23. Completing What He Started. [2]

'Being close to the destination yet giving up before reaching it, will only remain a petty excuse.'

This echoed inside Neel's mind.

As if the being in front of him had been watching him since his existence and as if it could see through his entire being, Neel felt naked in front of the being.

From his childhood, he was determined to get whatever he felt like he wanted.

He won every contest he partook in. He never felt challenged. He always felt out of the place.

Because of this, after some time he stopped participating altogether.

And even if he took part on a whim, he would give excuses for not winning it.

He started giving up.

And this challenge turn that lazed Neel's entire existence upside down.

It helped him to work to the bone, what he had always desired for.

This challenge made him feel his life was… meaningful.

He no longer lingered in past nor cared about the world. His entire focus was on completing the challenge and nothing else.

Even the thoughts of interrogating Lucy and date with Amanda were completely out of his sight.

All he truly cared about was his goal, which gave him something…

A satisfaction.

Like those cultivation novels, where the protagonist finds an opponent/rival and says.

'Our battle will be legendary.'

And the fight gives both of them… satisfaction.

That was what Neel has been in search of his entire life.

And this challenge was something that the first time in life made Neel feel that satisfaction.

The words of the being made him realize that this is an opportunity to break his stereotype mentality.

And when he understood the meaning behind the being's words he realized something.

And that was… he was once again close to his destination.

All he needed was to rise and complete the goal.

His eyes burned with determination once again.

And he only said:

"I understand."

And the next moment he was sucked out of the darkness.

****

"Ugh…"

Neel felt the world around him spinning.

"Brghwa…"

The next second he puked. But this time there was a difference and it was blood that gushed through his mouth.

After looking at his current state Neel decided to change the approach to complete the challenge.

"Log off"

He mumbled with all the strength he could gather.

He had not spoken with anyone and because of that muscles inside his mouth were unused for a long time.

Immediately after logging off, he heard a small cry.

"Young master."

Lucy's voice was filled with worry. She didn't understand why his body jerked when he logged off. This was the first time this happened, but her questions were immediately answered by a

"Brghwa…"

This time Neel puked blood on Earth.

Looking at his condition Lucy did not waste time and picked Neel from the bed who was still puking blood and took him inside the bathroom.

After he was no longer able to puke blood, Lucy took him to her room and waited till he fell asleep.

Lucy did not waste time and started to clean Neel's room.

She no longer cared about anything except for two things.

First, to take care of her young master and secondly to hunt down the person who was responsible for all this.

Unbeknownst to the maid's thoughts Neel woke up from his stupor and tried to move his body.

He felt that his sensitivity was, much higher than it was previously. But he didn't care.

All that he cared about right now was to complete his task, nothing more nothing less.

He didn't even care about the yoga mat as he started to do Surya Namaskar once again.

At first, his body did not cooperate, but he didn't care.

The reason for this was not moving his body for an entire week or so. And secondly his increased sensitivity.

But it did not last long.

As if nothing happened, Neel continued to work.

These last few hundred Surya Namskar were completely different from the previous ninety-nine thousand as these were not reckless.

There was a profound rhythm but at the same time, there was a specific muscle movement for each form.

For example, in the first form where you have to raise your hands while palms are joined together and bend backward as much as possible.

The only muscles above the waist moved. Not even a single muscle below his waist moved.

This is followed by the second form where you have to touch the ground with your palms and touch your head to the knees without bending the knees.

Not even a single muscle moved except for those that were necessary.

In the sixth form where your entire body except for your toes should stretch and you should look towards the sky, his toes did not move even a bit.

As if he was stuck to the place, his body only moved in that limited space. Even imprinting his foot marks.

Even a master of yoga would mistake his movements to be that of a machine and think of them as mechanical movements.

Accuracy, precision, and perfection can only be obtained from the sheer practice of that particular thing.

And it was visible that Neel gave his everything to achieve those three things.

At this moment Neel was in a world of his own.

He remembered no one, neither Lucy nor Amanda. Hell, he even forgot the majestic being and the third presence who motivated him not long ago.

All he was able to remember and feel at this moment was the number of forms. He was counting the twelve forms in a rhythm.

1…2…3…12…1

There was a slight pause after he thought of the number and then moved to the next one.

This was the concentration he developed over the last ninety-nine thousand Surya Namaskar.

Right now, he didn't even care about the remaining Surya Namskar completing the task. All he cared about was the satisfaction he was getting after each set of twelve numbers periodically.

This continued for a while.

And suddenly something happened inside his body.

He felt a sudden surge of energy at the same time reduction in the stress he was feeling previously.

Thud-

With a loud thud, his body fell to the ground.

He felt two contrary emotions at the same time.

Satisfaction, for completing the task, and dissatisfaction that his euphoria was taken away from him.

But it didn't last long.

Lucy who saw this breathed a sigh of relief.

Finally, her young master was now out of that hell.

A slight smile appeared on Lucy's face as she saw her young master lying on the floor with a satisfied smile on his face.

As if a beast had a fulfilling feast after his endless hunting, his face had that satisfied smile on his face.
