“It smells amazing,” I grin as I watch Ava stir the pot of pasta mixture on the stove. “It feels nice to be wined and dined.”


“Don’t get used to it,” Ava retorts with a smile as she looks over her shoulder. “This won’t be a regular occurrence. I’m only doing it because you’re hooking up with Gray Wilder and anyone who has the opportunity to do that deserves a nice meal.”


I burst out laughing and shake my head. “How long are you going to bring that up for?”


“For as long as you’re still seeing him, I will continue to bring it up,” Ava states proudly. “And constantly remind you how insanely jealous I am.”


A warm blush brightens my cheeks and I chew on my bottom lip. “I know this is a lot for you to take in with Gray being your celebrity crush, but I appreciate how understanding you are of the situation.”
