Rory went to the washroom and washed her face. She wrapped up her hair which was already in a high pony tail, exposing her goose-like fair neck, and straightened her dress. She stepped out to the empty and quiet walkway and her fears skyrocketed.

Her steps were slow and hesitant, like she didn't want to go. But she needed to go. Even if it was what she thought, that the boss was going to tell her he didn't trust her, she would try to explain it to him. To let him know it was nothing like they thought of her.

It was so soft she doubted he would be able to hear, but she was surprised when she heard the click sound indicating the door was unlocked. Her heart skipped a beat.
