Level up

The whole player community in village 69 were excited by the system alert. Most of them decided to let go of what they were doing and rushed over to the coordinates given by the system where the mini event is.

All players in the field went silent as they looked at the horde of slimes with wide eyes. Some were afraid, some were curious, but undoubtedly most of them were excited to participate in this event.

Immediately, a lot of the players present started sending messages to their friends. This was especially more apparent to players who are in large groups. It was obvious that they were a part of large guilds.

While the others were busy sending messages to others, some also used their inspect skills on the slimes like what Calvin did.

[Slime, 1st grade, Elite]

Level: 3

Health: 300

[Big Slime, 1st grade, Boss]

Level : 5

Health: 1000

Calvin broke out in a cold sweat and gulped nervously while thinking. 'Shit! How can we even kill this things? They have so much health. This is ridiculous! There's even hundreds of slimes guarding around them.'

However before all the players could react, the slimes suddenly started taking action.

They split up and attacked anyone in their sights. 2 to 3 slimes attacked a single player and the 10 elite slimes and big slime attacked from afar by spitting out goo like how the small slimes do. But theirs were far stronger. 1 shot from the big slime can take out a players half of their full hp. Not to mention the other elite slimes as well.

In just a few seconds, more than 10 players have already died and more kept dying as the seconds pass by.

Like a bucket of cold water, all players got out of daze and immediately ran far away. Their previous excitement was replaced by fear as they escaped from the scene.

Calvin also did the same. He didn't dare try and fight as it was a pure suicide. So he chose to ran and forget about the event for now and try again in the future when he's stronger.

While running, Calvin thought, 'Even if all the players chose to raid those slimes together, a lot will still die or in the worst case scenario all of us will die so most likely such a scene is impossible. As for guilds, nothing is needed to be said further. So I think the only way to beat them is for players to get stronger first before going up against those slimes.'

Looking back, Calvin saw those slimes gathering again after a lot of the players escaped from the scene. 'In any case, it looks like they won't disappear anytime soon so its ok to wait. For now, I'll just do my original objective.'

Calvin ran towards the village again to turn in his quest. He also started thinking about things while on his way. It was one of his habits to think things when he's bored.

One of the things he thought is about the Inspect skill. He guessed that he can only see information from someone not more than 5 levels above him since he can see the big slime's status.

Second is about the mini event. He didn't think that because of a few troublesome players, a mini event will pop out of nowhere. He didn't think it was just a coincidence so he also guessed that even players can change the world of Genesis even if the effect is small.

And the last thing is that Genesis is really interesting. The more time he spent inside the game, the more he liked it.

This time, the way towards the village is more peaceful compared to earlier. He didn't encounter any trouble and was able to get to the village safely.

Passing by the village gate, the guards inspected him and once that was done he was let through.

Calvin didn't waste time and goes to the rogue building to turn in his quest. After entering, he saw a lot of players in the building.

He looked around and saw that Marko and the other instructors weren't there. There were other instructors but they were busy so he didn't know where to turn in.

So he goes to Lira, the girl who were helping the players to ask about it.

"Hello miss may I ask for your help?" Calvin asked a bit nervous.

Lira turned towards him with a smile. "Yes of course."

Calvin got a little more comfortable seeing that she was easy to talk to. "Where can I turn in my quests that the instructors gave to us?"

Lira pointed to a counter where there were people seated behind it. It looks exactly like a receptionist area. "You can head over there to turn in your quest."

Calvin smiled politely, "Thank you for the help miss."

Lira smiled back, "Your welcome and have a fun day."

Calvin walked to the reception area. He waited for quite some time as there were some players turning in their quest.

When it was his turn, he easily turned in his quest just by talking to the receptionist and handing in his loot that serves as the proof of his quest completion.

In no time at all he heard an alert from the system and a golden light flashed around him.

[The quest "Start of the Journey" has been completed! You have received the 100 exp and 50 copper coins.]
