35. Player Neel has… Died.

"What is this place?"

After using the black box, Neel was sucked into a black space.

Only after a few seconds that felt like an eternity, did Neel start feeling dizzy.

"Ugh…"

He was in teleportation transit. And the very next moment.

"Brghwa…"

He vomited.

"I am never doing this… ever again… brghwa…"

He said while puking.

'This game really hates me!'

Neel thought, as slowly but surely his blurry vision was turning normal.

However, he was mentally not prepared for what happened next.

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

He shouted at top of his lunges.

And thousands of notifications started showing up.

"SIR!!! Sir White!! We need to contact Sir White immediately!!"

Inside the server operating room of 'In-Game Online,' chaos was spread across.

This was the first time a player has died inside the game.

And system went on alert immediately after the player's death.

"Zack, immediately inform this director White!"

Johnny shouted.

"Chill Johnny, why are you in haste? I can't contact the director directly, know?"

Zack said to Johnny.

"It's an emergency Johnny, don't joke around. The system went crazy and notified a player has died."

Johnny replied.

"What? This is something new! But I can only inform Sir Bolt at max. The director is out of my reach."

Zack said as sweat started accumulating on his forehead.

"Fine, but inform it fast. I don't know what to do. This is the first time a player has died, after all."

Johnny snapped at Zack to make him understand the gravity of the situation.

"Understood."

Zack said this and immediately contacted the head office.

***

"Sir Malcolm!"

The officer in charge of the server department called.

"What is it, Mr. Bolt? I am quite busy right now."

Malcolm responded.

"Sir Malcolm, I am sorry to disturb you but it is an emergency from the server and system department."

Bolt apologized and continued.

"There was an alert on the system '[Player number #038PN76JKL named 'Neel' has been disconnected from the system.]' and after several minutes another notification appeared."

Bolt paused.

Seeing this Malcolm frowned.

"What is it Mr. Bolt, spit it out."

Malcolm became impatient.

"[Player Neel has died.]"

***

"I want an immediate appointment with Director White."

Malcolm's voice was domineering; at the same time, his tone wasn't that of a request.

It was an order.

The receptionist understood this.

She immediately informed director White's secretary.

"Sir, director White is waiting for you at his cabin."

The receptionist informed.

And without waiting for anything else Malcolm dashed towards White's cabin.

Employs who saw this couldn't help but panic.

'Our Job!!'

This was the only thing they could think of.

The game was quite famous but it was a 'NEW' game.

Rivals always tried to make the situations worse for them, that was their experience.

Unaware of this all, Malcolm entered inside director White's cabin.

"Miss. Camile, it would be best if you excuse us."

Camile, director White's secretary frowned and looked at director White.

She did not like someone else than her boss who orders her.

But that someone was Malcolm, so she did not voice it out and simply looked at her boss, who gave her a brief nod.

After Camile went out, Malcolm looked around to confirm the place was concealed with a sound barrier.

"Ok."

Saying this he neither sat down nor gave any other thought and continued.

"White, we got a problem."

Although his voice was calm, it contained worry.

"That I can see, tell me the problem."

White did not look but he was quite serious.

Malcolm was not someone who would pull rubbish pranks.

And the way he entered and shook out the beautiful lady, he knew something serious has happened.

"A player died."

A deadly silence covered the entire cabin.

"Huh?"

White blurted.

"Before you think any shit, the player has died inside the game."

As if there was a 'connecting' circle rotating in front of his face, White remained silent.

"Did your tongue bite cat? Say something! White!"

Malcolm shouted and said the proverb randomly.

[It should be 'Did the cat bite your tongue?' Thank me later. :) ]

Snapping out of his daze White took a serious posture.

"Fuck…"

This was the only word left out of his mouth.

Indeed.

They were fucked.

"This is the first one…"

Malcolm calmly said.

"Before this news spreads like a wildfire we need to take action."

Malcolm continued.

"And we need to know more about this player before we take any action."

All this time White was silent.

"We need to silence this player's family as well…We are not yet through phase 2…"

White mumbled.

"Haaaa..."

Malcolm sighed and sat on the nearest chair.

He looked at the ceiling and said.

"Just when everything was going smooth…"

White who heard this said to Malcolm.

"We don't have time… let's go to the server and system faculty."

Without waiting for Malcolm's response he stood and started walking out of the cabin.

"Shit…"

Malcolm said and he also left the cabin.

***

"Looks like shit got real…"

Zack muttered.

"Yo! Johnny! tell all the staff, director White and Sir Malcolm are coming, and will arrive any minute from now."

The moment Zack shouted this, everyone present there froze.

"Wha-.."

"Fuck!! This is bad!"

"Don't slack guys!! Move Your Asses!!"

Chaos spread across.

The one who reported this, Zack, enjoyed this view.

Everyone started cleaning their workspaces and tidying their attire.

***

"Director White and Sir Malcolm, Welcome!"

Everyone greeted the duo the moment they arrived.

The place was shining as if built recently.

It was clear that everyone cleaned the place the moment they got the news.

But without batting this an eye Malcolm said in a solemn voice.

"Give us the report."

"This is the report, Sir!"

Johnny who was attending both gave them the report.

"The first alert that appeared was [Player number #038PN76JKL named 'Neel' has been disconnected from the system.]

And the second notification we got was,

[Player Neel has died.]"

Both White and Malcolm had grim expressions on their faces.

"I see…"

The one who broke the silence was director White's grim voice.
