Episode 9 - The legends of Yesterday (Crossover Part 2)

Previously, on "Arrow" and "Flash"

Oliver was in Jitters and he hands a kid is flash action figure that he had dropped. "Thanks, mister." The little boy said.

"Yeah." Oliver smiled. He then sees the boy run up to his mother who was Oliver's ex, who had led about losing the baby.

**********

Team Flash bring Kendra to Team Arrow for help. "Barry and Atchaco said that you need our help. Somebody very dangerous is after you." Oliver recalls. This dangerous person was called Vandal Savage.

**********

"Give her to me and I'll make your death fast." Savage told them. Barry and Macanese then run into Jitters and save Cisco and Kendra.

**********

"The man you're looking for is Vandal Savage. An immortal." Malcom tells them as they stand in the Arrow Cave.

**********

A man named Carter takes Kendra, he then tells the team how they are connected to each other and whp Savage is. "Chay-Ara, it's me, Khufu. We're drawn to each other in each life, and after we die, we reincarnate." Carter informed her.

"Do you know who Vandal Savage is?" Oliver asked.

"In every lifetime, he hunts us down." Carter answers.

Malcolm then walks in and tells everyone what Savage wants. "We think he's trying to locate the Staff of Horus." Malcolm informs them.

**********

Kendra then decided to it was time to embrace who she really was. "I'm never going to become who I really am unless I let go." Kendra said before jumping off the rooftop.

"No!" Cisco yelled.

Kendra manages to get her wings open and she flies, but Savage senses it happening. "Chay-Ara." He whispers.

**********

In ancient egypt, the middle kingdom, servants were putting the offerings and other items that the prince had brought. "Prince Khufu, my son. What have you come to offer?" The Pharaoh wondered.

"Father, we bring this tribute to the protector to all we see and know, Horus. Praise be upon him." Khufu answered.

"It is a fine offering, Khufu. At least worthy of a God." Pharaoh replied.

"And yet, priestess Chay-Ara does not seem to agree." Khufu turns and faces her.

"Your offering is lovely, my prince. If not a bit naive." Chay-Ara told him.

"Naive?" Khufu scoffs.

"To think that Horus would be appeased by... trifles. The portents of his dissatisfaction grow with each passing day. The celestial rocks used to fall once a generation; now they strike with each phase of the moon." Chay-Ara reminds him.

"I thought it was your job to keep Horus in a good mood... Priestess." Kufu replied.

"Priestess Chay-Ara only speaks out of concern for all." Savage sad as he walked in. "Otherwise, she would remain a bit more... Polite. We have warned you time and again of the sky rocks and the threat they pose to the court of Ramses the Wise. Dark times are coming, my pharaoh. Prayers and trifles will not be enough to stop it."

Later, Chay-Ara was walking down the halls of the temple when Khufu walks up to her. "You spoke with quite the tongue in there." Khufu told her.

"Did I overreact?" Chay-Ara asked.

"No. I love your tongue." Khufu admits. He pulls her close and they start kissing, what they didn't know what that Savage saw them.

Kendra snaps out of the memory as she realises that she was not in Egypt, but in fact in a van heading to the safe house. "You ok?" Carter questions.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I just have a headache." Kendra admits.

"Are you sure? Usually that's a sign of your memories returning." Carter tells her.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I can't remember anything yet." Kendra lied.

A few minutes later, they pull up to a farmhouse. "A bunch of superheroes in a farmhouse? I feel like I've seen that in a movie before." Thea told them.

"We need a secure location." Oliver reminds her.

"What's wrong with S.T.A.R. Labs?" Caitlin asks.

"Well, I mean, absolutely nothing if you forget about the revolving door you guys installed so the bad guys can come and go as they please." Oliver retorted.

"Remind me again what happened to your old lair, or the one before that." Caitlin smirked.

"Well, lair number one was compromised by the police, and... I will stop helping." Felicity said.

"Savage only let Barry, Atchaco and I live because he felt Kendra start to emerge as Hawkgirl and went after her. He can sense her and Carter's presence. We don't need to make it easier on him by staying in the city limits." Oliver explained.

"Bet you wish you were staying at your mother's place now." Diggle told Laurel, who shakes her head.

Minutes later, they were all inside the house. "We need to find a way to neutralise Savage's advantage." Oliver said as Cisco, Barry and Atchaco walk in with Cisco's equipment. "Barry, Atchaco, you're late."

"Sorry. It turns out, it's not easy finding the ass end of nowhere, even as a cyborg." Atchaco retorts.

"Yeah, for real. The roaming charges alone are going to bankrupt me." Cisco complained.

"We're discussing how to take away Savage's newfound power." Oliver told them.

"And his magic stick thing." Felicity said.

"Yeah, Staff of Horus." Carter corrected her.

"Well, it's protected by some kind of energy field. I couldn't lay a finger on it." Barry told them.

"Maybe if you wear mittens next time." Felicity suggested.

"What if we made some sort of insulated gauntlets…" Caitlin started to say.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, the magnetic shielding could disrupt the–" Cisco continued.

"The staff's magnetic polarity." Felicity finsihed and then they walk out of the room.

"Well, while the geek squad works–" Oliver started to say.

"Heard that, honey." Felicity calls.

"While they work to get the staff away from Savage, we need to know everything there is to know about him." Oliver tells them and they walked into the living room with the others.

"Well, I googled reincarnated nutjobs and came up with nothing." Thea told them.

"Kendra and I would be the reincarnated nutjobs, I also believe Atchaco is one. Savage is merely immortal." Carter replies as he walks in carrying a chest.

"That I am." Atchaco agrees,

"Merely?" Laurel wonders.

"Welcome to the new normal." Thea chuckles as she walks away.

"Anyone who's been around for 4,000 years should leave a trail. I'll check with A.R.G.U.S., see if they have anything on him." Diggle told them.

"Laurel and I can check police reports and stuff like that." Thea said.

"Good." Oliver then walks over the Kendra." We need to find a way to utilise your new ability."

"My ability?" Kendra ponders.

"It might give us an advantage." Oliver explains.

"Yeah, whatever you do, don't let him train you. I'm sorry, but when it rains, I can still feel where he shot me with those arrows." Barry complains and Atchaco pats Barry on the shoulder as they walk away.

