Battle for the law of dark flames and meeting Agneya Again[2]

Battle for the law of dark flames and meeting Agneya Again[2],

I returned to my previous location and recalled my conversation with the humanoid monsters.

"About that," the unicorn humanoid monster began his speech, but he hesitated to say more and looked at the demigod monsters, or more accurately, at a demigod with the same body trait as his but who appeared younger, as if he was asking for permission for something.

With the unicorn demigod nodding his head at him, the old-looking unicorn turned to face me and gave me a 'kind' smile before speaking.

"We can give you a chance to take one of the golden strands; in fact, we have no choice but to give you guys a chance to take a strand," he said, looking around at the monsters when he said the latter part of his speech,

From the perspective of an ordinary person, the humanoid monster was speaking to a human and a swarm of monsters, as if he believed the monsters could understand him.

Monsters, like humans, evolve as they level up. After each level, they become more intelligent.

When I took my mind off these things, I was perplexed by what he meant when he said they had no choice but to give us a chance at taking a strand.

He cleared our confusion with his next words, perhaps because he sensed our confusion or because he was planning to explain in the first place.

"Though these treasures are obviously precious, especially for low levels like you, they are not useful to us because we're too powerful, and getting too close to the treasure in the first place will destroy it", he said.

I immediately understood what he meant after hearing what he had to say.

No wonder they haven't moved to seize the treasure all this time, I thought. 'It's not that they don't want to do it; they just can't,' I thought.

However, whether or not this treasure is useful to them, they won't let us simply take it away.

There is a limit to how generous a person can be.

But seriously, why is it that when I left the city, I realized that this world is much more than it appears?

The monsters are proof enough that there is civilization here.

I'm not sure about humans, but there should be plenty of monsters.

As I was thinking of these things, the old-looking unicorn spoke again bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Since we don't want to destroy the treasures, we decided to assist you by allowing you to take some of the treasures while we keep the rest for ourselves," he conveyed.

'F****** hell!!! This is highway robbery!!! You guys are the ones who need our help, but you use your power to bully us and still have the audacity to say you're helping us', I thought angrily as I tried my best to keep myself from expressing my true emotions outside as I once again felt how unfair it is to be unable to defend yourself simply because you aren't strong enough or simply too weak.

'Or maybe it's my mindset that's bringing me down, after all, power is everything no matter where you are,' I reflected.

Even though I was angry and couldn't say anything about the fact that we were given leftovers, I was still glad to have a chance at getting one.

'After all, mosquito leg is still meat, and just because it isn't useful to them doesn't mean it isn't useful to me,' I thought as I waited for the monster to proceed.

"Since it's been decided, let me state a few things before we begin," he said.

'You didn't even give us a second to decide whether or not to participate, and it's already decided.' When?' I retorted in my head because I didn't dare to speak up.

"So you don't waste your time and end up with a Law strand that isn't compatible with you, I'll just say a few things," he explained.

"Using any of these laws will allow you to awaken another element, and if you already have a corresponding element, it evolves it to a mutant or variant element, and if you have a special element, it strengthens it to the next stage," he began his speech with this before adding;

"I'll now point out the location of the strands you might want," he said, pointing to various strands and saying their names.

"Law of Strength",

"Law of Explosion",

"Law of Fire",

"Law of Ice",

.....

"Law of Dark Flames",

"Law of speed',

"Law of ....",

While listening to him and noting down the laws he mentioned and their locations, I noticed some that had nothing to do with elements, which perplexed me.

But, because I couldn't understand it even if I tried, I ignored it and concentrated on the strands the monster was pointing at.

.....

The monster finally stopped after a while of listing the laws as I went through all of them again.

After some time, I finally found a law that is compatible with me, or that I believe is compatible with me.

"Law of Dark Flames," I murmured.

'As long as the name isn't misleading, then this law should be related to the Fire and Dark elements which I have, so it should be compatible with I hope,' I thought as I returned my gaze to the old-looking unicorn, with my thoughts racing.

I'm not sure how I'm going to avoid being questioned about the demigods, and there's no way I'm teaching them 'Uulash. I thought when the demigods came to my mind.

As my level of stress crept up on me and I tried to stop myself from sighing like an old man. The humanoid unicorn spoke once more.
