himself didn't feel too much of an issue, yet still presented the identity of a charming young lord.
His steps were soft, and refined. His aura itself already boosted his charm, but his movements conveyed a undeniable regality.
His eyes softly touched upon all who stood. A beggar having perhaps found hope, slowly and carefully approached Wu Long.
Wu Long gazed at the old man, his sorry look complimented his disheveled hair and beard, his body reeked of days of sweat accumulating. His stomach had sunk in, and his cheeks seemed to pop out of his flesh.
Wu Long mostly eyed the old man's eyes, and body.
After a few moments Wu Long sighed, "I am new to this city. Guide me around, and I will give you 10 gold taels. Yet if I am to find you having misused that money on gambling, or drugs and not on more pressing matters like your health, I will make you pay dearly. So do you dare take my offer?"
The beggar was stunned, and wanted to hurriedly accept. Yet as he gazed into Wu Long's eyes, he began to shudder. He was in fact going to spend a little on gambling, but even he knew that little would turn into everything.
The beggar retreated, he said, "Apologies young master, but although I wish to agree with your proposal, I doubt my own capabilities."
Wu Long smiled softly, "It doesn't matter if you can or cannot, it only matters that you can reflect and strive to overcome any obstacles you have. You mustn't hope, but work hard."
Wu Long's eyes flashed, and the beggar began to feel the small, seed of intent to better himself grow, it was like a dried seed suddenly being flooded with vitality.
His eyes showed a composed determination, he bowed his head to Wu Long, "As you say young master! As long as I try there is nothing more important! Only a worthless beast would not even think to attempt to change himself. Although I am still not confident in myself, if I do nothing I will forever live in this horrible condition."
Wu Long nodded, and said, "Lets go find an inn, I want to rest for a while, and you need to have a wash."
The beggar hurriedly nodded.
The two rushed to an inn, and then as quickly departed.
The beggar showed Wu Long the locale, the sights from the small hills in the city, to the scenic gardens. Furthermore he carefully warned Wu Long of a few things, firstly was the absurd poverty in the city, this was mostly a result of the overbearing manners of the powerful clans and lords that existed here, but when beggar explained it to be excess, in truth Wu Long knew everywhere was like this. The strong took whatever they wanted from the weak, it was as simple as that. Secondly it was the fact that very recently two clans had been at war, although it hasn't reached the point of bloodshed, it was deeply disturbing, with small stores facing the brunt of the damage due to the young masters arrogance. Wu Long was surprised to find it was the Feng clan and the Li clan.
In fact as the two were walking towards a noodle shop for lunch a loud voice could be heard with the breaking off glass.
Wu Long watched in shock as a two men flew through the window of a small shop, spinning on the ground each trying to defeat the other.
Both young men seemed unrelenting, and would continuously attempt to best the other.
Wu Long gazed at this scene, and couldn't help reminisce of those comedy martial arts plays he watched, it was rather similar. Especially the two flung from the window, it was totally action packed.
One fellow with black hair neatly tied into a bun, with a deep blue robe now dirtied by dirt loudly exclaimed, "Feng Longwei, you dirty bastard I told you that necklace was mine! How dare you try and steal it from me!"
The youth with short red hair reaching his shoulders laughed, "Li Guang if you can't pay, then don't act! You should know your place, and stop attempting to court miss Tang Wei if you don't have the capabilities to fund such a meaningful act!"
Li Guang the youth in the deep blue robe, felt his face heat up as he heard this bastard in front of him call him inadequate. He loudly reprimanded, "At least I don't act above my station! Feng? You look more like and ugly, long necked, long nosed goose! Your fatty mother, must have laid a fat goose egg to make such a pig headed bastard like you!"
The two stared daggers at one another, meanwhile a woman with long black hair and big circular glasses, flared up inside the shop these two flew from. Her hands on her hips, smoke began to fly from her head.
"You two bastards! Every day you come here, and fight, and every day you break my window! Pay me back! I won't forget this animosity for a hundred generation's!"
The two stared at one another, and silently nodded.
Rather than bare the blame they'd rather have an eternal tug and war, neither winning nor losing. This could be summed up to the second generation young masters pride and honor.
Eventually the ground grew tired, these two youth had been stuck spinning on the ground like a shameful donkey, splashing mud and dirt all over their faces and clothes for over ten minutes.
Even if they felt these two were inadequate no one dared to speak out.
Wu Long himself found the whole thing quite funny, and honestly couldn't see any true malice between the two, it was more the hot blooded temper of youth.
He laughed, and commented like an old man, "Ai, these kids are always so playful, it's quite entertaining for this old man."
Many in the crowd stared at Wu Long in deep contrast, 'Old? What are we then, bastard like fellow.'
Yet as everyone was set to leave, and the youths silently made compromise, a soft voice could be heard.
"What are you doing disgracing the honor of the Feng clan! Do you want to die?"
