One week later, as I was in the midst of eating, I began reviewing what me and my budding group had accomplished in the past week.
Once I get this meal down, I can return to the endless grind and keep progressing towards my goals... I suppose I could take a day off, seeing how I've been going nonstop and gotten a shit ton done over this last week, but honestly why bother doing that when I'm enjoying the process... Yeah, I'll take a hard pass on taking a break. I can enjoy the fruits of my labor after I turned this shithole of a wasteland into something civilized.
Having settled that, let me take a quick look back on what I and my companions have achieved in these 7 days. As for where I should start off, I guess I'll go with my robots first. So those busy guys of mine have finished scrapping every single last vehicle in the front parking lot, meaning I no longer have any resources coming in to replace the ones that are constantly being used by the various manufacturing machines and construction projects I have going on.
Thankfully, it's not the end of the world, so I just reassigned the Worker Bots from that completed task to scrapping the many vehicles in the surrounding areas. And due to the nature of their new job, I sent them off with additional helpers in the way of many more Worker Bots and several Hualing Bots for transporting the materials back to the facility.
Aside from that, I also assigned a sizable escort to them that consisted of several Sentry Bots and Power Armor Compatible Assaultrons armed to the teeth with belts of MFC Grenades and a combination of heavy and long-range weaponry. All of that will ensure the increasing amount of resources and materials they're harvesting each day make it back here without issue.
And to really ensure nothing goes awry, I had one of the Power Armor Compatible Assaultrons take a Fat Man mininuke launcher with a few mini nukes just in case they encountered a Super Mutant Behemoth or something else just as dangerous. There isn't much that can tank a round from one of those… At least of the creatures and entities I'm aware of so they should be good.
...
Moving on to other projects, my robots and I finished the production of the arc furnaces and arc kilns on the third of September, so we're now ready to begin processing ores and limestone. Hopefully, we'll be starting that soon enough. It's not great being almost entirely reliant upon scrapping burned out rusted wrecks. Therefore, the sooner we can branch out, the better.
Not long after the completion of that, the last of the power plants were fully converted, freeing up a ton of workforce. All of which were assigned to tunneling and mining for the purpose of linking up with the group that were slowly but surely making their way here from the metro, and to help out my robots that were reaching ever nearer to the resources that lay in the earth below.
Hmm, while I'm on the topic of mining, I suppose I should cover that too. My robotic men that were digging for resources finally hit limestone the other day. Hence, a portion of them have been busy mining, hauling, and processing what they pull out of the ground in the arc kilns into lime. While the rest of the group continues expanding deeper and closer to the resource deposits that lay further below. So by the time we finally hit the ore veins beneath, I should have quite a large stockpile of lime built up for ore refining and concrete mix.
Additionally, when my guys first began producing lime, I transferred a number of my recently produced Worker Bots to begin construction of some industrial-sized mixers. We weren't going to be pouring anything for the third underground level without them, thus it was imperative that they be built as soon as possible.
Good thing my workers were both fast and efficient, so they managed to have it handled by the fifth of the month. And once the boys finished that project, I had them initiate construction of the third underground level in preparation for the incoming metro rail expansion.
Other than those tasks and projects coming to fruition, I added eight more Automated Capacitor Manufacturing Machines to my litany of autonomous manufacturing machines, further increasing my total capacitor manufacturing capacity all the way to 1,000,000 a day. Oh, and I also got done optimizing and making those upgrades to my robot manufacturing machines I'd been meaning to do yesterday, thereby doubling my robot production capacity.
That will certainly increase my progress quite substantially in the coming days.
The next project that was finished in this period was an Automated Bottle Cap Manufacturing Machine with a manufacturing output of 1,000,000 bottle caps per day. The completion of that machine has now given me a reliable and plentiful supply of currency that I can convert into gold and silver whenever I'm in need of it. Which is a constant situation I find myself in, since a number of manufacturing processes require those two valuable and sought after metals.
I can also look forward to the rise in value of both of those metals as civilization is restored here on earth too. Not to mention it'll help bring me closer to completing that unreasonable Such Wealth quest I'm sitting on. But even if that isn't enough to fulfill the objective, surely those Zetan motherships will when I get my hands on them...