"I'll handle her training, then." Carter tells them.

"Yeah." Oliver then turns to leave but Felicity walks up to him.

"Oliver." Felicity said.

"Uh, I need to run something down. I'll be back as soon as I can." Oliver replies, walking away.

Felicity looks confused for a sec as she follows him out the door. "And what exactly are you running down?" Felicity questions.

"Don't worry, it's nothing dangerous." Oliver reassures her.

"Well, are you ok?" Felicity asks.

"Well, we're up against an immortal mad man armed with a magical staff, so I do have a few things on my mind." Oliver admits.

"Yeah, but you were acting fine with everything while we were home, and now that we're here in Central City, you've just been not...you." Felicity notices.

"Well, maybe it's too bright and sunny for me here. There is something going on, and I am going to tell you all about it. I would just like the chance to know what I'm dealing with first." Oliver replies.

"Ok." Felicity sighed.

"Ok." Oliver repeats, turning around and leaving. Felicity looks at him with a worried look as she watches him leave.

In the backyard, Cisco walks up to Kendra. "Hey! You must be going through a lot right now." Cisco said.

"Yeah. You know, we should talk." Kendra told him.

"Never in the history of romance have those words ever meant anything good." Cisco points out.

"I just mean we should probably talk about everything that's happened-- that's happening." Kendra said.

"You know what, I'm going to suggest something radical here and say let's not talk. Look, you've got a lot on your plate right now. And I just don't want to be that piece of very nutritious broccoli that you scrape off the plate to give to the dog. My point being, I don't think you can afford to be distracted right now." Cisco explained.

"Let's go." cart said, walking up with the chest.

"Yes. Let's." Cisco smiled.

"Sorry, buddy, this is private." Cart apologised.

"Private?" Cisco wondered.

"Yep." Carter replied.

Cisco lifts his hands as he gives up. "I'm just going to go do some push-ups over there." Cisco said, turning around and leaving.

"Open it." Carter ordered, motions to the chest.

"Why? What's inside?" Kendra asked.

"Something we have to track down in each of our incarnations. Sometimes I find it; Sometimes you find me and we go look for it together. 4,000 years, 206 lives. We've seen about every combination there is." Carter answered, unlocking the chest and motioning for Kendra to open it up.

Kendra sighs as she walks over to the chest and opens it up. "I don't think I'm really–" Kendra started to say.

"Ready for this." They both say.

"You say that in every lifetime. Look, as you emerge, as your memories come back to you, so will other things. Skills, languages, pieces of your private life. Katalavaíneis (understand) ?" Carter wonders.

"Déchomai (I do) ." Kendra answered.

"There you go." Carter smiled.

"This is nuts." Kendra scoffed.

"It's ok. I'll help you through it." Carter reassures her.

"Yeah, well, the last time you helped me, I got pushed off a building." Kendra reminded him.

"Yes, and after that, you, uh, you soared, if I remember correctly. And that is because anger, fear, adrenaline--those are the things that bring out the warrior within." Carter explains.

"Well, according to Savage, I'm a priestess." Kendra told him.

"The clergy were warriors. Warrior priests, and that is the side that you need to remember." Carter replies as he takes the helmet out of the trunk.

"And if I can't?" Kendra questions.

"Well, then, we'll both probably die. Again." Carter replied.

Later, Oliver found out where his ex and possible son lives. He watches them walk over to a car when his ex sees him. "Oliver?" She wonders.

"Hi!" Oliver greets her.

"What are you doing here?" She questions, walking over to him.

"So sorry to just drop by unannounced. I came to town the other day, and I saw you with your son." Oliver told her.

"William." She informs him.

"William? That's a nice name." Oliver said.

"Oliver, what are you doing at my house?" She asked.

"I saw you and William together, and it's difficult not to wonder, because he is, what, nine? And you know, we had a thing 10 years ago…" Oliver started to say.

"Ok, let me stop you right there." She said.

"All right." Oliver sighed.

"William isn't yours. I told you I lost our baby, Oliver, and I met William's father two months after moving to Central City. So…" She replied.

"Mom, we're going to miss the game." William calls out.

"Sorry, I have to go." She apologised.

"No, go." Oliver told her.

"Ok." She sighs. She then turns to leave but drops a baseball cap.

Oliver picks up the cap. "Oh, here you are." Oliver said, dusting off the hat and handing it back. "I'm sorry."

"Thank you." She replied.

"Wish William good luck for me, all right?" Oliver told her.

"I will." She said. As she leaves, Oliver opens up his hand to reveal a hair that belongs to William that he had taken from the baseball cap.

His phone then vibrates and he answers it quickly. "Now's not a good time, Malcolm." Oliver told the man.

"I've arranged a meeting with Vandal Savage. You, me, and the two speedsters." Malcolm informed him.

"What? Wait, why–" Oliver questions.

"Because negotiation is the only way out of this situation, Oliver. Savage is going to decimate Central City to get what he wants. If your child were here, you would understand. Suit up. I've already spoke with fleet feet and his girl, they're on their way." Malcolm answers.

Late at night, Barry and Macanese were running through the city. Barry was slightly ahead of Macanese when he turns his head to see another Flash next to him before it disappears. A few seconds later, Barry and Macanese arrive at the warehouse. "Thank you for coming. I know this is more than a little crazy." Oliver tells them.

"Yeah, well, your friend with the creepy ring asked so nicely." Macanese chuckled.

"Please tell me we're not going to negotiate with terrorists. Or, you know, 4,000-year-old bad guys." Barry said.

"Just think of this more as a fact-finding mission. Maybe Savage slips up and gives us something that we can use to our advantage." Oliver tells him.

"Thea said you were being a little more humorous lately." Malcolm scoffs.

"I'm sorry, how do you know so much about Savage, anyway?" Macanese asked.

"I don't know anything about him, Lady Macanese. No one does. That is why I'm afraid of him." Malcolm admitted.

"That's not the only reason to be afraid of me. I assure you." Savage replied, walking in."Thank you for joining me."

"What do you want?" Oliver asked.

"What all living things want-- not to die." Savage answers.

"I thought that wasn't a problem for you." Barry pointed out.

"Only if I take the lifeforce from Prince Khufu and Priestess Chay-Ara." Savage replied.

