Safe Place

Maria was a very overprotective girl, back in the good days too, she would never let any girl gawk around Max. The same thing happened this time too.

" That bitch can't stay with us, she is not trustworthy," Maria said while giving a death glare to Elina to which she smiled mischievously. It only made the matter worse.

Both Kyle and Max knew what she was thinking about and facepalmed. Then Max went close to Maria's ear and spoke something god knows what to her.

Maria had a red glow on her cheeks and gave a smug look to the other girls.

"It will be okay now. She agrees" Max said while looking at Maria with a smug look.

"Ok.....I will leave you guys to your things. Going to talk to them now." Kyle said while backing out and going towards Elina's group. It always made him cringe whenever someone got lovey-dovey in front of him.

He reached the girls and approved their teaming. Now it came the time for the important talk.

" Firstly, we don't have any food, and looking here and there, it would seem we will be not getting any 'normal' food," Kyle said to which everyone nodded and felt disgusted whenever they saw the rats.

"Secondly, at some point, we will have to go out as I don't trust this building. It looks like it can collapse anytime. We don't have any proper weapon and it will come a time when some idiot will do something to the building making it collapse." Everyone was shocked at this revelation. Elina became embarrassed for not coming up with it sooner and proud that she took the initiative to form a team at the right time with Kyle's group.

"We need a safe place to stay as it already going to be night." Kyle sad while looking at everyone one by one. He count the basketball team's members and saw that there were only 4 counting Elena with it. He did not ask about it as it was a matter of the future.

"We're near the boy's dormitory, so we can just go there. There are beds too there." Max said to Kyle.

"We will have to first look, you can imagine what will happen to the beds when left untouched for so many years" Kyle stated and they all started walking warily towards the room. They didn't know if the rats were truly gone or not.

While moving towards the room, they saw many other groups going there. One of them was the bullies of the university, they had their whole group with them.

"Ugh.....I hate that bastard" Maria said while looking at the leader of the group with a disdainful face.

They reached the dormitory in a matter of minutes. Kyle and Max warily opened the door of their room finding dust everywhere. There was no rat so they sighed in relief.

They with Elena's group got inside the room and closed it as they did not want any more people with them. All started looking here and there. Kyle opened his cupboard which was surprisingly cleaner than the room. He saw his iron baseball bat which he never used before here with its body severely rusted. It looked kinda badass.

All his stuff looked unrecognizable with all the dust in them.

Elena and her crew with Maria were looking at the bed. Maria proficiently cut the bed from the side which scared the others. They didn't find any type of bug or insect on it which relieved them.

In the end, they all got together and discussed and showed each other what they found, Kyle and Max both had a rusted bat in their hand, and Maria and the girls found a blade and some other useful stuff from under the bed.

Soon night fell, in this situation, many would not be able to sleep, all worried about their loved ones, not with them. But it was not the case with Kyle's group due to the traumatic experience they had just faced a few hours ago.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Max were looking out at the vast expanse of the forest, it was dark, looked dense and it would even be known by an idiot to not go there at night.

"One day or another, we have to go out, we don't have supplies. We may not have many supplies like weapons and all but we can make them on our own" Kyle said with an excited voice.

Max looked at him for a while and said with a smile "You have always been like that, remember when you made a bow and put its arrow on fire before shooting it" Max said with a teasing tone.

Kyle shivered a little when he remembered this memory, he made a lot of problems for his family that day.

"Don't remember that, remember the good memories like when we made a spoon by melting silver," Kyle said with a smug look before being retorted again.

"Yeah right, I remember when you melted mother's silver jewele..."

"OKAY OKAY....! Get back to sleep now. I will watch out for a while then wake you up." Kyle's face was beet red from embarrassment. Maxwell snorted and smiled before going to sleep on some rags they found in the cupboard on the floor. They can't just sleep with the five girls on the bed, right?

Kyle started looking at his status plate to better understand it and then the system plate where all the other options were.

Many of them were locked but Kyle found one which was open- it's name being the SHOP