As for the final project, my group and I managed to produce one of my new robot designs I'd been cooking up and man was the new model, an absolute unit.
| Goliath |
Carry Capacity: 10,000
Power: Fusion Breeder
Value: 1,500,000
Robot Description: The Goliath is a towering, heavily armored and armed jet black bipedal robot. This monstrosity comes equipped with heavy armaments that consist of two armored crushing hands that each possess their own built in plasma flamers integrated into the palms. As fearsome as those weapons are, they aren't anything when compared to its primaries, which are a 6-barreled gatling laser and a 6-tube 40mm grenade launcher.
On top of those weapons, it also has a head laser similar to the RobCo Assaultron minus the charging and heating issues of that particular model, two hive missile pods integrated into its shoulders, and two shoulder-mounted laser turrets with advanced targeting systems that will shoot down incoming explosives. And when it's not having to deal with any incoming explosives, they will fulfill their other role and turn their attention to whatever hostile forces it is facing to push out even more damage. The two laser turrets can also fulfill the role of the robot's eyes if the head of the robot is disabled or destroyed.
This robot is powered by fusion breeder technology and features a whole host of imaging and targeting upgrades compared to most other robots in the wasteland. The servos are also specially designed to handle its considerable crushing weight of 10 tons at significant speeds of 30 miles per hour, thereby making it a highly mobile and extremely dangerous threat. Adding onto that, the robot's feet have been designed in such a way that they can be quickly deployed to stabilize the robot and prevent it from falling over. As a side effect of that feature being added, the Goliath can use its feet to crush whatever is within their grasp if its weight hasn't already done the job. Designed by Harold Todd Woods.

In addition to all of that shit being accomplished, I spent nearly the entirety of Friday moving basically all of the VSS Facility's loot over to the former RobCo Facility, otherwise known as my new home out here in the wastes. I should really come up with a name for this place since it doesn't really make much sense to continue calling this place by its original name... Maybe some other time.
So with all of that loot moved over, we now have a ton more firepower on hand and should be more than capable of handling most conventional threats that could be thrown at this facility like super mutant attacks, for instance. Which we haven't had the joy of experiencing up to this point, sadly, so no extra exp for me. Where are Fallout 4's settlement attacks when you need them.
Expanding further on that, with the VSS Facility's loot moved over, I can now start trying to complete the Anchorage Simulation quest via the Virtual Simulation Pods I brought over. However, they still need to get set up on the first level of the basement, along with their associated machinery.
Besides that, I've been hitting the gym hard and utilizing my training room every day, both of which have netted me decent gains in my strength, perception, endurance, and agility S.P.E.C.I.A.L.s as well as several of my skills. Continuing on with the stats, my robots also acquired a good amount of exp for me from the creatures they dispatched whilst they were out and about scrapping the various rusted vehicles of the capital wasteland.
| Creatures Killed & EXP Gained |
5 Albino Radscorpion 11,200 exp, 1 Deathclaw 1,600 exp, 14 Giant Radscorpions 8,064 exp, 3 Giant Soldier Ants 960 exp, 17 Giant Worker Ants 2,720 exp, 21 Molerats 1,344 exp, 49 Radscorpions 7,840 exp, 1 Yao Guai 1,120 exp
I think that about covers all that happened this past week, the only other thing of note besides those projects and tasks being completed and the progress I've made with increasing my stats, is that I took a trip back to Vault 101 with Amata to visit both of our dads and trade some of the gold and silver I made with my perk Currency Maker.
We also used the opportunity to grab other kinds of food that weren't shelf stable high-protein meals to stock up the dining area and our newly constructed kitchen, that just finished construction along with the renovation of the rest of our living space. One can only survive on MREs for so long before you get sick of them.
In addition to the increase in meal variety, our ghoul friends have integrated nicely into their new living arrangements and appear to be enjoying their much improved lives here from what I can tell.
Having finished my little progress overview for what transpired in this last week, I continued eating my incredibly early breakfast for the next several minutes and eventually scarfed down the rest of it. The minute I was done, I got up and made my way downstairs to get my daily training and workout out of the way.
...
Following several hours of hard strenuous training and working out later, I exerted myself enough, so I called it there and proceeded to the men's locker room. The one I had my robots construct over this past week and hopped into one of the showers to rinse and cool myself off from my intense training and workout session.
Shortly after that, I hopped out, got changed into a different set of clothes that I had stashed in my designated locker, and journeyed back upstairs via the elevator to my and Amata's room to wake her up. When the elevator arrived at the top floor, I strode out of it and sped off to our room and woke her up.