"Kendra and Carter." Macanese said.

"The three of us are locked in a vicious circle played out over thousands of years. None of your concern." Savage tells them.

"We've made it our concern." Oliver replied. He then fires a bow into Savage's chest.

"Robin of Locksley." Savage grunts as he pulls out the arrow. "I taught him how to use a bow. He taught me how to not feel pain. I'm the enemy you can't defeat. The only way for you and yours to live through this is to render onto me what is mine." He walks over to Macanese and Barry. "Turn over Prince Khufu and Princess Chay-Ara within 24 hours, or I will lay waste to this city, killing everyone that you hold dear." He then walks over to Oliver. "And after that, I will travel to your home, and do the same thing there."

"All right, I'm just curious-- did you rehearse that speech in a mirror this morning, or this all just off the cuff?" barry chuckles.

"Why would you risk the lives of your friends and family for two strangers? 206 times I have killed them." Savage reminds them, looking at Macanese. "Even with your help, they never won. What hubris possesses you that makes you think that you can prevent me from doing so again?"

"Not hubris. Hope." Macanese informs him.

"I came to this meeting out of curiosity. It is now sated. Bring Khufu and Chay-Ara to Jurgens Industrial in 24 hours or I will see you dead and buried under the bodies of your loved ones." Savage then drops the arrow on the ground and leaves.

"We're not giving up Kendra and Carter." Oliver said, turning and starting to walk away.

"That's not your decision to make. This is a cycle that has played out for the last 4,000 years." Malcolm argues.

"Savage may be immortal, but he isn't a God." Macanese reminds him and they look at her. "I should know, I am one."

"No, but he's the next best thing. Oliver!" Malcolm calls.

"What?!" Oliver sighs, turning around.

"You better be certain that your stubbornness does not get my daughter killed. Because if that happens, I will come for you. And in a way that will make you beg for the likes of Vandal Savage." Malcolm warns.

The next day, they are at the farmhouse. "24 hours." Oliver tells them.

"Until what?" Kendra asked.

"Until we are supposed to hand you and Carter over to Savage, or–" Oliver starts to say.

"Savage lays waste to Central City." Carter realised.

"Yeah." Oliver sighed.

"We've been through this before. 1887, the Huang He floods, Savage killed nearly two million people to get to us. And he did." Carter recalls.

"We weren't helping you then. We are now. We have 24 hours to come up with a workable plan." Oliver informed him.

"No, this is insane. My life isn't worth millions of people's lives." Kendra huffed, walking away.

"Kendra. I'll talk to her." Carter said.

"Yeah." Oliver replied.

"Hey, I got this." Cisco told him.

"I said, I'll talk to her." Carter repeats, walking away.

"Hey, here's an idea-- why don't we just toss him over to Vandal Savage?" Cisco suggested.

"Easy mate, let's go and find Barry." Atchaco said.

A few minutes later, they find Barry standing next to the tool shed. "Where were you?" Atchaco asked.

"Hey." Barry greets them.

"You missed the whole, save the city or turn my girlfriend over to an immortal psychopath briefing." Cisco summarize the conversation they had.

"Yeah, sorry. Um, dude, last night, I, um, I ghosted." Barry admitted.

"What?" Atchaco wonders.

"No." Cisco said.

"Yeah, I think I'm going–" Barry tries to say.

"Don't say it." Cisco told him.

"I think I'm going to time jump." Barry said.

"I just told you not to say it!" Cisco reminded him.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do." Barry confessed.

"The first rule of time travel is you don't talk about time travel! Because by having this conversation, we're screwing history!" Cisco explained.

"He does have a point." Atchaco said.

"Look, I know that time travel has consequences. I mean, the last time you vibed–" Barry tried to say.

"Well, I'm not vibing anything right now. Okay, um, all right, look, don't panic. A., you don't know that you time jumped for a bad reason. It could have been a good one, right?" Cisco said and Barry shrugs. "B., now that you know you time jumped, you might not do it, right? So knowing the future might change the present, which might change the future."

"What?" Atchaco questioned, seeing the look on Cisco's face.

"My head hurts." Cisco complained.

In the backyard, Carter runs after Kendra. "Chay-Ara--sorry, Kendra-- you shouldn't run off. We don't know is Savage is–" Carter tries to say.

"Do we ever kill ourselves?" Kendra asked.

"Excuse me?" Carter ponders.

"In our prior lives. Savage has to kill us in order to live forever. Do we ever kill ourselves in order to deny him that?" Kendra wonders.

"You know, in our past lives, I'm typically the one that makes the plans, and I'm starting to think this is probably why." Carter replies.

"Everyone in there is willing to die to protect us. You don't think that's a little bit insane?" Kendra questions.

"No. I think it's noble. I think it's what makes them all heroes." Carter tells her.

"Yeah, well, heroes or not, I'm not letting anyone die for me." Kendra admits.

"Then don't. Be the person, the woman, the warrior you were meant to be. The one you always have been." Carter sighs. "Come at me."

"What?" Kendra said.

"Hit me. Or...try to." Carter tells her.

"Yeah, well, as much as I'd like to do that, I'm really not in the mood right now. " Kendra told him.

"Oh, really? Well, I'll just tell Savage to come back when you are." Carter said. Kendra sighs and then runs towards Carter. He trips her up and she falls onto the floor hard. "Again." He ordered. Kendra then runs towards Carter again, he throws her to the floor and pushes her down with his foot. "Again." He repeated.

"Ahh! Ahh!" Kendra yelled in anger. She stands up as her wings popped out. Kendra was pissed off as she charges at Carter and tackles him down to the ground. Kendra was straddling him as her wings went away.

"Good." Carter grunts. "Do you feel that? The rage? That's the key, Kendra. It's the only way of finding the warrior within."

"Hey." Felicity greets them. "Sorry to interrupt... The weirdness. Um, John, Laurel, and Thea are back, and they've got something."

Minutes later, they are inside the house. 'Where are Oliver, Atchaco and Barry?" Diggle asked.

"Oliver's back in secret-keeping mode, apparently. Barry and Atchaco, I don't know. Caitlin and Cisco are working on the anti-staff gauntlets. What do you guys have?" Felicity questioned and Laurel holds up a VHS tape. Felicity takes the tape. "Beta Max. Aww, what, did you guys get this off of eBay?"

