11: HE LET HIM IN

"Mom, could you drop me at Scarlett's home...I miss her."

"Me too, I'd like to accompany Reese." Ethel quickly butted in before his mom could speak.

Reese slowly faced Ethelbert with a curious look. Matilda silently watched them through the rear-view mirror.

"Alright," she answered.

It was a long ride, Reese's eyes felt heavy and drowsy. She yawned and leaned her head on Ethelbert's shoulder, not long after, she fell asleep.

Ethel had many questions he wanted to ask Reese, but with the way she looked right now he didn't have the heart to wake her until they arrived at Scarlett's home.

"Make sure you both come back home on time." Matilda reminded them and they nodded their heads like robots.

They alighted the car and headed for Scarlett's front door. Reese pressed the alarm button and patiently waited for someone to answer it.

Shortly after, Scarlett's junior brother answered it. His eyes went wide when he saw Ethelbert.

"Ethel...Reese."
