Chapter 3 Getting ready to meet the boss

Anna woke up seeing that she was curled into Giovanna's side. Giovanna had passed out with his head against the couch. She smiled as she looked at him. She slowly moved away from him in order to head to the kitchen. She got up and gently pulled the blanket over him before grabbing her phone and walking into the kitchen. She quickly calls her works "Hey, I won't be able to come in for a week or so, I was attacked 3, well 4 days now and I'm still trying to recover" Anna says over the phone to her boss, "Sounds good rest up okay" Her boss says before they hang up. Anna quickly looked around the kitchen. Anna quickly pulled out pancake mix and started to make pancakes.

Anna quickly made the food and as she waited for the pancakes to cook while washing the items that she had dirtied. She the sat at the table on her phone sending texts to her mother saying that she was okay and that she was safe. She didn't want to tell her mother what happened because she didn't want to make her worry. She put her phone down and flipped the pancakes and made sure that the bacon wasn't getting overcooked.

Anna had quickly plated the pancakes and bacon that she had made, before bringing the two plates of food to the living room before gently tapping Giovanna awake. "Good morning sleepyhead, I made you breakfast" she says with a smile. Giovanna smiled as Anna woke him up, he looked up at her and noticed two plates in her hands "tesola you didn't have to." He said looking up at her. "I know I didn't have to but I wanted to" she says sitting beside him and passing him his plate. They both ate their food in silence, both enjoying their food.

Anna smiled as she took there plates and went to start washing them, Giovanna follows behind her and quickly stops her from doing the dishes "Nope, you cooked I'll clean up" he said looking at her. She smiles and looks up at him "At least let me help" she says looking at him. He shakes his head and gently pushes her to the couch and sits her down. "Stay, relax" he says as he walks back to the kitchen and starts to clean up. "are you sure you don't need help?" she asks as she looks towards the kitchen. He walks to the living room drying a pan "Yes, I'm sure." he says before looking at her "You should take a shower, Your going to meet the boss today" he says looking at her.

"I'm meeting the boss today?" She asks looking at him. He nods and she softly pales out. "Okay, Anything in specific that I should wear?" she asks Giovanna. "Wear a Elegant white Dress and bring a Black dress and Black shoes." he says as she nods "there's a shower in your room so you can shower in there" He says as she nods and heads upstairs. She walks into her room and pulls out her clothes from her bag. She starts to unpack her bags. As she does that she puts her clothes away in the closet and dressers, before ultimately hanging a white dress out and grabbing her shampoo and heading into the bathroom.

She quickly takes a shower and washes her hair. She goes to wash her wounds but winces slightly at the pain. She feels tears fall down her face as she quickly washes the soap off her wounds. 'crap I can't do this by myself' she thinks to herself as she quickly turns off the water and wraps a towel around herself before heading out of her room and downstairs. "Giovanna?" Anna calls out softly. "Yes Tesola?" he replies walking over to her. He stops when he sees the tears in her eyes. "what's wrong?" He asks her softly. "I tried to wash my wounds but it to much to do by myself, can you help me?" She asks as he nods and wraps his arms around her in a hug. "Of course" he says as he walks with her back upstairs. Giovanna leads her to his bathroom and sits her down in the tub.

He helps her to wash her body before she started laying back and purely enjoying hot warm the water felt. Giovanni looks over to her "I'm gonna go chill out in the other room when you want to get out let me know" Anna just hums in acknowledgement. After about ten minutes of sitting in the water Anna unplugged the tub and called out for Giovanna. Giovanna walks into the room.

Giovanna quickly dried off Anna's wounds and helped her out of the tub. "Thank you" she says softly with a smile. "Of course" he says as he walks her back to her room. "Well if you'll excuse me I got to get ready" she says as Giovanna nods. She walks into her room and closes the door. She smiles as she packs her other dress, shoes, makeup, accessories and walked to the bathroom to put up her hair and make up. She smiled pleased as she grabbed her bags and walked down stairs.

The dress she was wearing was pure white. It had jewels all over the top of it and and an open back the skirt went to her knees as the back of the skirt falls to her ankles. Her hair is up in a beautiful fishtail braid. She then walkes into the bathroom and gives herself a smokey eye look. She then puts on a flower necklace and flower earings and grabs her bag of other clothes and her white purse while quickly slipping into her white heels that have flower patterns all over them. When Anna walked downstairs she saw that Giovanna was waiting for her in a gray suit.