"Lyla hooked us up." Diggle answered.

"Yeah, well, it's going to take a while to play since we live in a digital world now." Felicity said, inspecting it. "Doupt even Atchaco can connect."

"The tape came from a conspiracy theory group that's interested in Savage." Laurel informs her.

"Pentagon had a file on Savage back in '86, but it's all been heavily redacted." Diggle explained.

Felicity quickly types on her laptop and get the video working. "Got it." She smiled as the video starts playing on TV.

"Is this on?" Boardman wonders. "I hope so. My name is Dr. Aldus Boardman. I'm a professor at St. Roch University. The date is April 8th, 1975. I don't think anyone else knows this, and those that do, don't believe. He's a myth. An urban legend. He has been compared to Machiavelli and Nostradamus. He's gone by many names, but I know him as Vandal Savage, and he will be the death of the world. But I believe there is a way to stop him. Savage is an immortal, Egyptian priest. His long life is a result of an unearthly calamity. I believe that any object associated with this calamity should be able to undo its effects and kill him. And I suspect that our precious, fragile world may one day depend upon us doing so." The video then cuts out and it became static.

"Well, that's the understatement of the year. Or, you know, the last 4,000 years." Felicity said.

"Do you have any idea what he meant by these objects? This calamity?" Diggle asked.

"No, I--I don't recall a calamity." Carter told them.

"The staff." Kendra said.

"Staff of Horus?" Felicity questions.

"Yes. I think the staff belonged to Savage back in ancient Egypt." Kendra told them.

"You remember?" Carter asked.

"It's a hunch. And if Professor Boardman's guess is right, that staff has helped me kill Savage." Kendra said.

"Ok, someone needs to inform Oliver, Atchaco and Barry." Laurel replied.

Later at Central City Precinct, Oliver was with Barry and Atchaco in their lab. "Ok, here you go. I gene sequenced the hair strand with the blood sample you gave me. Still not sure what it has to do with Damian Darhk, but the Y chromosomes match." Barry informs him.

Oliver looks at the results and his face drops. "Are you ok?" Atchaco questioned.

"Thanks for this, it's a big help." Oliver hands Barry the paper.

"Yeah, well–" Barry tries to say.

"Barry. Atchaco." Oliver said.

"Yeah?" The speedster wonder.

"Don't tell anyone about this." Oliver told then. He leaves through the back door just as Felicity walks in.

"All right, I'd like to know what's going on here." Felicity said.

"Felicity…" Atchaco tries to say.

"Yes, I tracked you down. I find people for a living. Actually, I don't get paid, but–" Felicity starts to say. Barry then uses his super speed to hide the paper in his pocket. "What was that?"

"What was what?" Atchaco asked.

"Barry just super-speeded something into his pocket." Felicity replied.

"Oh, um, no, nothing. Um, well, actually, it's, um, it's something Oliver wanted Atchaco and I to track down. It's, uh, it's about Damian Darhk–" Barry lied.

"I want to see it." Felicity told them.

"Why?" Atchaco questioned.

"Because you two don't want me to see it." Felicity answered.

"I'm sorry, Oliver specifically asked us–" Barry tried to say.

"Show me." Felicity ordered.

"Ok, damn. Barry give her the paper…" Atchaco sighed.

"I don't know what the big deal is. It's just a DNA test." Barry hands Felicity the paper.

"No, it's not." Felicity gasped after reading the paper.

At Oliver's ex's house, she was sitting in a chair reading a magazine as William was playing with his toys. She then sees Oliver walking up and tells her son to go inside the house. "Can we talk?" Oliver asked.

"Look, I don't know what you're trying to accomplish here, Oliver." She admits.

"I know, Samantha. I know that William is my son." Oliver told her.

"Ok…" Samantha said, her face widens.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Oliver wondering, his voice getting a little louder.

"Ok, just keep your voice down. Your mother told me not to." Samantha told him.

"What?!" Oliver gasped.

"She offered me a million dollars to tell you that I miscarried." Samantha explained.

"My mother was a complicated person, but she would never do that." Oliver argued as they walked inside the house.

"Wait here." Samantha ordered as she walks into the living room. Oliver stays in the hallway and looks at the photos of William that we there. Samantha then walks back in with the check and hands it to him. "Here. I never cashed it. I didn't need her money to know I didn't want her anywhere near my child."

"Or me anywhere near him." Oliver sighs.

"So what, he can be just like his dad? Punching out paparazzi and getting young girls knocked up?" Samantha then walks into the kitchen.

"Samantha, I'm not that person anymore." Oliver tells her.

"I know, I know." Samantha replies. "You're--you're running for mayor, your mother was killed. Your friend Tommy, you're a different person now. But can you really tell me that your life is any less crazy? Can you honestly say that William isn't better off with your world kept away from his?"

"No, you're right, I'm being selfish." Oliver agreed. "But I want an opportunity to get to know my son, and I think that a young boy deserves the opportunity to get to know his father."

"Look." Samantha sighs. "He's happy. He's--he's well-adjusted. I don't want to run the risk of him getting sucked into your orbit. That can't happen. Which means... That he can't know that you're his father. And nobody else can. I don't care if that sounds harsh. I'm his mother, and I will do whatever-- whatever I feel I have to do to protect him."

"Samantha, there is someone in my life now. Please, don't make me keep this from her." Oliver told her.

"Oliver, you will if you want a relationship with my son. These are my conditions. You've already asked the world of me, I'm just asking for the same in return." Samantha told him.

Late at night, Oliver arrives back at the farmhouse where Felicity was waiting for him. "Everyone's waiting for you." Felicity told him.

"Sorry, just something I had to take care of." Oliver apologises as he starts walking towards the house.

"So I guess you're off the secret-keeping wagon." Felicity said.

"That's not it." Oliver replied, turning to face her.

"Then what is it?" Felicity asked.

"I think Damian Darhk has someone operating in Central City. So I sent Barry and Atchaco to run down a lead." Oliver lied.

"This kind of lead?" Felicity wonders, taking out the paper she took from Barry. "They didn't know what they was giving me. But I run enough tests on your blood to recognize your DNA sequence anywhere."

"Felicity, you don't…" Oliver started to say.

