Chapter 14: The Treasure

The smell was very pungent, no one wanted to stay next to Germi anymore, Joles created a purification spell, and hit Germin with it, the pungent smell was gone in a flash like it was even not there.

Modez sat there looking at the other, they all drunk the potion except him, he raised the vial into his mouth, and poured it's content into his mouth.

As the potion touched his tongue, a chill run down his spine, he felt very cold instantly his body started to shivel, as the potion entered his body, he could not even move his hands or eyes, he was rigid as a concrete column.

Everyone was looking at him with different emotions, no one knew what was happening, Joles told the whole group to stay put as there is no danger to their leader.

The process went on as Modez stopped shaking from the cold, and started to freeze, it was already the fifteenth minute, but there was no sign of any movement from him.

On the twentieth minute a faint cold breath was seen going out from his mouth, and right after that, the ice that froze him shattered like a glass.

He stayed still, eyes closed for another minute or two, when he opened his eyes a snow pattern was seen on his pupils and disappeared like it was not there.

Everyone was quite as they saw different things today, but what happened to their leader, was a different story today.

As it was never said or written in any tomes or books that this ever occured over a course of millenniums.

Modez stood up, took his spear raised it above his head, he positioned himself in a fighting stance, rotating his spear around him, he made a slash attack a white crescent shaped cold wind gushed out of the attack and hit a tree ten yards from where he was.

He then positioned himself in the throwing stance, he brought his right leg back his right hand holding the spear behind him and his left hand Infront of him when he released the spear a gush of cold air passed between his comrades.

The spear was instantly covered in ice, and hit the tree again the whole tree was covered in ice, like in a snowy day.

Everyone gulped in unison, as it was not good to be so overpowered like their leader, a snowflake fell on Marci as it was swept by the wind he looked at everyone, as it was snowing only at their location.

It was not over yet, as Modez went and took his spear out of the tree, then went back to his squad members, as he placed the tip of his spear to the ground, a cold and soothing air enveloped everyone sitting there.

Joles threw a fire ball spell at the frozen tree and the ice covering it started to melt little by little.

"Mmmm...mhmmh!, so everyone has got something out of this drinking ceremony" Modez joked.

"Dri.. drinking what!, hahahahaha have you heard what he called it everyone?" Germin was laughing his lungs out.

Joles was the first person to wake up from his trance, "what the hell was that!," he asked.

"What do you mean what was that!, everyone has got something out of the potion didn't we?" Modez asked.

"Yes but not like what you have gotten, that kind of power is ... Let's say not in our level, but .... Hoooooooo, let me just come down first but for sure if is not the normal stuff that we see everyday," Joles said.

"It is manifestation for sure, no aura can bring that kind power," he finished.

" I think it is manifestation, as the power of aura does not feel like this, as I have read it is a tingling sensation, but this, it's like the whole body produce the recipes for the magic." Modez said.

Everyone was listening very attentive, to the explanation that Modez was giving, after they all understood no one asked more questions.

Now as we have seen what everyone can do, should we go and finish that lead antelope, I think we might find a core in it, and as you know it can fetch a bit of money in the market, we can even start our own guild.

They all were alarmed, as having a guild meant being recognized by the Kingdom, they all adjusted their forms and prepared their mind for the battle.

Jender and Dorci was sent to scout the area, Jender too the left side, while Dorci too the right side, Jender went from tree to tree and felt as if he could teleport, his speed has drastically increased, and he find it easier to move when he is in the shadows, so he tried again finding that he could move through one to another shadow, it was like moving through portals.

He was more than happy, he was overjoyed,that he nearly missed his focus on the mission he was given.

He stuck instinctively in the shadows just head out, he took was amazed for the feat he could do.

Just ahead of him there was a group of antelopes, they were sorrounding their leader in a defensive posture, the bulky ones were on the front line, while the lesser ones were in the middle.

As time went on he could hear like it was giving birth he jumped through the shadows to the top of the tree and observed the process, the leader was gravely injured, a gush of blood on the side of the belly, it struggled till it finally gave birth, liking it's new calve with sad eyes, even Jender was saddened by the situation.

He turned to the right side and saw Dorci far from the area, but knew that she could see from there, he appeared just five paces from her.

She was surprised but stayed calm, "is it you, how did you get her, prove it is you" she asked despite calming herself she could not understand the situation.

"It's me it's just that potion has so much we didn't know I can move through shadows now, we need to go back and report" He said.

It's either we hurry or we miss the chance to obtain that treasure.
