29 WHO TOOK OFF MY WEDDING GOWN?

It's another bright new day. Princess Fen could be seen comfortably sleeping on the bed. She has forgotten that she was in a different home. Princess Fen was too tired because of the previous day's ceremony.

The bright sun lit up the room through the window. The sun directly shuns a mirror that was placed on the world. She was still snoring, but the light that came from the mirror was so bright that Princess Fen felt it on her face. Because the mirror was directly facing her as well. Probably, the window has been open since the previous night.

Prince Gen was in the garden, feeding his eyes with the beauty of nature. This has been his favorite place anytime he's lonely. But today, he wasn't lonely. He just felt like leaving the room to come and take some fresh air.

Prince Gen was also tired, but he woke up as early as possible. Maybe, it was because of Shu.

Shu went to their room early in the morning and knocked on the door. When prince Gen asked who it was, Shu responded from outside.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness. I'm here to check on the princess. I would like to prepare her breakfast, and I don't know what she would like to eat."

Hamm. Prince Gen yawns and stretches his body before replying to Shu.

"Meet the chief maiden and discuss with her. Prepare anything she asks you to prepare." Prince Gen responded.

"But, Your Highness. Don't you think Her Highness will complain if she doesn't like the meal?" Shu asked.

"Don't worry about that. As long as the food is not poisonous, she will eat. And please, anything she's eating, we also join her to eat." Prince Gen replied.

"Alright, Your Highness," Shu answered from outside and went to the kitchen to ask for the chief maiden.

Prince Gen used that opportunity and left the room. Since then, he hasn't gone back to the room again.

Princess Fen woke up from her sleep. She stretched up her body and lazily opened her eyes, before yawning. She scanned the room for a while. Princess Fen was a bit confused. She wondered if someone kidnapped her because the room doesn't look familiar. It wasn't her room nor her mother's room.

"Where could this be?" She thought in her mind as she sat on the bed. She was feeling a slight fever. Princess Fen placed her right hand on her forehead. Her head was itching inside, and the smell of the room wasn't like her room. She closed her eyes and opened them. Princess Fen blinks her eyes twice. Her senses began to recall and recollect everything that happened yesterday. It was her wedding, and she was on her husband's bed.

Princess Fen turned and looked around if she could see the man she married. Surprisingly, no one was on the bed. She scanned the room again, and she sighted those flowering hairpins that were used on hair yesterday. They were properly kept on a table. Again, she saw her wedding gown being hung on an iron.

As a breeze blew through the window, some bad smell filled her nostril. Her hand was still on her forehead. Now, she knows where the smell was coming from. Her armpits and her entire body. This shows that she slept off without taking her bath last night.

"But wait, who took off my gown? I hope he wasn't the one that changed my clothes." Princess Fen mumbled, feeling uncomfortable. She was praying that the prince didn't see her nakedness. Or maybe he even slept with her without her knowledge. She was beginning to be worried as if prince Gen wasn't her husband.

Princess Fen stepped down from the bed and located the bedroom. The bathtub was filled with warm water. She gently closed the door behind her.

She studied the bathroom like someone who doesn't know what a bathroom is.

Princess Fen took off her clothes and hung them on one of the irons that were fixed on the wall. All princesses are meant to be bathed by their maidens, but with princess Fen, her case was different. She never allows anyone to bathe her. Even when Shu tries to bathe her, she refuses, even though Shu has slept with her. Maybe she has reasons for it, but would she have serious reasons? Only she can answer that.

Shu was done making the couple's meal. She took it up to their room, assisted by one of the palace's maidens who helped her in taking the load. On getting to the prince's door, She never bothered to knock because she knew that prince Gen was in the garden. She saw him a few minutes ago, sitting in the garden alone.

They entered the room. Shu was expecting to see princess Fen on the bed, but she was nowhere to be found. She froze for a moment, as she wondered if the princess ran out of the kingdom. As she stood contemplating, the other maiden had already dropped her load on the room's table.

"I will take my leave now." The maiden said, and Shu nodded and smiled at her.

Her mind wasn't at rest at that very moment. Shu steadily walked to the table and dropped the load on her hand. Before she could stand up, she heard a sound coming from the bathroom.

"That must be her," Shu said to herself.

"My Ai, are you there?" Shu called out.

On hearing Shu's voice, Princess Fen answered. Shu was feeling relieved.

"Your breakfast is ready," Shu said to her.

"Alright, give me a few minutes. I will be done bathing." Princess Fen responded.

"I will, My Lady…." Shu replied as she jokingly prolonged the sentence.

Hmm. Princess Fen sighed.

Shu located a chair and sat on it as she patiently waited for the princess to finish. She studied everything in the room. Shu was in love with the room design. The animals' drawings, the wooden materials, and the orderliness of the room. Only one thing spoils the beauty of the room. The wedding gown was hung on an iron.

"I think I will need to call His Highness," Shu said, as she was tired of waiting for the princess.

"Why?" Princess Fen sharply asked.

"To inform him about his breakfast. He asked me to combine your breakfast together as a family." Shu responded.

"Huh? The same plate?" Princess Fen's voice came from the bathroom. She was surprised to hear that.

"Yes. Is there anything wrong with that?" Shu responded.

"Maybe. Besides, I have something to ask you. So please don't go." I'm almost done." Princess Fen's low voice came from the bathroom as she stepped out of the bathtub.

"Something like what." Shu was confused.

"Something significant, which happens neither this night nor this morning." Princess Fen replied.

"Something important that happened?" Shu muttered with a cracking voice.

Shu was thinking that possibly prince Gen slept with princess Fen the previous night. But she was confused because the princess didn't even know when the thing happened.

"Can a man sleep with his wife without her knowledge? If not, why was she saying, it was neither night nor this morning?" Shu mumbled as she was lost in thought.
