The world stops. Everything is moving in slow motion. What is happening? The sound of the harsh thud was inches from my head moments ago and, in a flash, I see Felix’s eyes roll in the back of his head and he begins to fall to the ground. He starts collapsing into me, and I try desperately to catch him.


As I hook my arms under Felix’s body to try and catch him, I am grabbed by my arm and yanked away from my boyfriend who is quickly losing consciousness. Nothing makes sense. What is going on? Who is doing this? What could they possibly want? Was it Felix they were after? Or was it me?