"You had to run a paternity test, didn't you?" Felicity questioned.

"Look, Felicity…" Oliver tried to say.

"Stop. I cannot hear another lie." Felicity told him.

"It's more complicated than that." Oliver admitted.

"God, Oliver, you are the only person on this planet who considers the truth complicated. Just to be clear, I don't care that you have a child. I can't believe that you have a child that you didn't tell me about. I care that you lied to me just now." Felicity said as her eyes watered.

"You know that my whole world just exploded? And I think that I'm entitled to a... A minute to process that by myself." Oliver replied, his eyes watering as well.

"You somehow managed to go to CCPD and track down Barry and Atchaco. You didn't keep it to yourself; you kept it from me. When were you planning on telling me?" Felicity wondered.

"I don't know." Oliver admits.

"If you loved me, if you trusted me, telling me this wouldn't be such a burden-- it would be a relief. But you don't trust me. You never will. And how can I be with someone who doesn't trust me?" Felicity said, she then turned and walked away.

"Are you guys ok?" Atchaco asked as she and Barry walked over to him after his conversation with Felicity.

"Oliver? What happened?" Barry questioned/

"Nothing. I'm fine." Oliver answered, walking up to the house.

"Uh, are you sure? I mean, you don't seem fine. You seem out of it." Atchaco noticed.

"Is everyone inside?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah." Barry replied and Oliver walks inside.

"Coming up on Savage's deadline." Oliver warns.

"Where's Felicity?" Laurel questions.

"Are the gauntlets working?" Oliver asked, ignoring Laurel's question.

"They have to be, we're out of time." Caitlin said.

"I think they'll work. That staff's going to go from 'can't touch this' to 'invisible touch.'" Cisco told them.

"Savage doesn't know Kendra has access to her full abilities, which makes you our ace in the hole. We're going to put you up against Savage; you attack with the element of surprise. I will lay down the cover fire. Barry, Atchaco, one of you will speed in, and–" Oliver starts to say.

"Snatch the staff, We got it." Atchaco said.

"Where do you need us?" Diggle asked as Laurel and Thea stood next to him.

"This me, Barry, Atchaco, Kendra and Carter. We've got it." Oliver reassured them.

"Ollie!" Thea groaned.

"No, we're not risking any more lives tonight than we have to." Oliver then walks away.

"Suit up." Barry told Kendra and Carter.

Later, Oliver, Macanese and Barry walked into Jurgens Industrial in their costumes. Kendra and Carter were suited up with them and also chained up. "You brought them. And dressed for the occasion, I see." Savage noticed as he walked in with his staff.

"We're only doing this because two lives aren't worth two cities." Oliver told him.

"Well, in that case, you are wiser than I gave you credit for." Savage scoffs. "It's been a lifetime. Still wearing those ridiculous outfits, I see. You don't need to be here for this. The culling has a tendency to be... Unsightly. Your new friends betrayed you."

"Just do what you're going to do." Carter tells him.

"It's wonderful to see you again, my love." Savage said, looking at Kendra.

"I will never be your love." Kendra told him.

"I know. That always makes this…" Savage takes out a dagger from his coat. "Easier. Chay-Ara... Parting is such sweet sorrow." Savage walks over to Kendra. He then goes to stab Kendra but Oliver grabs Savages arm and starts to fight him as Barry and Macanese unchain Kendra and Carter. Savage shoots his staff at the two speedsters and knocks them down and then Oliver managed to get Savage to drop his staff.

"Now, Kendra!" Carter orders as he spreads his wings. Kendra tries to spread her wings by doing what Carter told to her do, to use her anger but nothing happened. Savage then trew two knives and they both hit carter in the chest. Carter dies and falls to the floor.

"Carter!" Kendra yelled as Carter's life force leaves his body. Kendra gets mad and charges at Savage, but she neds up getting stabbed. She instantly dies as her life force going into Savage. Oliver then shoots an arrow at the immortal man but it just bounces off him.

Barry grabs the staff as he was wearing the gauntlets and he shoots it at Savage. "I've got it!" Barry screamd. Saavge just holds the blast from the staff, it wasn't working. "The gauntlets aren't working!"

Oliver and Macanese run over to Barry and grab onto the staff themself. "You got to let go, Barry!" Macanese tells him.

"No, I'm not leaving either of you." Barry told them.

"You're fast enough to get away, go!" Oliver said.

"Ollie, no." Barry replies.

"Barry, please go." Macanese tells him.

"I am not going to let you die… not again." Barry replied.

Macanese retracts the lower half of her mask and kisses Barry, she then pulls away and looks at him. "Everything is going to be just fine, I promise you." Macanese reassured him.

"Run, Barry. Run." Oliver told him.

The staff pushes Barry away. As Macanese and Oliver were distracted, Savage shoves them to the floor and takes the staff back. He then slams it into the ground and a big burst of bright blue fire shoots out of it. Barry is horrified as he watches Oliver and Macanese get burned alive. He then takes off running as the flames chase after him, destroying everything in is path. The flames reaches the farmhouse. It kills Diggle, Laurel, Thea, Cisco, Caitlin and Felicity in an instant. Barry runs so fast that he travels back in time, he sees himself before it disappears. He arrives at the warehouse where Oliver and Malcolm were waiting when Macanese arrives next to him.

"Thank you for coming. I know this is more than a little crazy." Oliver said.

Barry's face widens when he realises that he had gone back in time again. Minutes later, Savage arriws at the warehouse. "I came to this meeting out of curiosity. It is now sated. Bring Khufu and Chay-Ara to Jurgens Industrial in 24 hours, or I will see you dead and buried under the bodies of your loved ones." Savage warns. He then drops the arrow that Oliver shot at him and leaves.

Macanese turns to Barry and notices the weird look on his face. "Barry, you all right?" Macanese asked. Barry looks at her intensely and nods.

Later they arrive back at the farmhouse. "We need to brief the team. Come up with some type of counterattack." Oliver tells them.

"It's not going to work." Barry informed him.

"What?" Oliver questioned.

"What on earth are you talking about." Atchaco asked.

"Oof, nothing. All right, never mind, I shouldn't have said anything." Barry replied.

"Barry, what's going on?" Oliver questioned.

