19: THE OUTCOME

The wailings and cries of a grieving mother filled the room and no one could stop her because she wasn't in the mood to listen to anyone at all.

She kept calling out to her lifeless daughter to come back to her.

The family doctor had a sad and pitiful look. He suspected her death was caused by the dots at her neck which looked like a snake bite. He had a frown as he examined her body.

On the other side of the bed stood father Jordan, he had a serious but sad look. Her death was so sudden and it didn't feel right to him at all, internally he was praying for her soul wherever it was.

No one knew where Ethelbert had gone. When he was told that his sister was no more, it struck him hard in his chest and he hurried out of the room in tears.

Manoah couldn't leave his wife but at the same time he couldn't leave Ethelbert alone for fear that he might injure himself.
