“We need to move out of here by the end of the month,” Troy began firmly.
Eve looked up at him in confusion. “What?”
“Don’t ‘what’ me. We need to move out. I made a costly mistake. We cannot afford to live here. It’s going to take me a few months to revert our cashflow, but it will mean some drastic changes.”
Eve’s heart went cold for a few seconds. “How drastic are we talking about?”
“I’ll need you to sell your car, we can’t afford to rent this place, we need to put off buying the house for at least three months. I will need to inject those savings into the business.” Troy told her bluntly.
“My car is a business asset of my company,” Eve told him flatly. “I can’t just sell a company car to bail out your company.”
Troy frowned. She hadn’t reported back any major accounts in the last six months. Her business was closing multiple small-time organisations to do consultations for, but these were not the kind of contracts that raked in big money.