"Ok, look, this isn't going to make any sense to you, but I--all right, so I traveled back in time…" Barry started to say.

"Again?" Atchaco wondered.

"Yeah." Barry answered. "I travelled from when we tried to take out Savage. I mean, later, when we tried to take him down in the future, and it doesn't work."

"You're right, that doesn't make sense to me." Oliver admits.

"Our world is stranger than yours." Atchaco reminds him.

"Well, maybe we use that to our advantage. You say that whatever we do against Savage doesn't work?" Oliver questions.

"Yeah." Barry nodded.

"Then we come up with a new plan." Oliver tells them.

"No. No, no, no. Ok, look, you can't. You--when I mess with time, it just, it doesn't end well." Barry informs him.

"He is right." Atchaco agreed.

"But what you're telling me is that it already doesn't end well. Barry, people in our line of work, we don't get second chances. We need to take this one." Oliver tells him.

"All right, I hope you're right." Barry replies.

"All right, let's start with what went wrong." Atchaco told him.

"It's you, Oliver. When we go up against Savage, your head's not in the game. You're not yourself." Barry told him.

"Why not?" Oliver asked.

"Oliver…" Barry started to say.

"Barry! Why not?" Oliver questioned.

"Just tell him, Barry. I mean how bad can it be?" Atchaco asked.

Barry faces Oliver. "Ok, are you planning on giving us a hair sample to run forensics on in the near future?" Barry wonders.

"Yeah…" Oliver said.

"Well, we did. And you were pretty shaken after the fact. And then Felicity found out, and you guys had a pretty big fight, and it sounded like it was over between you two." Barry explains.

"What was the fight about?" Oliver questions.

"I'm pretty sure you're someone's father, Oliver." Barry tells him and Oliver's face widens. "So when we go up against Savage, you're not focused. And then, Kendra can't access her powers, and then the tech they're developing to counteract Savage's staff does not work, and... Everyone dies, Oliver."

"This time they won't. This time we do things differently." Oliver said.

The next day, Cisco was in the shed working on the gauntlets when Oliver walks in. "How are they coming?" Oliver asked.

"For my first pair of anti-Gandalf magic staff gloves, pretty good, I think." Cisco told him.

"Just double and triple check, ok? I'm a little worried about them not working." Oliver said.

"Based on what?" Cisco questioned.

"Call it a gut instinct. Also, I need you to talk to Kendra." Oliver answered.

"Oh, I get it. You shoot arrows, you give love tips, it's like you're Cupid or something." Cisco jokes.

"What Carter is doing with her isn't working. We need her power to fight Savage, and we need her to be able to use it reliably." Oliver reminds him.

"Carter's a jerk. But he's supposed to be with her, 'cause destiny says they're supposed to be together, and he's supposed to be her soul mate, so I'm not even sure what I can say–" Cisco admits.

"We need to do something, Cisco. We need to reach her." Oliver told him.

"Egyptian reincarnation is not in my wheelhouse." Cisco said.

"What Kendra is going through is about accepting who she really is. Who better to help her do that than a guy who is clearly in love with her?" Oliver wonders, walking away.

"I don't know if we're at the L-bomb stage yet." Cisco admits. Oliver turns around and gives Cisco a questioning face. "I'll talk to her."

Meanwhile, Kendra was in the backyard with Carter. "You don't think that's a little bit insane?" Kendra questions.

"No, I think it's noble. I think it's what makes them all heroes." Carter tells him.

Cisco then walks up. "Yeah, that's nice. I'm going to talk to Kendra for a minute, He-Man." Cisco said and Carter scoffs.

"Talk, man. Thanks." Carter huffed. He pats Cisco on the shoulder and walks away.

"We should talk." Cisco told her.

"I thought you were the one that said we should wait till this was all over." Kendra points out.

"Oh, this isn't that talk. This is the ;trying to help you sprout wings' talk." Cisco said.

"Yeah, well, according to Carter, I'm a warrior priestess, and rage is the key to rediscovering myself." Kendra replied.

"Yeah, I'm not surprised Mr. Aggro thinks that, but I think he's got this whole thing twisted. Instead of focusing on the warrior, focus on the priestess, and the nurturer, the good-hearted person inside of you." Cisco explains.

"How do you know I was so good-hearted 4,000 years ago?" Kendra asked.

"Because I know you, Kendra. Some things don't change. I think you're resisting what Carter's trying to teach you because it means remembering who you were, and that is somebody else. Somebody who loves him." Cisco tells her.

"Ever since I emerged, I've been remembering our first life, in Egypt. But I've been telling Carter I can't remember anything, because-- because I don't want to accept that I'm some reincarnated Egyptian warrior priestess." Kendra admits.

"Ok. Yeah, that's pretty heavy. But it's also pretty amazing. I've been through this, you know I have. And what you're going through right now, this is a gift. It's a miracle that most people don't even get to experience." Cisco reminds her.

"Yeah, well, it feels like a nightmare." Kendra confessed.

"Yeah, but that-- that is a choice. You can choose the other thing to remember who you are, or who you were. Close your eyes. Just close your eyes." Cisco tells her. Kendra exhales and closes her eyes. "Let yourself. Let yourself remember."

Kendra starts to have a memory. Chay-Araa woke up in bed with Khufu, she tries to get up but he pulls her back in. "Hey, hey, hey, wait. Stay a little longer." Khufu told her and they kuss each other.

"I can't. Hath-Set and I need to make another offering to Horus. The augers have said more sky rocks will be falling soon." Chay-Ara complained as she gets out of bed and puts on her robe.

"Well, I hear he covets you." Khufu said.

"How fortunate I know the man who can handle him." Shay-Ara smiled.

She turns around and Savage is standing in the doorway. "Prince Khufu. What a surprise to find you here. In Chay-Ara's bedchamber. Surely you must know that the clergy is forbidden to lie with royalty." Savage said.

"Get out." Khufu ordered.

"The penalty for such a transgression is death." Savage continued.

"I said, get out." Khufu repeated.

Khufu then charges at Savage, but the man hits Khufu with his staff and shoves him to the ground. "I'm not afraid of your father. Soon the sky rocks will decimate this kingdom and end his rule. But first... I shall know Chay-Ara as you have known her." Savage tells him as he touches Chay-Ara face. Khufu tackles Savage to the ground and they start to fight. Chay-Ara grabs a dagger off her table and she stabs Savage in the back. Savage pulls the dagger and uses it on Skufu and stabs him in the stomach. Khufu falls to the floor as Chay-Ara runs over to him.

