Hero's Odyssey

Hestia stopped stoking the fire, touching the flowers on her stick.

"You are right, yes. I am like Monad in that regard. But I also find myself to be like the sacrificial lamb too, in terms of his purpose as sacrifice and peacemaker."

Ren Jidian was baffled by this. He had come to understand this 'equivalent' thing, but it still always surprised him. Zeus' Roman equivalent was Jupiter, but this was different to that. Zeus and Jupiter were very much the same, just with different names.

This was more similar to saying Zeus' Egyptian equivalent was Amun-Ra, simply because they were both chief gods. But it could also be Horus, the 'lord of the skies'.

It made sense. Monad was a sworn virgin, so was Hestia. They were both providers of light. They were meant to provide comfort, yet at the same time institutions and structure. The structure of a home, the structure of the world.
