Spar

It has been a week since Guihu Luixing started to cultivate like a maniac.

He only stopped to get minimal amounts of rest, food and bathroom breaks. It was a very strict training normal kids wouldn't be able to follow.

His training was interrupted by a knock.

"I'm entering."

It was the headmaster. His expression was stern. Even though he was proud his son was so dedicated and focused, but his training was being excessive.

"Luixing, it's a good thing you are training so earnestly. But you should have noticed the problems with constantly training about now, right?"

"Yes." Guihu Luixing answered. "My advancement has become increasingly slow. It's almost as if something is proactively blocking from progressing."

"Hahaha." The headmaster laughed. "It's only natural. It's something all cultivators experience at some point in their lives. It's a bottleneck. In order to loosen a bottleneck, a cultivator needs to experience different things. Combat, an epiphany, consume treasures or even solve their feelings."

"Then what I need is..." Guihu Luixing quickly reached an answer.

"Practice. You have been stuck here in your room refining your abilities, but have not used them once right? Some sparring should do you wonders. You haven't attended classes other then the first one right? I think you'll be surprised at the progress of your classmates."

After saying that, the headmaster left.

Understanding ehat he had to do, Guihu Luixing wastef no time. After freshing up, he made his wqs to the Direct Disciple courtyard.

Everyone was already there, but there was still some time until the second morning bell.

"Brother Guihu, you came!"

Hector was the first to notice him.

"Good morning, brothers, sisters. Yes, it happens that I reached a bottleneck. I need some spars in order to keep advancing."

Smiling, Hector answered "Then you came the right day! Instructor Niko said that today we would spar!"

At this this time the second bell rang and Niko entered the courtyard.

"Good morning, everyone. Oh, young Master, you came today. This makes us a full attendance. Today we are going to check your progress. Everyone here is already at Qi Interaction Realm and can manipulate Qi. From now on simple training won't allow much progress. Battles are the best way to practice."

Saying this he looked towards Guihu Luixing.

"Young Master, I don't know how much your progressed, but I heard you have been cultivating very hard. Why don't you go first?"

Guihu Luixing nodded. "Okay"

He then went to the arena.

"Who wants to spar against him?"

Everyone raised their hands.

"Then let's go in order. Anne, you go first."

"Yes." She answered and went to the arena.

"Then both of you get ready... Start!"

Anne wasted no time and dashed towards Guihu Luixing her arms and legs images were slightly distorted.

Guihu Luixing was observing how she controlled the Qi around her. She was simply Gathering large amounts of Qi around her limbs in order to increase the impact of her moves.

This hower wasn't impressive for Guihu Luixing. Anne was probably somewhere around Entry or Low Phases of the Qi Interaction Realm. This kind of Qi manipulation was too simple.

She threw a palm towards Guihu Luixing. Guihu Luixing answered with a palm with even more Qi.

It was a competition of simple power, and Guihu Luixing vlearly won. The amount of Qi in his palm was much higher thna in hers. But was only natural he could gather more Qi than Anne in a less amount of time. He was already almost at the peak of the Qi Interaction Realm!

The clash blew Anne almost ten meters backwards before she managed to stabilise her footing. She now knew her opponent had a cultivation higher than hers.

"... I've lost."

Realising she had bo chance of winning, Anne gave up.

"Diego Mattos! You're next!" announced Niko.

"I concede. I'm also on the entry level of the Qi Interaction Realm. It won't be a good spar." he quickly gave up.

"Then next. Hector Schmitt!" continued Niko.

"Brother Guihu, please go easy on me." said Hector, giving him a bow.

"Let's give our best, Brother Schmitt." answered Guihu Luixing.

Hector immediately started to gather Qi all around his body. Differently from Anne, his was organised and with a purpose. The Qi around his arms was powerful and heavy, giving Guihu Luixing the impression his puches would be the same as a landslide. His body's Qi however was calm, unmovable and uncaring, like an unmovable steel fortress.

Attribute manifestation. Proof of being at least High Stage Qi Interaction Realm.

Hector clearly managed to breakthrough using the Gravebreaker Method, his control over Gold and Earth Qi was clearly very high. Defeating him won't be simple as gathering Qi and slapping towards him, like he did to Anne.

Guihu Luixing gathered his Qi on his limbs. Differently from his previous fight thought, the Qi wasn't randomly gathered, but rather rotating in his limbs in a compressed manner. From time to time, the distortion would sparkle in multi coloured lights.

Qi compression! Proof of Peak Phase of Qi Interaction Realm.

Seeing his opponent's Qi behaviour, Hector revealed a ferocious smile.

"Hahaha. Brother Guihu really is amazing. I've been practicing with my elder brothers the whole week to be able to reach that level, while you managed to reach it by yourself. I won't hold back then. Hah!"

A change occurred on the Qi surrounding Hector. The Qi around his arms started crompressing. It seemed as if his arms were covered in small clouds of dust. The Qi enveloping his chest also showed changes. When it compressed it felt even harder and one could see his chest gleam like steel.

Hector was also at the Peak Phase of the Qi Interaction Realm!

Even though the Qi Interaction Realm was the first proper cultivation realm, and quite easy to pass through if one had talent, reaching the peak of the realm in one week was a bit too fast. The other children looked at these two as if they were monsters.

"Here I go Brother Schmitt!"

Hector lowered his stance to prepare for the attack.

Guihu Luixing dashed towards him and puched his chest. He wanted to test Hector defenses.

Hector obviously wasn't scared. He let the punch hit him.

Peng.

The sound of a hammer hitting an anvil sounded in the courtyard.

Both sides took three steps behind.

Guihu Luixing was impressed with Hector's defenses. That was an serious attack but his arm was numb with pain, as he had punched a thick, massive steel wall.

Hector was also surprised. He knew just how hard his defences are. Even his elder brother in the Qi Gathering Realm would hurt his hands if he attacked him carelessly.

Seeing his eager expression, Guihu Luixing knew he had lost that exchange. Hector seemed to just be pushed behind, suffering no damages, while he had been pushed behind, with ligh damages to his arm.

And that was just his defences. His attacks should also be just as terrifying.

If he wanted to win, he needed to think how to surpass Hector's defenses, without being hit by the other side's attack.

'What are you going to do now, Young Master. Hector Schmitt has both attack and defense. Even though the Six Senses Method is great in allowing you to control all the elements better, Hector took control of the only two elements he can control to the max.' though Niko while watching the match.
