I left the guild with my mind in knots, the guild master's reassurances about Jack Hammer's disappearance failing to shake my gut feeling. Jack should be long gone, with his criminal cover blown, but something in the back of my mind gnawed at me. I couldn't shake the hunch that he might still be lurking somewhere nearby, waiting to strike again.
"Guess it can't be helped. I'll give 'that' to her."
As I strolled through the bustling streets, I spotted her in front of an armory shop, chatting happily with Leen. Tia waved as soon as she saw me, a bright smile lighting up her face.
"Mr. Zal!" she called out, giving a cheery wave. Leen turned and greeted me with a friendly nod.
"Out shopping?" I asked casually.
Tia beamed, holding up a new, finely crafted spear. "Leen got me this awesome spear! Isn't it cool?"
