CHAPTER 22 :CONTRACT GIRLFRIEND 1

She walked at the hall way of the hospital, she could not believe that her mum had hidden such important information from her and now she understood why her mum was coughing heavily that day, she had leukaemia and didn't bother to treat it. She was going to make sure that her mum will get a full treatment but not where sasha and her family would be able to reach her. At the same time her head started hurting , her eyes dizzy as she squatted and soon her mind went blank and she fell unconscious .

The next time she opened her eyes she looked around the room she was in. At first the whole place was blurry and she couldn't make out where she was and she felt pain in her head . She held it with both hands as she sat properly on the bed , she tried getting off the bed when she heard a voice say"dont try to get up,the doctor said you should rest" Mia looked at the person who spoke who turned out to be Ryan , he was standing at the other side of the room.

he poured a glass of water and handed it to her , she took it from him and mouthed a thank you and received a nod from Ryan. As she took a sip , Mia brought her hand to the side of her head as it was still aching "why was her head hurting like that? ". She let out a groan which caught ryan's attention.

He saw how tensed she was at the mall and got curious, normally Ryan would not associate himself with matters that does not concern him but he had his reasons. He had seen her in pain earlier and also fainted that made him wondered if she was sick.

"mum"she whispered as she tried to get up "she's okay, they are preparing for the treatment "Ryan assured "did you make the preparations? " Mia asked Confused.

Ryan did not reply but Mia got her answer "thank you, but you didn't have to, I'll repay you back " it wasn't like Mia wouldn't get her mum treated, she has enough to do that and with Ryan who helped ,she was greatful but would still repay him . She plans in doing that before she focus on sasha.

Being the only one she has ,Mia doesn't take her mum lightly and she would deal with sasha and her family later once she feels that her mum is safe.

The door opened and Mia entered as she slowly closed the door behind her at the same time being careful not disturb the woman who was sleeping peacefully .She slowly walked towards the bed and sat quietly beside her. There was a few seconds of silence before Mia carefully took her hand "I'm angry "she whispered "you didn't tell me that you were sick "she said again . Then her phone rang as she stared at the caller's ID, excusing herself, she walked a few distance away from the room as she answered the call.

"gosh, I've been calling you for a long time now, why weren't you answering me? " hannsh shouted from the other end almost turning Mia deaf in the process "I'm sorry "Mia apologised "why do you sound like that? are you okay? where are you? "hannsh bombarded her with questions as she was worried,something was definitely wrong "just come to the hospital "and with that Mia ended the call.

It wasn't long before hannah came to the hospital. The entire way she kept wondering why Mia was at the hospital and her voice sounded gloomy as if something had happened . She hoped Mia was okay as she got closer to the hospital , mia would surely tell her what happened .

She arrived at the hospital in no time as she quickly paid the driver and rushed inside the hospital building , hoping to find Mia as she soonas possible. She later saw her saw Mia sitting on a bench and she rushed towards her "Mia , what happened? "hannah worriedly asked and Mia gave a smile , glad to see that hannah was there "let's talk somewhere else "Mia said , giving reassuring smile. The duo went outside the hospital to talk as they went to a coffee shop that was not too far from the hospital .On the way Mia summarised the whole story and about her mum being sick.

Now in front of the shop sasha asked "so , why are you going to do?Hannah knows that Mia can do anything at this moment sasha has crossed her limit "I'll find my way " Mia replied. At this time there was no traces of Mia tears, she had her own plans but doesn't want to make a careless mistake. She can't lie to hannah as the latter knows her well to know she has something in mind .

Night came ,Mia opened the door of her house and went inside, she reached out to switch on the light as the room was dark, taking in deep breaths as she had a long day , she closed the door and went into her room to have her bath.

Taking off her clothes, she entired the bathtub that was already filled with water and soap. She immersed herself in the bath, allowing the cold soapy water to rest on her skin as she closed her eyes. She felt all her nerves relax as she rested in the cold bath. "tomorrow is a new day " .Mia didn't know why, but she felt that something might happen the next day but she hoped it was a good thing.

It was extremely late when Ryan got to the mansion, Lucy and Jason had already fallen asleep , that he is aware of but wasn't sure of his grandpa. He had intentionally came home late to avoid his grandfather, but just like him the latter was also stubborn. He went straight to his study where he opened the door to find his grandfather inside and he was sitting on the couch that was there .

Now he was at all surprised by what he is seeing. Even at his old age , he still has energy to wake up till late, Ryan was starting to wish he had come later. He let out a sigh as Ryan does not know what to say to his grandfather "shouldn't you be asleep? Ryan questioned "you are not the one to tell me when I should sleep and when I should not" grandpa retorted with raised eyebrow "you're old" Ryan immediately replied then he continued "don't get yourself worked up" He could understand why his grandfather was like that but at the same time he want to be forced into anything.

Standing up, grandpa walked closer to Ryan as he reduced the distance between them "if you don't do what I asked you to, let alone a girlfriend, I'll make sure to get you married " he left the room leaving Ryan to stare at the closed door. He walked towards the desk to sit down as he threw his head back .He took out his phone and stared at the number, he had gotten Mia 's number a while ago for a reason.

He then dialed mark's number as he spoke something to him on he phone, "get it done" he ordered and he soon left the study to go to his room
