Chapter 139

Robin stood outside the grand building of magic knights headquarters with the two rookies on his left and right.

Noelle was much more composed as she was a noble and still is a noble, Asta on the other hand was over the moon as he looked at the giant buildings around.

Robin was also surprised by the capital when he first came here, but it was all in the past as he dreaded this place the most as he is required to fill and give in paperworks here.

The most difficult work of all is paperwork after all.

"Alright! Let's go in guys," Robin walked as the two followed behind him with their usual routine of cat and mouse.

Though just as he was about to enter, he felt another powerful presence that he knew all too well.

"Oh!" Noelle issued a surprise gasp as she looked at Julius while Robin did his best to make out any connections between the man in front of him and the one being in his memories who is supposed to corrupt his Lily.

'Hmm…. I can't really sense anything like this, since I know the guy I am supposed to look for is supposed to have soul magic and time magic, He checks one box, if I can inject my soulforce in his body I will be able to figure something out.'

Robin quickly rejected the notion as he didn't want to get caught this way.

The magic king of wizard king to be exact led them to a meeting place, where they met up with Klaus and Mimosa along with Yuno who smiled a little when he noticed Tom.

"How is my little brother doing?" Robin asked.

Yuno only replied with a smile, that was enough for Robin to understand.

"Tell me if the nobles give you a hard time, I will make them into cripples," Robin boasted as he patted his chest with the little Asta cheering on from behind.

"Can you not talk about things like that with me around," The wizard king felt conflicted as he himself was like a lapdog of the nobles in a sense.

"Don't listen to him, just tell me if someone bothers you,"

Upon hearing of Robin's remarks, Klaus started his lectures and advised Yuno not to act like his brute of a big brother.

The young rookies gave their report to Julius who listened to the report with interest.

"Can I see the page that appeared on your grimoire," Julius asked with stars in his eyes, Although Robin wanted to stop Yuno from doing something that could potentially give Julius an insight to his magic but stopped midway.

He didn't want to strain the relationship between the magic king and The rookies because of his own grudges and doubts.

So he let Yuno do what he felt was right,

"Oh my! This is a powerful magic and probably the most precious thing inside the dungeon as well."

Julius went on to explain everything he could, it was then that Asta also asked if he could check out what was written on his grimoire as he opened it and shoved the book in the wizard king's face, no doubt causing Klaus a heart attack by doing such.

It only became worse as he pulled out a sword and pointed it at the wizard king,

Julius was all smiles as he observed the weird magic in front of him, according to him, he had never seen such a weird magic.

"I guess all you brothers are a rarity in magic, haha."

"One has a magic that can nullify others' magic, one has a powerful spirit wind magic, and the last one has no magic but is as strong if not more than other knight captains, ahahaha."

The three talked for a while, just when Robin felt that they could leave, he felt the glint of mischievous light in the wizard king's eyes magnify as he invited everyone to join them for the ceremony being held.

"I knew it, nothing good can come out of meeting this guy," Robin felt like a headache was incoming, he had felt the magic signature and powerful auras coming from the headquarters from a mile away and knew that this going to be a headache.

As they made their way across the hallway, Julius smiled as he pushed open the door to the ceremony.

"Let me help you realize what you are aiming for, haha."

'Show off.'

Robin cursed.
