Fishing in the troubled waters, Huge Harvest

Fishing in the troubled waters, Huge Harvest.

[Adrea POV],

I had a look of extreme envy on my face as I looked at the Golden fruit in front of me.

'Damn,' I thought to myself.

Even if I somehow become God's favorite son, my hand will never touch the skin of the fruit, even if a miracle occurs.

'These scumbag Elder brothers in monster form, tsk.'

I watched the monsters at the center, directly below the golden fruit, as I slowly drew my gaze away from the treasure my hands couldn't touch, making my heart bleed like crazy.

'Seriously, isn't it the old saying that the 'Older ones do not partake in the business of the young', so why the hell are Gold level monsters here?' I thought in pain.

I couldn't help myself, even though my reasoning was illogical.

Because of these monsters, I abandoned any hope of stealing the golden fruit.

I'm still in love with my life.

As I was a little lost in thought.

I noticed the golden light emanating from the golden fruit had dimmed and was descending to the ground at a snail's pace, but this movement from the fruit was the beginning of chaos.

Every monster in the center of the crowd of beasts released their mana simultaneously as if a switch had just been pressed. They may have known or not, or they may have chosen to ignore it, but as soon as they did, it was as if the air around them were being pushed back, and everything in their immediate vicinity was violently pushed back by the wind.

Even I, who was at the back of the monsters, was flunked out by the wind, except mine was just pushed back a little bit further away, unlike the ones who died directly from this.

'Why the hell is the power of the Gold level so exaggerated? They only did one thing: they released their mana!' I thought.

I was about to consider leaving the battleground when I saw something that caused me to stop in my tracks.

I noticed dozens of dead monsters piled up in one corner, but that isn't the point.

The orbs near their dead body were what brought me to a halt.

Looking at the monsters' behavior near the dead monsters' bodies, I noticed that none of them could see the orbs or the material near the dead bodies.

When I saw this, I had only one thought: 'Is it finally my turn to be a fisherman fishing in troubled waters?'

Without hesitation, I dashed to the dead monster's body, keeping my presence as low as possible.

Perhaps it was because of my low level, but every monster that saw me ignored me as they continued their slaughter.

As a result, I was able to collect a large amount of loot.

It's been 20 minutes since the battle began, and more monsters were dying and more were coming in, so I paused to take a short break and rest a little.

I even spotted an 'army' of the silver horse' specie I previously fought.

I got a lot from them as well, especially the skillbook fragments.

BOOOMMMM.....

I was still thinking when something sounded like a bomb and a violent wind came my way, nearly taking me up like before, but I managed to hang on by clinging to the rock beside me.

I brought my head out from behind the rock slowly after the violent wind had died down and looked at the source of the attack just now.

'Damn, f**king hell,' I cursed internally as I stepped outside to see a massive face in front of me.

Worst of all, it was one of the gold-level monsters that resembled a cow that I had spotted in the center before the battle began, although it was injured now, it had more than enough power to kill someone with an ant power like me.

I was already prepared to die because I'd harvested so much already when I noticed another monster approaching us.

The incoming monster, with the appearance of a bull, was another monster I spotted in the center before the battle began.

It was also hurt.

BOOOMMMM...

When the bull monster hit the other monster with its head, causing it to go in a different direction due to the force that broke multiple speed barriers and chased after it again, I realized where the source of the previous attack was.

In my miserable state, I dashed in another direction as soon as the bull monster left.

'I'm curious as to what my followers will think if they see me in this miserable state, acting like a scavenger.' I couldn't help but wonder.

Turning my gaze to the source of it all, 'the golden fruit,' I noticed a monster flying in the direction of the golden fruit.

'Looks like the monsters have a cunning little thief on their side,' I thought.

There were obviously a lot of flying monsters on the battlefield, but they were all momentarily focused on their opponent and temporarily forgot about the fruit.

It wasn't until later that they noticed the monsters sneaking up on the fruit, but it was too late.

When I focused my attention on the sly monster, I noticed it looked strangely familiar.

'Damn. Isn't that the same griffin who murdered me earlier today?' I thought.

'What a vile individual', was my impression of the monster.

When the griffin was close enough to the fruit, it opened its mouth and gulped it down in one swallow.

When the monsters saw the griffin gulping down the fruit, they all turned tail and ran, but before they could take a step forward, half of the heads of all the monsters around me burst open, and all I saw was darkness before receiving a message from the system saying;

[You died]
