Chapter 31: Improvement

The sun had started to rise again, and Feng who was sleeping for the first time in a long while was forced to wake up, he felt a bit weak but blamed it on the fact that he might have over stressed himself the previous day while training. He walked towards Chen and the rest who were still fast asleep in the tent and forced them to wake up, he had a lot of activities planned for them, he felt that after the moment of freedom they had the previous day they should have been able to sort out whatever issues they had that might have been causing their ability to control their chakra to be bottlenecked.

Chen managed to get up and streched his arms, he was still feeling groggy and was trying to get his bearings, he walked out of the tent and proceeded towards the pond to wash his face and get some water to drink, he had already understood what his problem was regarding his in ability to understand chakra control for the past few days, and he was confindent that he would be able to grasp the principle when they began with the training.

As usual the day started off with them trying to meditate and practice their breathing techniques, they all closed their eyes and maintained a countenance of seriousness. Anyone in close proximity to them would be able to feel a qualitiative change in the density of the air surrounding the group, Feng was impressed by the sudden change and determination in them.

When they were done with the morning meditation and breathing exercise, Feng led them towards the hills, this time he made them run towards it rather than walk, no one asked to eat this time since they were more obsessed about improving on their previous results.

"So Klaus I heard you killed a large bird yesterday" chen looked towards Klaus while asking

"Those guy could never keep their mouths shut, yes I did kill a beast yesterday but it attacked me first and I had to save my skin" Klaus replied

"Gair, but are you sure that is really the reason or that in truth you just needed something to vent your anger on" Chen asked

"You are asking a lot of questions this morning, well you might be right I did it to vent my anger but at the end I didn't feel fulfilled, it just ended up feeling like a shallow victory but I don't regret it. That was a moment of clarity for me, it made me understand some certain things" Klaus said

"Do you mind sharing that with me, it might probably help me with my own growth" Chen said

"I do mind, I suggest you find your own path yourself" Klaus said with finality before jogging ahead of Chen

"What a weird guy" Chen said and kept jogging towards the hills.

They eventually arrived at the hills and saw that there were boulders of different sizes neatly arranged according to their sizes.

"While you guys were doing whatever t is you were doing yesterday, I was here getting this location ready for your training." Feng said

"Thanks but you were the one who asked us to discover ourselves. You said that there'd be no training yesterday" Bryan replied

"I know smart ass, I was trying to pass a point but I guess it flew over your heads. Before anything else I would need you guys to assume the position I showed you the previous time we did this, remember it isn't any much different than the meditations we do every morning" Feng instructed

Every one sat down and focused their breathing and blood flow, eventually it started to look like everyone was beginning to get a hang of it, Chen concentrated but couldn't help showing off a smile on his face, he had finally grasped the concept and had understood how it worked. He used his mind eye to focus on the red orb spinning and twisting gradually in his abdominal area very close to his spine.

He got his inspiration the previous day, he discovered that after clearing his mind and blocking off the whatever sounds were in his surroundings, he gained perfect clarity. It began to seem like he was looking at things with a higher resolution, it seemed to him like feng's plan was genius after all. Chen envisioned the red orb in his abdomen and took some of his Oxygenated blood and began circulating it around his core. Gradually he felt his strength increasing spoatenously. He soon received a notification from the system but decided to ignore it and keep his focus.

A few hours later Feng decided to end the training and move on to something else, he instructed them to move the boulders to and fro the hill, to see how much they had improved. He also advised them to keep practicing their breathing techniques while they moved as this move would help the accomplish their task in far lesser time.

Klaus felt his body brimming with energy, it took him less than an hour to move the boulders to and from with breaking a single sweat. He was excited about his new development, Feng instructed them to move the boulders a few more times. After that he allowed them a few minutes to rest before commencing with the next training phase.

"I actually don't feel sore this time" Bryan said

"If this is what the first stage of chakra control looks like I wonder what those who have an understanding of the other stages can do" Victor said

"Let's calm down mow, we haven't even understood and completely grapsed the whole principle behind this, I feel like we haven't even scratched the surface" Klaus cautioned

Feng eventually returned and instructed everyone to lift the smaller boulder onto their backs and lifdmt run with the boulders to and fro the hill till they began to collapse from exhaustion.

Everyone carried on with this for a few hours after a while their speed could be seen to reduce and eventually only Klaus and Chen were left running sluggishly to and fro the hill. Eventually Feng clapped his hands and called for the end of the training session. He motioned for Klaus and Chen to remain behind
