He opened the Inventory and it was not what he expected, It had only 10 slots while he thought that he would get inventory with a cubic m space or something which he always read in his favorite manhwas and novels and it disappointed him.
He moved his rusted bat near one of the slots and it disappeared, he could see the image of his bat in the slot.
He clicked on the bat again and it materialized in his hand again which bewilded him. It looked like he was living a fantasy. He then shifted to the shop section.
He saw some basic things in it like food, water, weapons and many more things he didn't understand. He clicked on one of the food icon.

Normal canned food found on earth, it has basic nutrient level and can keep your stomach full for around 4 hours.

'We can have a steady supply of food with this' He sighed but when he saw the cost he became confused. He clicked the term core and he saw its description.

CORE
Cores are the main currency in the zero universe which can be used to increase a person's strength. One can get a core by killing an organism of level above 0 and it is found inside its body.
RED CORE- Found in organisms with level 1 to 50
BLUE CORE- Found in organism with level 50 to 100

There were many more type of cores but it was a matter of future. Kyle saw many types of weapons and their atrocious price. They went from basic types of weapons like bows, sword to some high tech product that felt like were not from human civilization.

It is a weapon mass produced by the Kroxutians of planet Kroxia. They are renowned for making high-tech weapons in the whole Zero Universe. This weapon can easily one-shot kill organisms below level 5.

'What the fuck is up with this price..?, I don't have a single core right now and they are talking of 200?!' He closed the shop and then went towards the door. He looked at Max who was sleeping soundly with his mouth open.
'I should go fast before someone get the information about the cores.' Max opened the door quietly and closed it quickly. He started sneakily going towards the corpses of the rats. He brought the blade that Maria and the other girls found with him along with the bat in his inventory.
When he reached the hallway, he sighed in relief as no one was there beside him. He checked the first rat corpse he found. It looked very disgusting and stinked so he didn't touch it and put the blade in its chest where there was less fur.
He sliced everywhere to find where the fuck was that core until he heard a voice.
"You can't find it by doing that" He heard a male voice from a little far. He looked back and found a boy about 6ft tall with big muscles. He knew who he was, Joey Martin, He was a handsome 16 year old guy who was in Kyle's class. They used to sit 5 seats apart from each other and could be called acquaintance.
"Uhh...You say like you know about it" Kyle said with a small smile. He was not on guard with him because he knew that he was a nice guy.
"I did" Joey said while showing a small red stone in his hand. Kyle's eye shone a little by seeing it.
"You have to get it from their head. It's inside the the centre of it's brain" He said with a disgusted look on his face.
Kyle nodded and peirced the head of the rat with all his might. But the blade got stuck inside. He tried to get it out but was not strong enough.
Joey laughed and said "Your head is strong but you are fucking weak man" While saying he went towards the corpse and crushed the rats head with his feet.
Kyle shivered after seeing it and had a urge to puke. He saw the brain parts all lying around with blood oozing from the crushed skull.
Joey patted Kyle's shoulder and said "You will get used to it" to which Kyle just nodded. Joey went through the skull and found a little glowing red stone. He tossed it to Kyle, he looked at it for a while and then said with a smile filled with gratitude " I owe you, Thanks man"
"Haha...no worries, by the way, you are with Maxwell right?"
" Ya Max and Maria with the basketball team captain and 3 of her members"
"Wow man, you hit a jackpot. I saw when Elena came to you. I am with some of my friends in my room. So, the main question being, are you gonna go outside?" Joey asked witha serious look.
"I was just gonna ask you the same thing, we are planning to explore in the morning. OH...why don't your group join us." Kyle asked Joey as he knew he was going to be a great asset to survive.
"Ya, I was too planning but I will tell you about it in the morning. Meet me in front of the university exit in the morning. Don't be late, I can't even call now." Joey said while sighing to which Kyle nodded in understanding, when they got back, they didn't have there phone anymore.
"We should get these cores before someone else get to know about it." Joey said and they both immediately started.
After an hour, They both had around 30 cores each in their inventory. They found out that they can store same things in bulk within slots. There were many more corpses but they were not that heartless to not let everybody else get them.
Both of them bid farewell and went to their rooms. When Kyle opened the gate, he could only thinks one thing 'Shit'. As he entered, he saw all the gang looking at him. While Elena and the girls were looking at him with concerned look, Max was on the edge of his furiousness and continuously glaring at him. He smacked Kyle's head and said "Where the fuck have you been, we have been waiting for you since 30 minutes dumbshit ?! , I was just going to go look for you"
Kyle massaged his head due to pain and told everything to the gang. They had a astonished look on their face.
