Chapter 24- Make Me Understand

When the lawyer was done questioning Treasure he told them he'll get back to them later. Lincoln tried standing up but Treasure wasn't in the mood to let go.

"Its gonna be alright Tress....I know how you feel, someday you just have to let it out." While talking, Lincoln kept staring at Treasure's mother and Ray caught onto it but kept quiet.

"Don't go...if you go it'll come back..." Treasure wanted to break down, she didn't want Lincoln to go. The pain scared her.

In the end Lincoln remained seated beside her until she slept off to Ray's amazement and curiosity.

Lincoln carefully carried her and placed her on a small bed in the cell room before covering her with the sheets. She gripped at his shirt but he skillfully freed himself and stood straight, stretching.

He stared at her briefly in pity before facing her mother.

"Ray could you please leave both of us briefly..."

"No! Am staying right here." Lincoln shifted his gaze onto Ray who was frowning.
