Finalizing the registration, Future Classmates, and the Wild Agneya[15]

Finalizing the registration, Future Classmates, and the Wild Agneya[15],

[Tethys POV],

I started making magic circles behind Agenya, just as she was about to reach the monster.

I created several magic circles in the air, both small and large, using quick chants and mana manipulation.

I made as many as my mana and my current control of mana would allow and released the spell when I was satisfied;

"Ice Spikes"

Immediately after I cast the spell, a shower of ice spikes of varying sizes, both large and small, descended on the monster.

If it had only been a single attack, it would have had little effect on the monster, but if it was an attack in multiple locations, it will make a difference.

However, my intention in attacking the monster with multiple ice spikes was not to cause direct harm to the monster in the first place.

It was advantageous if the attack could deal additional damage to the monster.

My goal was to use the attack to distract the monster and keep it busy, long enough for Agneya to land a solid hit.

And, as expected, she seized the opportunity presented to her by being able to land a punch on the monster immediately after it finished defending against my attack with its scales.

This was no ordinary punch, either.

She had accumulated a lot of fire in her right hand before reaching the range of attack while the monster was still defending against my attack, which she condensed to the highest form covering most of her right arm before delivering an attack to the monster.

When the attack hit, it sounded like a bomb had exploded, and she was able to land our first real solid attack since the start of this fight.

But that didn't mean everything was already fine.

'I really don't want to see Agneya after her 3-minute timer has been used and passed,' I thought as I increased my attacking efforts in hopes that this battle would end quickly.

...

I'm not sure how long we've been fighting, but the battle was finally on our side as we gained the advantage in this fight.

After an unknown period of fighting, the monster's body was riddled with holes, with blood gushing from its wounds.

I circulated the mana in my body as I chanted a spell, not wanting this fight to drag on any longer.

"Freeze"

Using the blood of the monster that was already outside as a means to connect to the blood that was still inside the monster, I temporarily froze it, causing it to appear that the monster was stunned and couldn't move.

But I could only maintain this state for a few seconds, which was fine because it was all that was required in the first place.

She appeared to be a goddess who had just descended, with her slightly floating off the ground and the air around her that appeared to be burning, and the ground beneath her already melted to white lava.

This was a familiar sight when she used one of her ultimate moves.

She only uttered one word, pointing her right hand in the general direction of the monster.

"Disintegrate",

Immediately after she said this, all I saw was white, followed by a half-dead monster by the side and an exhausted Agneya beside me.

Agneya's physique, like some rare physiques out there that provide special energy for their host, did the same thing, which is why the final attack was more powerful than the others.

However, due to her lack of mastery over the special energy her body provides, Agneya prefers to use what she is familiar with: mana.

Sighing softly, I was about to collapse to the ground and rest for a few brief seconds when I noticed a fist directed at my face.

I couldn't move or dodge because it happened so quickly, so I could only watch helplessly as the fist hit me.

As my back collided with the wall, I thought, 'Damn, I forgot about Agneya.'

I stood back up quickly, spilling a mouthful of blood to the ground, trying to ignore the pain my aching body was experiencing.

But, as expected, I was exhausted from battling the now-half-dead monster, so I couldn't do anything when another attack was directed at me.

It was a palm this time.

Agneya grabbed my head with her palm and slammed it against the wall behind me before tossing me away like a rag doll.

I came to a halt after colliding with the floor and rolling a few times.

I stood up slowly, using my trembling hands to support me as I wondered why Agneya hadn't attacked me yet.

After a brief search, I found Agneya right in front of the now dead monster punching its stomach.

Agneya kept punching the now-dead monster's stomach as the monster's guts and blood splattered on her face and body.

The strangest thing about this scene was that while she was punching the monster's stomach, she had a happy smile on her face, allowing people to recognize that she was happy with what she was doing.

With what she was doing now, she appeared to be a wild beast that had just escaped from its leash and was looking for someone to unleash its bloodlust on.

'Of course, three minutes would have passed in the time it took to defeat the monsters. 'Looks like she was holding herself back until the end so she wouldn't lose her reason quickly.' I thought as I activated stage 1 of my physique and dashed in her direction, not caring what the people hiding and invigilating us thought.

Allowing her to continue like this will only bring the opposite of what she truly wanted.
