42: MEETING HER DEATH

Scarlett ended up smiling sheepishly and her face turned red. He carefully dropped the bowl of fruits on the dinning table before giving her his attention.

However, she laughed nervously and scratched the back of her head.

How do she start saying she had been watching him, she thought to herself.

"Alright now, let's eat before the food gets cold," her mother came in through the kitchen door with a hearty look.

Scarlett sighed in relief before taking her seat. Her brother sat beside her while James sat beside Hayden across Scarlett and her brother.

Magdalene, Scarlett's mother, took the head seat and gave each one of them a look.

"Jamie, pray for us please," she picked him and Scarlett thanked heavens it wasn't her.

His eyes widened slightly and he snickered. Magdalene gave him a look and he cleared his throat.

"You know I'm still learning how to pray Aunt," he tried to escape.
