Chapter 7: Leaked ***tape (part 4)

~Back at Swan High~

The siren rang ..signalling everyone to return to their respective classrooms cause there was chaos everywhere....and all that could be heard out of it was 'Yuvora and Nathan's video'....so principal Bradshad instructed one of the teachers to ring the siren to try and get order in the place .

Meanwhile outside the school ..

"see you later Mum " said Melanie before closing the door to the car behind her and dashing to the stair case leading to the school's main door . As she was going up the stairs ,beside her , she noticed someone walking , wearing a huge black hoody over them ...

As if noticing someone staring at them..the person quickened their pace aiming to get inside school before her but as soon as the person passed by her ..maybe due to the wind around the place ..the person's perfume blew right towards her and that's she realised that it was Nathan who was in the hoody all along , judging by the smell of the perfume. Hearing that he was rushed to hospital yesterday, Melanie ran right behind him aiming to ask him how he was doing, thus her managing to catch up to him before she called out "Nathan!" .Hearing his name , he subconsciously turned around and saw the very person he was wishing not to see right infront of him and he couldn't do anything about it but just stand there like some statue.., noticing him stop, Mel ran right towards him and immediately gave him a hug on reaching him , causing to Nathan to freeze right there 'wait she isn't mad?' he thought to himself and that's when Melanie pulled away and stared right at him before she spoke

" I heard you were taken to the hospital yesterday , how are you feeling now n' most importantly...what happened?" she asked , two questions at once causing Nathan to gulp ..why did this feel like him going to explain something to his mum after messing up..he sighed deeply before he spoke" I'm fine and about yesterday..I simply wasn't feeling okay ..but am fine now so there's nothing to worry about "

"Pheww! thank heavens , I was worried about you the whole night " she uttered causing Nathan to raise his brows in an 'oh!.. really? ' like expression , noticing what she just said Mel immediately changed her words "am sorry I meant, I was hoping that u'd be alright " she uttered causing Nathan's expression to somehow dullen (i'on know if that's a word).

Sensing awkwardness in the atmosphere , Melanie spoke again" uhmm...see you around Nathan..have a nice day..bye! " before she dashed inside the school doors..

Knowing she hadn't yet watched the video , Nathan could only hope for the worst.

Reaching class , Mel thanked the gods that the teacher hadn't yet arrived but as she made her way to her seat , she noticed something was off about the class today...everyone was staring at her like she had done something extremely wrong , not until Bianca Hills , one of the mean girls in her class spoke " That's what a boyfriend snatcher like her gets for wanting to ruin Swan High's power couple " and then other whispers and mummers followed.

" She thought Nathan would choose her over Yuvora"

"who the fuck did she think she was trying to compete with the Queen "

"Nathan would never date a nerd like her"

" That's what she gets for trying to seduce Yuvora's man"

"I wonder what her reaction was , watching the video , I bet she cried herself to sleep yesterday "

All this bad energy was suddenly thrown at her that Melanie didn't know what to even think at the moment she just stood there looking at various people whisper to their friends knowing very well she could hear all of them ...That was until Kelsie came and helped her to her seat . Melanie sat down and simply looked at Kelsie with a 'what's going on?' facial expression , she was too confused of the whole situation to even speak.

Sighing deeply , Kelsie took out her phone,searched the video up, pressed mute and then handed it over to Melanie to watch .

Melanie took the phone and on pressing play , she stilled as she continued to watch the video, Kelsie watched her bestie keep on watching the entire thing and simply rubbed her back to try and soothe her . The video ended but Melanie still held the phone in her hands , she closed her eyes and smiled , one can call it (smiled in pain) as a tear dropped from her left eye , she wipped it off , opened her eyes and gave Kelsie the phone , still, while smiling and looked infront. Kelsie couldn't help but feel bad for her bestie , gad knows how much she liked this boy only for this to happen.. 'no!' she thought to herself, her friend needed someone better not him.

But as Kelsie was going to say something to her friend, the teacher came in.. causing her to hold in whatever she was going to say.

When the bell rang for the lunch break, Melanie picked up her bag , went on straight to the professor who had just finished his lesson and told him she wasn't feeling fine and was seeking permission to go home for the day , being on his most brilliant science students, professor Diel gave her a passout and granted her permission to leave and with that, she walked straight to the door and left not even waiting for Kelsie or anyone to ask her 'where to'...

Kelsie came back from art class and saw Melanie's seat empty , she asked around and someone told her she saw Melanie leave school. She sighed and simply took a seat , she then reached out for her phone and texted Mel;

' Call me if you need to talk aight!..Lol Kelsie'

Before she put her phone down and waited for the next lesson.
