Battle for the law of dark flames and meeting Agneya Again[1]

Battle for the law of dark flames and meeting Agneya Again[1],

[Adrea POV],

After answering my question, the old-looking humanoid unicorn monster asked me to do something for him.

I listened to what he had to say because I was interested in what he had to say, Well, not that I had the option to do something else in the first place.

"What are you?" he questioned.

Sh*t.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of them discovering.

I can't just say I'm human, can I?

And I can't call myself a monster, can I? Because only those who have reached the Arch level can have a humanoid body, and I am, well, pretty much a human being and look like one.

I was still thinking of a lie to tell when I overheard one of the demigod monsters say; "Why are you curious to know what he is? You're asking the wrong question here "Before continuing, the monster stated.

"He's probably some kind of shapeshifting monster," he said, before indirectly asking another question.

"What you should ask is, 'Who is he?' and 'Where did he learn to speak the ancient language like that?'"

I could feel the other humanoid monsters looking in my direction immediately after the monster said this as if they were anticipating something from me but tried to hide it, but I was certain they wanted something from me.

So, rather than answering them directly, much to their chagrin, which they quickly concealed, I asked a question instead.

"I'm not sure what you mean by that, sir," I began with an innocent look on my face and continued my speech by saying,

"I thought everyone was fluent in the ancient language?" With the same innocent expression on my face, I inquired, but I was actually curious on the inside.

I can tell they want the ancient language from me, but why?

Isn't this the same language we're speaking now?

I looked at the humanoid mothers as they looked back at me, trying to hide my confusion.

After some time in that position, the female humanoid monster from before with scales on her body and snake eyes responded, saying;

True, we are speaking the same language, but at the same time, we aren't, she said, confusing me. I waited for her to continue without responding.

You speak "Uulash" while we speak "Itpan." Since you speak a higher quality language than we do, where did you learn it? She inquired trying to look indifferent like she wasn't really interested with the latter part of her speech hurried.

Without responding and maintaining the same innocent demeanor as before, I was thinking quickly in my head.

The terms 'Uulash' and 'Itpan' are actually familiar to me because I came across them while reading through the information transmitted into my mind by the system when I received the Intermediate Ancient Language reward.

As she stated, Uulash is of higher quality than Itpan in the sense that only members of the royal family are permitted to learn it.

When I got to this point in my thoughts, the only thing that came to mind was 'F**k.'

I messed up from the moment I said 'Uulash' to them.

Uulash and Itpan are basically the same language like old English and new English on Earth, in the sense that they sound similar, allowing you to communicate with the other person, but the ancient language is more complicated.

One can be used to cast spells with ten times the power while the other can't.

So it's no surprise that they want to know how I learned to speak it because, in their minds, I learned it by accident. After all, no member of the royal family will be present here and at a such low level.

Because of two factors, I assumed they were 'Royal families' in the monster kingdom.

One is based on the way they speak. It seems that the intelligent monsters in this world must have been divided into tribes or families.

And the other is because of the description of the shadow blade.

[Shadow Blade{A}],

Made from the skin of a royal beast grade beast, mixed with other precious rare materials and the blood of a royal beast grade purple bloodsucking demon to create an A grade weapon that is already on the verge of awakening a weapon spirit, making its actual grade a Pseudo S grade weapon.

….

Has the ability to grow by consuming blood essence.

….

This further proved my point that nobility existed among the monsters.

When I looked at the scaled snake-eyed humanoid monster who had asked me the question, I thought to myself, 'No wonder they would bother answering my question when they could have just killed me when I interrupted them at first.'

'So that means the only reason I'm still alive and still talking with them is that they need something from me,' I reasoned.

Seeing that I hadn't spoken in a long time, the unicorn old man smiled kindly at me and was about to speak when I interrupted him by saying, "It's not that I can't tell the seniors about my language, but will the seniors have mercy on this lowly one, allowing me to have a chance in taking one of the Golden Strand?" I said.

'Even if you smile kindly at me, do you think I can't sense or see the disdain you try to hide when you talk to me? I'm sure once you get what you want, I'll be nothing more than the trash you could dispose of,' I thought as I waited for their response.

The one who responded was still the same old man with the unicorn horn on his forehead, saying;

"About that, y....."