"It'll be alright." Chay-Ara reassures him.

"Look behind you." Khufu gasps. By the time Chay-Ara turns, Savage stabs her in the back like she did to him.

Suddenly, the whole temple starts shaking as meteors start falling from the sky outside. "The sky rocks have come to do their work. And my hate will be everlasting. My enmity will never die. And I'll follow you from this life to the next, and to the next and to the next." Savage smirks.

"Horus... Your children need you now. We need your protection. Shroud us in your wings." Chay-Ara begs.

"I will wait... for eternity. Come back to me." Khufu said. Khufu then die as the staff and dagger glow blue. Then the temple collapses on all of them.

Kendra then comes out of the memory with a surprise look on her face. "What? What happened?" Cisco asked.

"I think I know how to beat Vandal Savage." Kendra answered.

Late at night, Cisco and Kendra walk into the living room of the house. "Oliver, you were right. I don't know how you knew, but you were right-- the gauntlets won't work, they're missing a critical element." Cisco told them.

"How do you know?" Diggle questioned.

"Because I remembered. I remember how Savage killed us the first time, back in Egypt." Kendra said.

"I've never been able to remember our first death." Carter admits.

"Well, these sky rocks--meteors-- they fell and they completely destroyed the royal palace." Kendra tells them.

"During the Middle Kingdom, Egypt experienced a high level of meteorite activity." Felicity explained and everyone looks at her. "I know stuff."

"Which is one of the many reasons we love you so much, but also doesn't seem to help us stop Savage." Laurel replied.

"It's the calamity Professor Boardman was referencing. The meteors, they had a glow about them. And Savage's staff had two gemstones with the exact same glow." Kendra told them.

"Yeah, the gemstones might be made up of the same element as the meteorite." Atchaco realised.

"The Egyptians would use meteorite in their craftsmanship." Felicity said, walking over to her laptop.

"And the minerals glow in proximity to each other." Caitlin replied.

"Like Sankara Stones." Cisco noticed.

"Oh, wait, the Indiana Jones reference is the only thing I understood." Thea admits.

"Two pieces of the same meteorite, like an nth metal... that is the key to counter-acting the staff." Cisco explained.

"Believe it or not, this isn't actually the craziest thing I've heard today." Oliver said.

"There's a sample of the meteorite from the Middle Kingdom at the Keystone City Museum of Natural... History." Felicity said as she looks at her laptop.

Barry then super speeds out of the house and comes back with the meteorite. "Hopefully I got the right one." Barry said.

"I could synthesize the compatible isotope out of this and coat the gauntlets with it." Cisco told them.

"Ok. Do it. Savage doesn't know that Kendra has gained access to all of her abilities. It makes you our ace in the hole." Oliver replied.

"Where do you need us?" Diggle asked as Laurel and Thea stood next to him.

"Suit up." Oliver answered.

Later, Barry, Macanese and Oliver arrow at Jurgens Industrial. "Oliver everyone's in position." Macanese informed him.

"All right." Oliver replied.

"Are you sure about this?" Barry asked.

"About changing the future? Barry, what can happen here that is worse than what already did?" Oliver answered.

"If I knew that, I wouldn't be so worried." Barry admitted.

"Let's do it." Oliver told them and the speedsters nod.

Minutes later, they were face to face with Savage. "It's wonderful to see you again, my love." Savage said.

"I will never be your love." Kendra tells him.

"I know." Savage replied, taking out a dagger from his coat. "That always makes this easier. Chay-Ara... Parting is such sweet sorrow."

Oliver shoots and arrow which broke Kendra and Carter out of their chains. Carter charges at Savage and he shoves Carter out of the way with his staff. "Now, Kendra!" Oliver orders.

Kendra sprouts out her wings. She then flies over to Savage and knocks him to the ground. Savage gets up and he then shoots at Barry, Macanese and Oliver but they all move out of the way. The tires of a van are squealing as it comes towards Savage, he shoots at the can with his staff but it doesn't do much damage. Thea, Diggle and Laurel come running out of the van. Laurel steps forwards and does her Canary Cry. Diggle and Thea then start shooting at Savage with their bullets and arrows.

Savage tries to shoot at them with the staff but they all duck out of the way. They then all start fighting Savage, but unlike last time Macanese super speeds over and grabs the staff with a smile. Macanese was wearing the gauntlets and as soon as her hands touched the staff they and her fake eyes, glowed bright blue. "Get clear!" Everyone moves away from Savage as Macanese shoots at Savage with the staff. Carter and Kendra take Diggle, Thea and Laurel out of there. "The gauntlets are working." Macanese smiled. Oliver then runs over to help Macanese and Barry runs over as well.

"No, no, no, Oliver, Macanese get yourself to safety!" Barry said.

"We're not leaving each other!" Oliver replied. They grabbed the staff and with full force, they shot a blue flame towards Savage, which instantly turned him to dust and so did the staff. It was all over, they had won.

Seconds later, everyone comes running in. "Did we do it? Is he gone?" Kendra asked.

"Yeah, it looks like. I knew you could do it." Carter told her.

"I'm having the strangest deja vu." Laurel admitted.

"You're not the only one." Oliver told her.

The next day, Oliver, Barry, Atchaco, Cisco, Kendra and Caitlin were all walking down the streets of Central City. "So how do you feel now that Savage is pushing daisies? Does this mean you guys are the immortal ones now and he's the one who gets reincarnated? 'Cause that would suck." Cisco said.

"I just sprouted wings a few days ago, and I'm just trying to wrap my head around that." Kendra told them.

"He does raise a good point, though. Savage is gone for good now, right?" Atchaco wondered.

"I don't know. We never defeated him before. But we're free." Carter smiled and then he an Kendra give each other a hug.

"Ugh, get a room." Cisco chuckles.

"You finally have the rest of your lives in front of you. Have you thought about what you're going to do?" Oliver questions.

"Carter says in our past lives, we used to help people. And after everything you guys have done for me, I think I should give that a try." Kendra answered.

"You make it sound like this try is happening somewhere else?" Barry asked.