"Morning, sleepyhead."
"Good morning, handsome."
"How'd you sleep?"
"I slept pretty well. What about you?" Amata responded, still under the covers, with only her head poking out.
"Same old, same old."
Chatting with her for a few minutes longer, I mushed her into the bathroom to get cleaned up.
As I waited for her to come out, I used Mechu-deru and took control of the robots and turrets that were produced while I was sleeping and busy working out this morning. Not too long after expanding my control, she came out of the bathroom now freshened up.
Following a bit of playing around, I decided I was going to prepare breakfast for the two of us in our recently added kitchen. However, before I could even begin, Amata decided otherwise and took on the task of cooking breakfast. If she wanted to make me a meal, you weren't going to catch me complaining, so I left her to it and took a seat at the counter nearby and kicked back whilst she made breakfast for the two of us.
While I was chilling out at the counter, I sent my robots a command to set up the Virtual Simulation Pods on the first level of the basement, along with its associated equipment and machinery. So I can get the Anchorage Simulation quest done sometime soon and have everyone start using them to train their combat skills.
Ten minutes after giving my robots another task to do, Amata finished cooking up a sizable breakfast. And just as I was about to get up to assist her, she urged me to remain seated while she brought everything over. So, being the smart guy that I was, I did as I was told and waited patiently as she set the dishes she prepared on the counter I was seated at.
When she sat the last of the dishes she whipped up on the counter, she took the seat directly next to me and once she did; she made my plate for me just the way I like it before locking her eyes on me, waiting for me to take a bite. Thus, with a whole assortment of very tasty-looking plates of food in front of me calling my name, I took my fork and stuck it into the scrambled eggs, and put the fork full of lightly seasoned eggs into my mouth.
If this weren't the fucked up wasteland, I don't doubt she would've been a phenomenal chef or at least ran her very own successful restaurant or chain of them.
"Your cooking is phenomenal as always, beautiful." I complimented her cooking, which resulted in a toothy smile making its way onto her face.
From there, she and I bantered and made some small talk while we waited for the food to cool off a slight bit. When it was at a temperature that wouldn't burn her mouth, we dug in and devoured the scrumptious breakfast she cooked up for the two of us. We eventually finished the food she made and as soon as we did, we continued our small talk from before, and after a couple of minutes of doing so, we arrived at the topic of what we were going to be doing today.
"So, what's the plan for today?" Amata inquired.
"Well, I already got my main training and workout in for the day, so I'll be working in my workshop getting those new weapon designs I came up with not that long ago crafted. As for how long that'll take me, I should be able to get all the parts made and assembled by lunchtime, I'm guessing."
"What do you plan on doing today, Amata?"
"There isn't really anything for me to do right now, since your robots are basically handling everything. So I'll just follow you to your workshop and give you a hand, just like we used to do back at Vault 101 before you left the vault and ventured off into the wasteland." She answered, sounding quite happy and pleased because we were returning to what we were doing previously at Vault 101, which was spending most of our time together.
"Hmm, I suppose I'll have my partner in crime again for the foreseeable future." I responded jokingly.
"That you will." Amata responded joyfully whilst leaning against my side.
Following our relatively short conversation, I had my new Worker Bot nicknamed Mr. Clean pick up all the dirty dishes, pans, and utensils and put them in the dishwasher to be cleaned, while I proceeded downstairs to the manufacturing area with Amata latched onto my right arm ready to get to work on making those new weapons designs. A short elevator ride and walk later and we arrived at my workshop in the manufacturing area, where I immediately got busy fabricating the new weapons I designed a short while ago.

This is pretty much it Fallout for right now. It'll get more releases either after I'm done stocking up on chapters for my Borderlands fic or if it ends up winning the monthly Patreon poll.
Shameless plug, I have a Patreon you can read ahead and support my work on. It gives you access to every chapter I have written across all my works, including those I've yet to release, and the ability to vote in monthly polls that will determine what I'll be working on for a portion of that month.
If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, you can find the link for it in webnovel's description, in my bio, and on the discord server. Also, I run chapter announcements through the discord, so if you want to know when the next chapter is out, you can find out there.
Up to date on Fallout Wastelander? Looking for something else to read? Then go check out my other work, Wasteland Conqueror, it's pretty similar to this.
