The castle over the misty plains

Over an insignificant city of no renown a ghoulish terror has taken hold: the abandoned castle of a time long gone has come alive with a force that no one understands but nevertheless fear.

The captain of the city guard takes command of most of his forces and makes haste to enter that den of evil and slay whatever is there.
