Chapter 100 Magic knights exams

A/N: guys I am sick nowadays hence the slow updates.

===========================

"Alright, kids! Goodbye, take care of each other and don't make Sister Lily and Father Orgi about you," Robin again said before he boarded a small carriage and left.

(A/N: his real name is Father Orgi, but it disturbed me so kept writing as Orsi)

"Ahem! These kids aren't that big of a trouble, Now That you are going, I don't have to wake you up early in the morning every day," Robin laughed as Father Orgi immediately turned away after saying his piece.

Father Orsi wasn't really able to convey his words, in simple words, he was just a tsundere, even the little kids knew his inner feelings.

"Don't worry about us Robin, concentrate on your exams and come back as a magic knight " Sister Lily responded.

Robin waved his hands as the carriage started moving, after going ahead for a few days, Robin was dropped in another town, at he has left the forsaken realm.

'I could have just teleported..but it feels more real this way, and it's not like I can't fly off if need be, not to mention that I have not been to the royal capital.'

Robin kept bouncing between different cities as he hunted for the various beasts while he was there, both to keep himself warmed up, and to earn some cash while he was at it.

'I forgot to visit my shop, Nah! Let's do that later, the exams are more important for me, plus I can visit that place anytime I want by myself.'

In the course of these few days, Robin was busy going from one city to another in an effort to map out the whole place so that he can use it to teleport in case of emergencies.

"I have seen most of these cities, I should leave for the royal capital lest I get late," Robin muttered to himself as he quietly ate his food.

Though others didn't take the hint as a group of teenagers approached, Robin was already aware of this as although he is able to suppress his senses to a minimum, but he can still rely on his experience inside the dungeon.

'They are all kids, plus an adult, wonder what they want.' Robin braced himself in case this was another one of those ploys where they get chummy at first and then take all the cash that he has on him before they dump him in some ditch.

"Ahem! I couldn't help but overhear you, my name is Marisa by the way," a girl with blonde hair and green hair with a purple colored grimoire by her side said as she held out her hands.

Robin gave her an inquiring look, sparing a glance at her group before he decided to shake her hand

"Name's Robin,"

"Nice to meet you Robin, as I was saying, I've heard you talking about the Royal capital, judging from your condition, you must be heading there to take the magic knight examinations, Right," Asked Marisa.

Robin nodded with a stiff smile,

"What do ya mean 'judging from your situation?' "

"Yeah," Robin didn't get a chance to speak further as the girl immediately grabbed his hand.

"That's great, how about you join our group, we can leave for the royal capital together, that way, we won't be worried about getting robbed or eaten by the beasts outside."

The words she uttered really confused Robin as he didn't get to meet any of the supposed thieves, not to mention that these were kids from a city and not some village, they could easily afford a carriage with guards.

Though Marisa quickly cleared his doubts as if she could understand what he was confused about.

"Ah! Maybe it's because you haven't been out much, but the thing is that the roads haven't been so safe as of late," Marissa said with a sad expression.

"The ride we booked was killed by the bandits a day ago, we only got the news now."

As Marissa stopped, the only adult from the group also stepped forward, Robin could tell that the guy had some strength as a normal civilian.

He was a fire magician, And a very good one at that according to what Robin was able to feel about him.

"Young man, as you know, the only way for us commoners to rise up the social ladder is to either become extremely rich or become a magic knight, so we must leave before it's too late. I believe that with my help and few others, we will be able to reach the capital safely," The man said as he folded his hands, waiting for Robin to answer.

Robin spared a glance at the other behind the man, beside Marissa, the others didn't have the potential to join any of the magic squads.

"Although I appreciate the gesture, why me?" Robin asked as he took a sip of his juice.

The man seemed to be surprised at the question, before he coughed in embarrassment.

"Well...that...you look rather wealthy and we don't have the money to buy a wagon, everyone has contributed but we are still a few amounts short."

The kids behind him also blushed in embarrassment, though Robin also understood what was happening,

It seems his attire sparked the interest of this group, Robin was already sure that the group meant no harm, he just didn't understand why they contacted him off all the people in this town.

'I guess I can help them, who knows maybe a few of them might really be able to join the squads.'

While Robin was mulling over his decisions, the team of kids and a single guy were looking at him in anticipation, if it weren't for the constant harassment of the monsters and the bandits, they wouldn't have been so miserable.

Now they could only hope to amass enough wealth to buy necessities and reach the royal capital.

Although the clover kingdom looked all good on the outside, it was really rotten on the inside as even now, the bandits would ransack the place now and then.

The town was sure to be destroyed in a few more months if this kept up, it was better to say that even some villages were doing better than this town of theirs.

Not even the magic knights were coming in to help them, and when they do come, the bandits would somehow run and hide.

"Alright, I will chip in, let's go,"

upon hearing Robin's answer the group of kids started celebrating in happiness that they could finally go to the capital.

"Thanks kid! Don't worry, I will make sure that you reach the capital safely," the man patted Robin's shoulder.

Though Robin was concentrating elsewhere, it seems a peeping tom was also listening in on their conversation.

"Likewise," Robin replied, after some wait, everyone finished eating before they left to buy some stuff and a carriage.