"In our prior incarnation, we used to live in St. Roch, and we really liked it there." Carter replied.

"Could Cisco and I have a moment?" Kendra asked.

"Of course." Carter answered. Everyone then walks away, leaving Kendra and Cisco alone.

"Here we go." Cisco said.

"Cisco... I'm really sorry." Kendra apologised.

"You know what, it's fine. It's cool. It's actually kind of a classic story-- boy meets girl, boy gets girl, girl sprouts wings and flies away with her reincarnated soul mate. The only part I don't get is you don't even really seem to like him." Cisco pointed out.

"It's kind of a complicated relationship." Kendra admitted.

"Hmm." Cisco hums.

"Like most 4,000 year old relationships are, I guess." Kendra said and Cisco chuckles. "A week ago, I was a barista and I really didn't have a plan for what I was going to do with my life."

"And now you do?" Cisco asked.

"Well, at least I know I want to find out." Kendra said.

"Ok." CIsco sighs. "I made you something. To remember me by, I guess. I made it out of the nth medal Barry got from the meteorite. It's got a micro GPS chip embedded in it. So if you're ever in trouble, I'll come find you." He hands her a belt with a Hawkgirl symbol on it. Kendra smiles at him and then gives him a kiss and then slowly pulls away. "What was that for?"

"For being you. Thank you, Cisco." Kendra smiled. Barry looks at her sadly as she walks away.

Meanwhile, Barry and Atchaco were with Oliver. "Well, you did it, Barry. Everyone's alive. Our guardian angel." Oliver said.

"Aww." Atchaco chuckles.

"You know, that's what you told me I could be when I told you about my powers." Barry admits.

"Meant it then and I know it now." Oliver replied.

"Hey, Oliver, um, we need to have a difficult conversation, I think." Barry said.

"About my son? God, it feels weird to say that." Oliver told him.

"Less about your son and more about whether or not you're going to tell Felicity about him." Atchaco tells him.

"I don't think that's any of your business." Oliver replies.

"You know what, yeah, you're right, it's not really our business, except I told you, when I mess with time, time messes back. And we've already changed how things turned out with Savage, and I'm worried about temporal backlash." Barry replies.

"Wait, you both think that the timeline cares about what I tell my girlfriend?" Oliver asked.

"What are you going to tell her?" Atchaco questioned.

"Well, you both are right when you guys say that the rules keep changing and that the lives that we lead, they make us feel... powerless. And it makes me wonder if... if William wouldn't be better off with my world kept separate from his." Oliver admits.

"Look, Oliver, take it from someone who didn't get to grow up with his father-- I think the best thing for William is for you to be a part of his life." Barry tells him.

"Thanks, Barry. You too, Atchaco." Oliver told them.

"Yeah." Atchaco smiled and then she and Barry hug Oliver.

"I'm not really a hugger." Oliver laughs.

"Yeah, tell me something we don't know." Barry replies.

"But the thing is, we are fast enough to just hug you without you knowing, so you might as well let us." Atchaco smiles.

"Fine." Oliver sighed. Oliver hugs Barry and then goes and hugs Atchaco. "Yeah. Thanks."

See, that wasn't so bad, right?" Atchaco wonders. Oliver chuckles and then he walks away.

Later, Oliver goes to Samantha's house and she told him that he couldn't tell anyone that William is his son. "These are my conditions, Oliver. You've already asked me for the world; I am just asking for the same in return." Samantha told him.

"Ok. I won't tell anyone. Even Felicity." Oliver sighed.

"Felicity, that's a nice name." Samantha compliments.

"She is a nice person. She's the best." Oliver replied.

"William is in his room. You're just a friend of mummy's, ok?" Samantha tells him.

A few minutes later, William was playing with his flash action figure when Oliver walks in. "Hey, William." Oliver greets him.

"Hello." William returns.

"You like the Flash?" Oliver asked.

William nods and holds up a female action figure, one of Thunder. "Also like Thunder too." William smiles.

"Can I tell you a secret? I've actually met the Flash and Thunder." Oliver tells him and Williams face widens.

"What are they like? Are they cool?" William wonders.

"Yeah, they're cool. They're… They're two of the best people that I know. I'm Oliver." He introduces himself, shaking Williams hand. "I'm a friend of your mum's. We've known each other a long time."

"Want to play action figures?" Willian asked as he hands him an action figure.

"Sure, sure. William, I'd love to come by every once in a while and say hello. Would that be all right with you?" Oliver questions.

"It's Captain Cold. He's a bad guy." William told him.

"Yes, he is. The Flash and Thunder are going to have to be very fast to catch him." Oliver smiled.

"They will. They're the fastest man and woman alive." William told him.

William moves the action figures and it's the Captian Cold action figure that Oliver was holding. "Oh!" Oliver said.

"Gotcha." William smiles.

Late at night, Felicity and Oliver were back in Starling City. They walk into their loft which was still a mess. "Oh, what a mess. Well, we have to clean this place up. Unless you're ready to tell me what you said you'd tell me." Felicity said.

"Felicity, um…" Oliver sighs as he sits down on the couch.

"Oliver…" Felicity replies, picking up a pillow. "We have a life together. Right? We're a team."

"Ow." Oliver jokes as she playfully hits him with the pillow.

"If something is bothering you and I don't know about it, I can't help you fix it. I can't be a good teammate." Felicity reminds him as she sits on his lap. "I love you, and that makes me want to be the best teammate ever. Not in a Lance Armstrong performance enhancing drugs kind of way. More like...More positive sports analogy I would use if I knew anything about sports. What had you acting so strange when we got to Central City?"

"It doesn't matter, it's over. And I am back in Star City, with you. Come here." Oliver smiled. Felicity got closer to Oliver as she rests her hand on him. But we all know that he should have listened to Barry and Atchaco. He should have told her the truth because in the end, it is just going to come back to bite him in the ass.

Later at Jurgens Industrial, Savage's ashes where still lying on the floor. Suddenly, Malcolm comes walking up to them with a jar. Malcolm kneels down and starts putting the ash into the jar. "Your hate will be everlasting. Your enmity will never die. It will follow them from this life into the next, and the next... And the next. You owe me one, buddy." Malcolm smiles as he shuts the lid on the jar.
