CHAPTER 108: WAKE UP PLEASE

Hannah had decided to accompany Jason but on Jason's insistence to stay in the car and not get out. The woman watched through the window as she was the fight that took place. The sound of gunshots filled the air and she had prayed in her mind that mia was alright.

She wanted to go out to help her friend but as a precaution, Jason had someone watch her while he went inside the building. Soon he came out with someone in his arms and it took only a second fir her to realize that that person was mia. Jason opened the door and gently placed mia inside and when Hannah called her name ,the woman didn't respond,she had her eyes closed.

Now in the hospital ,mia was in the ICU ,Lucy had also arrived with her mum. The young woman couldn't help but feel guilty for everything that happened,she thought everything that was happening happened because of her and maybe things might have been much better if her dad wasn't the mastermind of all this. She silently wiped her tears away,this was not supposed to happen, everything was going fine until this occurred.

Ryan,just a few minutes arrived at the hospital having driven with speed before coming here. When he arrived he sat there but everyone else there knew he was lacking the patient to wait and could tell the man would snap anytime soon but was trying to control himself. There was small drops of blood on his clothes and his knuckles were injured.

No body said anything the tension continued to increase with each and every second,Ryan thought of everything they've both been through, everything they've had to endured. In his case , simply being rich and having everything doesn't mean the person is happy,mia had come into his life and had changed something within him,he wouldn't take it lightly if anything were to happen to her or if she leaves this world.

In that moment,Ryan started wondering if he should have killed the man himself and even if he wanted to it was already too late as the man had already died.

Soon mia was pulled out of the ICU on a stretcher as they transferred her to a VIP world thanks to Ryan. He wanted them to give her the best treatment so she would quickly recover. Now be stood beside her on the bed,she looked peaceful with her breathing soft and he could hear the occasional beeping of the monitor.

The doctor had said there's a probability she might have slipped into a coma and would probably wake up a few days but even he knew what a coma is and he wanted her to wake up as soon as possible,they still have a future to make together. Leaning in to kiss her forehead he whispered "please wake up soon"

Outside the room, Jason who was busy talking to Hannah paused to notice Lucy sitting in one of the benches alone,her mum had gone home insisting they leave the city and even though Lucy felt guilty and didn't want to face anybody she wanted to see mia. Hannah already knowing what Jason was thinking,nodded for him to go on.

"are you alright?'he asked just to get her attention "do I look alright?" the woman asked back with her voice cracking at the end. What happened to her father has already reached her ears and it was one of the reasons why her mum left. No matter what happened he was still the elder woman husband and her father but would it be right to say she barely felt anything about his death?. Everything happened so fast that one couldn't process that quickly,mia was still laying in the hospital bed unconscious and it was all because of her father.

Jason sighed "what happened to her wasn't your fault,you didn't do anything..."but he was Interrupted by Lucy who stated "but I took her there if I hadn't told him I was going to the movies with her non of this would have happened"

"even if you didn't tell him about her whereabouts,it was still bound to happen,he has been keeping tabs on all of us for a long time so whatever happens don't blame yourself,you have nothing to do with it" the duo always had something to argue about but they were always there for each other whenever the other needed it and it wouldn't change in this situation.

Lucy wiped the tears that escaped from her eyes then asked again "what if brother hates me?"

"he doesn't" in that moment they saw Ryan coming their way and Hannah didn't waste anytime in going to check on her friend. Lucy immediately approached him and said "I'm sorry". Ryan gave a smile that didn't reach his eyes, until now he hadn't said anything to her and it made the woman think he was upset with her but that wasn't the case.

The man said "none of this is your fault Lucy,I'm not upset". On hearing this,she hugged him as more tears fell from her eyes. She was glad no one blamed her and even if they did,she would do anything just to get their forgiveness.

They heard rapid footsteps coming their way and soon Lily came into view,she immediately approached Ryan and asked ,"where is she?"

"I'm the room"came his shirt reply. He had made sure not to call her when mia was still in the emergency room so she wouldn't be panicked and had only called her recently. Mia was her only daughter and one thing the woman didn't want was loosing her right before her eyes.

Two days passed and mia still hadn't woken up,she was fragile and had lost too much blood, having had an injury on her head before with her brain on the line,it only made the situation worse. Ryan had arranged for her to be moved to his mansion and right now it was late in the night, almost midnight and as usual ryan occupied himself with work.

He was covering up for her absence in the company while working in his own. Even at thau moment he kept wondering when or if she would be awake but to get his mind off it,he kept working. An hour passed and Ryan came out of his own room to go to Mia's room where she now slept. He approached her bed and sat on the space beside her.

Even though she was right here with him,he still misses her,he wanted to see her smile again and hear her joyful voice,he wanted to hold her in his arms and still her away where no one else but him would be able to see her. Ryan urged to kiss her , telling her how much he had missed her,she was one person that had reduced the pain he felt as a child and he didn't want to feel any pain by not having her by his side.

When he turned to leave,he didn't notice but her finger gently moved and her brows furrowed as if she was trying to wake up.