At around 12:00 Anna had finished getting ready. She looked herself up and down in the mirror. She started to say encouraging things. 'I can do this, I'll be okay' she says to herself. She quickly placed makeup on her tattoo not wanting anybody to know that she had a tattoo on the back of her neck. She smiled in the mirror and quickly sprayed a setting spray for her makeup and hair. She grabbed her bag that contained her extra dress and items. She smiled before opening her door and closes it behind her. She starts to walk down the stairs.

Giovanna smiled as Anna walked down the stairs in her white dress, "You look stunning" he says as he goes to take her bags. "Why thank you tesola" she says as she gives him the bags. "Shall we leave now?" He asks and she nods. They both walk to his car. She sees his other suit in the back seat, she also sees that he hung her dress up in the back. Giovanna opens the door for her "after you" He says and she smiles "Such a gentleman" she says as she gets in. He closes the door and gets into the drivers side. "some of the few things that you should know before we get there are, stand strong and look proud okay?" he says looking at her before backing out and driving off.

"Why?" She asks Giovanna before he looked at her. "Something I didn't tell you is that all of the other bosses will be there. So the bosses from the Fire serpents and the Silent death will be there as well." Anna pales out and nods. "Okay, So basically stand tall and look proud" she says to herself as they drive off down the highway. Anna stares out the window as Giovanna takes them down a hidden off road path. "Were almost there" He says as she nods. She quickly checks her makeup and hair before talking a deep breath as they pull up. Giovanna parks and looks at her "are you ready" He asks her. She nods as Giovanna gets out and opens the door for Anna.

"Thank you." She says softly. He nods before whispering in her ear "Halfway through were going to leave and change." He says and she nods. She fixes her posture and stands tall as she wraps her arm around Giovanna's. "Let's go" He says. She nods as they start walking towards the door before Giovanna knocks on the door. The door opens and Giovanna leads them down the hallway. He knocks once then twice then once again. The door gets opened as they walked in as they walk into a room full of people. Anna and Giovanna share one last look and walk in. Giovanna walks towards his boss. Giovanna stands beside his boss and has Anna stand beside him.

"Let the meeting begin" Adolpho says. A woman approached them "My name is Olimpia Ambrogi, I am the leader of the Fire serpents." she says before bowing her head and walking to the left of the room. As she gets to the left of the room a male walked in front of them "My name is Angelo Rosario, I am the leader of The Silent Death" he says glaring at Anna before walking to the left of the room. Adolpho looks at Anna before whispering to her "Anna darling please walk middle of the room and introduce yourself." Anna Nods and walks to the center of the room and turns to look forward "My name is Anna Rosewood and I am the newest member Of the Crimson Takers." she says her voice strong as she looks at Giovanna and Adolpho who nod in approval. "Now that everyone has been introduced Lets get down to the basis as to why we are here." Adolpho says.

"Anna, Can you please tell us what happened to you that had put you in the hospital" Adolpho says as Anna nods. "I was working the night shift that day. As I finished up work and closed up the shop I started to walk home. I walk to and from work because it's a 20 minute walk" she continues to say as she gulps softly, She keeps her head held high as she goes back to explaining. "I was halfway home when a group of men stopped me. I tried to leave but they stopped me. They held me down and they all took a turn with me. I struggled and got cut in the arms and legs in the process" She says as she turns around to show everyone the scars on her arms and legs. Adolpho and Olimpia both let out a soft gasp as Angelo smirked.

"Well that was your fault with the way you were dressed now wasn't it?" Angelo said. Olimpia let out a growl and walked towards Anna protectively. Adolpho looks at them "Anna, can you tell us if the man who lead the assault on you is here?" Anna nods "Yes he is" She says. "Can you tell us who he is?" Adolpho asked. "It was Angelo" She said. Olimpia Moved to stand in front of Anna. "He broke the treaty" She says. Giovanna quickly walked to Anna and walked out of the room with her. "That was a good job, we can take our time changing, Olimpia and Adolpho are pissed." Anna nods and both her and Giovanna quickly heads out to the car.

Anna quickly got in the car and opened her bag before quickly getting undressed and changed into a black dress. The sleeves start at the arm and flow out from there. The dress had a lot of black lace over it. She then quickly undid her hair from the fish tail and quickly put her hair up in a rose style hairdo. She then proceeds to kick off the white heels and puts on black boots. She then proceeds to wipe the makeup off her face and re-did it with a black eye design. She put on a rose choker and rose earrings and grabbing her rose wallet before walking out of the car. As she walks out of the car Giovanna gets into the car and quickly changes into a new black tuxedo. He then gets out and walks over to Anna.
