Chapter 21

Right after the carriage began to leave the place, Jason who was hiding by a rock couldn't help but let out a breath of relief as he watched the carriage leave.

"That's a close one. So she is making those poison on purpose and here I am thinking they were just failed potions but who would have guessed that she was actually trying to make poison" Jason said to himself before he started stalking the carriage from behind quietly.

Following the carriage for a long time was exhausting to him but it was quite unfortunate for him that he has been traveling along the carriage for seven months so he has gotten used to it. Traveling all day long without reaching, within an eye, they have been on the road for two days and are not too far from getting to their destination.

"I have to act now or there would be no chance for me to get my hand on the map" Jason said to himself confidently as he began to make his plan.

In the evening when the mistress decided that they should take a break, Jason decided to take the time to check the carriage since she would be busy feeding the slaves with one of her poisons and since it is dark, it makes it the perfect time for him to strike.

Going around to avoid being seen by Jack, Jason skipped into the carriage and was surprised to see that inside the carriage was big enough to house two people. With the little time he had, he decided to go straight to what brought him there as he went to the table which seems to be where she conducted her experiment where he saw the map laying there.

"It seems like she has been trying to figure out what is unique about the map" mutters Jason before keeping it away.

"Now how am I supposed to know the potion she fed me with?" he wondered as he began to go through the potion that was on the table.

It took him some time and still, he was still unable to locate where the potion is and was just about to give up on his search but that's when he noticed a greenish potion that doesn't stand out like the rest and he took it out before uncocking it before sniffing it.

"This should be the potion" he said with a smile before keeping it away as well and was just about to leave the carriage but the moment that he turned around, he saw the mistress was standing by the entrance with her hands folded on the chest while watching him.

"So you manage to survive the poison kid"? She asked with a frown on her face as he continued to stare at him.

Jason didn't say a word as he continued to watch her but at the same time, he was guarded just in case she decided to make a move on him. Seeing that he is not saying a thing, she decided to take a step forward before speaking up.

"I believe you came to get that stupid map of yours, but then you took a potion of mine which you know nothing about. Tell me boy, what do you plan to do with that potion"?.

"Tha has nothing to do with you" replied Jason with a serious face.

"Oh, it has a lot to do with me boy. I made that potion so I would like to know what you plan to do with it, otherwise, kindly put it back and with for your punishment" said the mistress in an order.

Knowing that he won't be leaving the carriage without a fight, Jason obediently took the potion out as he showed it to the mistress but instead of putting it down, Jason opened the potion and placed it in his mouth before drinking the whole content. Seeing him drinking the potion, the mistress dashed out in an attempt to stop him but was still too late as he was already drinking everything.

With a happy look on his face, Jason threw the container away as he let out a satisfying laugh.

"How does it feel to have the potion you made wholehearted being put to waste by someone who should be dead? Oh wait, you don't have to feel angry since you can just make it all over again and have those innocent people have a mouthful of it" said Jason with a smile on his face as he has already crossed his mind for the worst.

"You fool, I thought of giving you a light punishment but after this that you have done, don't ever think of getting out of here alive" replied the mistress angrily as she took out her whip before whipping it out at Jason who just stepped to the side as the whip hit the table as it broke it in two with the potion that was on it being destroyed.

"You brought this upon yourself mistress, I never requested to be one of your slaves but you just forcefully took me in, now all your effort has been put to waste" said Jason as he stare after the potions had been destroyed with some even eating away the carriage.

"You are going to pay for this boy" said the mistress angrily as she infuse spiritual energy into the whip before whipping it out at Jason and this time around, the whip which seem to be slow a moment ago, just happened to get fast as it penetrates Jason defense before whipping him on the face.

The mistress had a happy look on her with the hope of causing damage to him but to her surprise, Jason was fine and sound as he had a smile on his face.

"I thought you were going to hit harder than that, but never in my life did I imagine that you were going to hit me with that whip like a baby who started crawling" said Jason with a mockery smile on his face.

"Jack get over here" the mistress ordered after seeing that she could not harm Jason.
