Assumption Trapped: Teaser

Everyone gasped when they hear the three final stroke of the gavel indicating that the judge has a final decision no one can break.

A loud voice of triumph echoed every corner of the court room. It was from the side of the accusatory. They exchange handshakes and thank you's, some are even hugging each other because of so much joy. They just won the case and savoring their victory is a must. Everyone on that side was happy knowing that the court was in their favor. Indeed a good decision.

While on the other side of the room, a man wearing a dark orange t-shirt and has 'detainee' printed on its back silently listening the triumph of the accusatory. His both hand were in the surface of his designated table and two police officer on her both side.

He was the defendant.

Looking plainly at the table a single tear fell. Disappointment filled his whole being. She cannot contain the mixed emotions she's starting to feel. The man lifted his gaze and look straight to the judge infront.

The both police officers was alarmed when he stood up. Ready to stop the poor man for what it's up to.

He faced one the police officer and begging was visible on his face.

"Please officer, let me speak." He said nearly begging.

The man didn't wait for any response and just return his gaze infront, looking at the judge.

"I'm sorry for my outrageous speak, your honor." He started and the whole room went silent when they hear the defendant voice.

"I know I'm not in any position to demand nor disobey your decision but I'm ready for any punishment for my audacity just... Just let me speak and hear my voice, your honor!"

"The decision was givin and firm! No need to hear his sort of dramas, your honor!" The attorney of the complainant shouted.

Whispers started. Whispering about the sudden want to speak of the defendant.

"Quite!" The judge exclaimed and rapped his gavel once again.

"Please, your honor. I have nothing to do with all of this! You're sentencing the wrong person. The wrong felon!" The man shouted.

The attorney of the defendant can't stop his client. The two police officer start to hold the man's arm but to no avail they failed. When the man escape the police grip he went straight into the aisle. Everyone went silent and stuck on their track when suddenly the man kneeled.

His head was lifted and just staring at the judge with full of beggings. "Please your honor, I have nothing to do with this! Believe me, please your honor, believe me! I'm innocent but proven guilty but I'm not guilty at all!"

"I did nothing. I was just framed up. Believe me, your honor. It wasn't me! I believe someone framed me up" The man who's kneeling infront started to cry like a lost little boy in the dark forrest. Full of hope and eagerness, he once lifted her gaze.

"Your honor, by your will, please give me enough time. Give me time and I will proved to everyone my innocence and I will clear my name! I will take any conditions in exchange of this! Just... Don't give your decision yet, let me clear myself first! I promise in the name of this court, infront of you, I will proved my innocence and take all punishments and the lifetime imprisonment when proven guilty after my last trial!"

"I will clear my name and prove my innocence at all cost! Even if it cost me my life, I'll prove to this court that I'm innocent and just a victim of framed up, your honor!" The man firmly added.

But no matter how hard the man try. A decision is a decision. The judge was in mercy to see the man kneeling before him. Hearing those words was giving him pain yet doubtness. For a long time of being a judge it was his first time to witness this kind of scene. It was his first time to hear a sentence person to take an oath under the court name and so as to himself. He could feel the sincerity and braveness on her voice but he was a judge. A licensed judge who's giving the serve punishment to every criminal doing.

A judge decision wasn't breakable and we stand on our decision!

A simple shook of head from the judge made the man's world even shorten. He look down, feeling empty.

"I'm sorry Mr. Riegn, but a decision was made. This court proved that you are guilty for homicides case under the revised penal code, reclusion temporal! You will be imprisoned for 12 years and 3 months and for your outrageous speak you will be charged 1 month cleaning all the comfort rooms on your assigned jail. All clear! Case closed. Dismissed!" The judge firmly said and rapped his gavel for the last time.

Everyone whispers as they all leave the room. Talking about everything happened. The man who's still kneeling lost the ability to stand. He needed to be grab by the police to stand up. A mocking laugh was the last voice that could be hear in the court room.

The man called Riegn didn't say a thing after that. Feeling so hopeless, he just let the police dragged him out and bring to his prison cell he will be living for more than a decade.
