"What a bunch of fools! Did they really think I would jump off from this height?" she mumbled to herself while checking her clothes for the last time.
John who heard her statement while standing outside let out a soft laugh. 'Indeed. My wife is a tough woman.' He thought to himself after recalling what Brown said earlier.
She walked out of the room in a relaxed and carefree manner, confident that everyone was gone somewhere to find her.
"My men were fools. I'm glad I am not." This declaration made her stop in her tracks and slowly, she turned to face John who was leaning on the door with take-out food in his hand.
"Why are you here?" she soon realized that her question was the most stupid question she ever uttered in front of him. Nonetheless, he answered her patiently.
"I heard you were gone. I was afraid and rushed back here. That's when I realized you can't possibly be jumping off from a high place so I return back to your room."
